asher is an extremely carefree guy. well most of the time he is anyway. so let's focus on the 'most of the time' part for now. he loves making jokes and joking around with just about everyone and anything- even people he doesn't know. he's a sweetheart and knows how to treat a girl (and overall PEOPLE) well. that's because he was basically only raised by his mother, and lived with a younger sister. he tries his best not to judge others, since he doesn't know what they are going through, and he goes out of his way to make at least one more smile or happy in a day. he's set a goal in which he said he has to be nice to at least one person each day. and that's because he knows people struggle in life. he's a loyal friend, and is always there to offer support or a helping hand to both his best mates and random people. even if he doesn't know you, ask for help and he'll be sure to do whatever he can to the best of his ability.
he's a good listener and talker and knows how to switch in between. with being a talker, he can offer advice on pretty much anything. but with listener, he knows how to sit quietly with an open ear and shoulder to cry on, just so you can let everything out. he won't let anyone else know about what you shared with him and promises are important to asher. he's a people person and does really well with kids. most kids actually happen to like him and he would even babysit for extra money when he was younger.
asher tends to be a bit possessive and overprotective when it comes to people he cares about and loves- such as his friends, any girlfriends he might have at the time, and his mother and sister. his overprotective behavior might not be the best in tense situations, as he will not care and completely lash out at a person- verbally and physically. he can't help it. all he sees is red and anger over takes him.

jordan is probably one of his closest friends. she's been there for him through thick and thin, ever since middle school. he had seen her getting bullied, cornered in the halls and immediately jumping in. ever since that they, the two had been close friends. she's his best friend after all. even after going weeks without talking, as soon as they see each other once again, it's like they saw each other yesterday.

alexander jones
this is probably asher's closest guy friend. he's his best friend in other words, not to get all mushy about it. they basically grew up together. seeing as, asher's mother and alexander's mother were close friends ever since high school. plus, they lived right next door to each other. they're best mates and are partners in crime, ever since they were much younger. they'd always get in trouble together in elementary through high school, and they're still friends.

asher is completely a momma's boy. he loves his mother and will do anything to keep her safe and happy. he thinks she deserves the best and only the best- especially after his father's death. he is really close to her, and it's been that way even before his father's death. when it comes to his mom, he is overprotective, and would definitely fight anyone that tried to make a move on her.

at the time, before his father had passed away, asher was close to him. sure he wasn't as close as he was with his mom, but he still loved his father dearly. when he did pass away though, asher took it pretty bad. he has a few memories of his father and visits his grave whenever he can, though he makes sure to do it at least three to four times a month.

asher is completely overprotective when it comes to his little sister. she's his little sister after all. and he's her only brother. abigail was pretty young when their father passed away, so she doesn't remember much of him. that's why asher sees it as his job to look after her. if anyone makes her cry, that's it, you're done with. he loves his sister, but of course he loves teasing her. the two obviously still get into sibling fights, but they both care deep down.

xavier use to be one of his closest friends. until one day, they got into a huge fight. to this day, asher says he isn't exactly sure of all the details behind that fight, but they don't talk to this very day. sad yeah. (it might've been because asher caught xavier dyeing his sister before he tried making a move on her)

- something happening to his sister or mother; once again, asher feels like he's responsible for them. it's because he's the only guy in the family. call it the alpha male thing that guys happen to have. the thought of losing them too scares him even more to the core, since he had already lost his father.

- being diagnosed with lung cancer; his father had been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. that was actually the reason that he had passed away, sadly. the thought of him being diagnosed with the same thing or anything similar scares him because he doesn't want to leave his sister and mother alone. he didn't want for them to have to mourn another death.

asher was born jacksonville, florida. he lived with his mother, father and younger sister. when he was about 8 years old and his sister was about 5, their father passed away. his father had been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and they had given a lot of money (most of their money) in hopes of helping him by providing treatments. in the end it didn't work out and they still lost him . at that time, it hit him hard and locked everyone out for months, until he had seen how much his mother and sister had been affected by it all as well. it wasn't just him after all. that's when he knew he had to step up more. sure enough, he did exactly that. the following morning, he was back to being his old self, smiling and cracking jokes while he teased his little sister. that really seemed to help his mother and it eased her from all the stress she was under. he had also taken up a few jobs like mowing lawns and babysitting, before he started to work at a nearby cafe.
