VALERIA'S POV !

Alex and I were trying on our outfits for homecoming which was the next day. "Okay, you can turn around now." I said. Alex turned and his jaw dropped causing me the smile. "Like what you see?" I asked with a smirk. He shook his head vigorously.

I grabbed his wrist and walked out of his room. "Okay, all eyes on us." Alex walked down the hallway, holding my hand. "How fly are my vintage threads for the dance?" Alex spun on his heel.

"Don't flatter yourself Alvarez." I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Papito, you look so handsome in your abuelo's outfit." Lydia smiled. " And Valeria you look so beautiful in that dress."

"I agree." Alex smiled and put his arm around me.

"I assume you guys are going together." Penelope said.

"Yup, Val had and epic big ask."

"It is not polite to talk about your girlfriend's fundillo, no matter how big it is." Lydia scolded him.

"No, Lydia. Big ask." I said putting emphasis on the "k". "It's the way kids invite each other to dances now."

FLASHBACK !

Sofia and Matt were helping me ask Alex out to the dance. Even though we were already dating and we were obviously going with eachother, I wanted to be extra.

I was on the roof waiting for Matt to come up here with Alex. "I still don't understand why I have to wear a blindfold." I heard a familiar voice speak.

"Because it's a surprise, stupid." Matt laughed. Matt guided him towards me and untied his blindfold. I held up to sign that said "You caught my attention now let's go to homecoming and have a ball." I was wearing his baseball jersey and one of his hats.

Alex immediately smiled at me before saying "Of course. Is that even a question?" I hugged him tightly and looked over his shoulder, seeing Sofia recording us.

END OF FLASHBACK !

"It's a whole obnoxious performance. I am so glad Syd is homeschooled and not into this stuff." Elena said.

Next thing you know Syd comes through the front door. "Oh, hey, Syd. What's happening?" Penelope asked as she opened the door for them. Syd quickly walked over to Elena and made her sit down in one of the chairs at the table.

"I don't know, but I think Syd is wearing their grandpa's outfit too." Alex commented on the suit Syd was wearing. Syd began to sing an absolutely awful song for Elena. At the end of all of the bad singing Syd asked Elena to go to the dance with them.

"Yes! Of course I'll go!" Elena jumped up and hugged Syd.

What the hell did I just watch

"What? But I thought you said-." Alex started before he was cut off but Elena.

"Shut up!" Elena yelled.

THE NEXT DAY !

I walked into the gym hand in hand with Alex as Elena and Syd walked behind us. Syd looked around in awe. "Whoa! School-schools are way bigger than home schools. I can't believe it had its own ballroom."

"Syd, this is a gym." I chuckled.

"What? I'm gonna hit the restroom." They mentioned before turning over to Elena. "I cannot wait to meet all of your friends." Syd ran out and Alex and I looked at Elena with a "are you serious" face.

"All of your friends?" I questioned.

"Yeah, so, um..." Elena trailed off. "Syd kinda thinks I'm really popular." Alex and I bust out laughing.

"Why would Syd think you're popular?" Alex asked. "You're only friends with the teachers."

"And the principal!" Elena exclaimed. "I maybe didn't correct some false assumptions. Syd knows I'm president of a lot of clubs and it's not my fault that people hate powerful women. The same thing happened to Hillary."

"You can't say that about everything." I rolled my eyes. "So, how are you gonna pull this off?"

"I can skim Facebook, Instagram and snapchat and find a few facts about these ding-dongs to make it seem like we're friends." She showed us her phone.

"Well I'm gonna go hang out with my actual friends. Maybe, you're the ding-dong." Alex grabbed my hand and dragged me away from her.

I was messing around with Jade and Celeste. We were getting a little hype and started twerking on eachother. We were towards the corner because if we got caught twerking in out catholic school then we were fucked. I felt eyes on me and I looked back and saw Alex staring at me. When he noticed he turned bright red and kept talking to Finn and Hugo. "I'll be back." I turned to the girls.

"You better go now Alex is staring again." Jade chuckled. I walked over to Alex and the boys and put my arm around Alex's waist. He jumped a lil at the sudden action.

"Hey, can I borrow Alex for a second?" I asked. Finn and Hugo nodded and I pulled Alex over to and empty table. "So, I saw you staring." I whispered in his ear. He started to get flustered and turned red.

"I-I didn't know you c-could do that." He stuttered. I placed a hand on thigh.

"No need to get shy, papito." I smirked. "I'll see you later." I got up and walked back to my friends.

After a while "It's You" by Ali Gatie started playing. (Hehe). Alex walked over to me and held his hand out. "Wanna dance?" He asked. I nodded.

Alex placed a hand in my waist and pulled me close. I intertwined our fingers and started to sway to the beat.

There we stood. Staring into eachothers eyes. Goofy smiled plastered on our faces as we started to lean in.

Our lips connected. We pulled away seconds later. I rest my forehead against his. "I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too." He replied.
