Jogging up the stairs, you exit into a world on fire, surrounded by the rubble that remains of the surface level of the facility. The whole world is ravaged - buildings destroyed and on fire; trees felled; and large silhouettes darting from boulder to boulder. The forlorn, growling sound that has been haunting you all day echoes all around at a volume one hundred times greater than before.
Hearing a noise directly behind you, you turn just in time to see a large creature lunge off the stairs. It pins you to the ground, knocking the breath out of you. The creature's sharp foreleg impales you through the gut. You scream as it drags you closer, bringing you face-to-face with this terrifying creature.
Armored plates layer over the front of its face and a crown of spikes flare out from those plates. It's mouth stretches back almost all the way to the end of its jaw. A long tongue protrudes from the large, dripping thick, hot saliva onto your face. Your breathing turns strained as you slowly bleed out. With a low growl, the creature lurches forward. The last thing you feel is a sharp pain in your neck and then nothing.
