Chapter 4.

My dad was upset yesterday when I told him I had a wonderful day, he wanted me to call it off and beg to be taught at home again. It was probably not that big of a problem but I couldn't help it when I became angry. Me being angry awakened Hoseok and a raging anger of fire of spitting venomously at my dad. Now that I think of it, I was being so irrelevant. He doesn't deserve it at all, all he wants is to keep me safe.

But...

Hosoek is the only one who understands and knows how to keep me safe. He knows what I'm going through and knows how to help me. He is the evil in me that I have to obey to, even if I don't want to. 'Appearance vs Reality' is real in everyone. You have the outside then the inside, what's on the inside reflects on the outside but there a few people in this world who know how to hide it.

Unfortunately all good and bad things have consequences and I have yet some time to pay for the choice and decision I've made.

I hang the butterfly decorations inside my locker and place my new books in a neat pile. This is my space for the next 6 months before finals. I'm still not used to having a locker so my only thought is to make it look so comfortable.

"Hi, girl," I instantly smile when I see the guy from yesterday. Kookie.

"Hey Kookie," I respond a bit brightly. The thing I like about school is that I get to meet new people and talk to, not only girls, but boys.

"It's actually Jungkook," he laughs a little.

"Really? That actually does sound right," I look back at my locker really embarrassed. "Right, I am sorry, I thought it was Kookie," I should've known it wasn't Kookie. What kind of parents would name their son 'Kookie'?

"No problem," he mentions. "So yesterday... Was that my pencil in your hand?"

"I knew you'd come for it." I continue arranging my locker taking out the pencil from my black school bag handing it to him.

"Near or far, wherever my belongings are I believe that my heart will come to take it back." He says in a duh tone. "Seolhyun always plays evil pranks on me. So yesterday when you were with her I thought you had planned a trick." He eyes his pencil. "Thanks," he grins showing all his teeth.

"No problem." I clear my throat continuing.

"Last year she switched my pencil with an angry ex of mine. When my ex found out I had her pencil, she went berserk," he explains and my eyes enlarge. "We didn't end on a good note so me having her pencil made her really mad,"

"That's crazy,"

"I didn't get your name by the way," he leans on the locker next to mine placing his bag on the floor.

I look at him.

"Who's asking?" I ask seriously.

He laughs. "Me. Jeon Jungkook,"

I arch a brow.

"C'mon you can trust me with your name, its not like I'm gonna dig its history." He smirks, which makes him look kinda hot. "Unless you're an ancient kings daughter and living off his riches," he lights up.

"I am Ra. Daughter of the ancientness King." I do a 90° degree bow playing along. He cracks up clapping his hands.

"Nice one,"

"What are you talking about I am Ra," I look at him dead serious, he just smirks then ruffles my hair. "Ya! You!"

"Okay I am sorry, nice to meet you Ra-"

"There you are." A voice speaks. "How can you send me a message to meet you at the dance room yet you bail on the meeting spot?" We both turn to a blonde boy looking beyond calm.

"I don't understand why you're always upset. I was busy-"

"Of course," the blonde guy cuts in. "Can we go?"

"Don't be like that. This is–" Jungkook looks at me waiting for me to say my name but I just stare at the blonde boy. His eyes are just on Jungkook. "–Ra. she's a new student. I was just making her feel comf-"

"That's not your job is it?" he hardly glances at me before fixing his maroon blazer walking away. "Now let's go,"

Jungkook shows an apologetic smile before running to the blonde boy.

That was unexpected.

I push my books in the locker and head to my homeroom class.

The class only has a few learners including Choa and Sowon. They are both chatting and laughing but stop when they see me.

I take my seat in front of Sowon placing my bag on the floor. I take a deep breath and turn around.

"Morning Sowon. Morning Choa." They both turn to each other and finally turn to me.

"Ya, what's up with the formal greeting aren't we friends?" Sowon asks quoting the 'friends'.

"I'm not her friend." Choa says diverting her attention back on her phone.

"Oh sorry I meant, morning?" I say ignoring Choa's comment.

"That's still formal. You need to say 'morning' to people you don't know and hi," she waves her hand "To us." She points to herself and Choa.

"You only say 'hey' when we've reached that point in the friendship," She adds. "How do you not know this? Have you not had friends before?" Sowon asks.

"I'm sorry," I say feeling pathetic.

"Stop being apologetic." Sowon says with a little smile. "It's okay."

Choa let's out an annoyed sigh and batters her eyes at me.

"You have to find a new seat." She says.

"Why?" I ask. I've never really had to fight for myself. Hoseok had always been the one to look after me. But with him not being here, I guess I have to hold up my own part without being afraid.

"Seolhyun's boyfriend sits there." She says. "That means you aren't invited to be here anymore,"

"Don't be like that Choa," Sowon does an awkward laugh. "What she means is that you can't sit there anymore, but you can sit behind me," Sowon says carefully.

"Get going," Choa says still on her phone clearly taking selfies.

"No," her eyes widen by my answer. "Her boyfriend can go sit behind you."

"Do you know who Ji-" Choa starts.

"I don't care who he is,"  She stares at me bewildered for a few seconds. "This is a new school year, I'm pretty sure we can sit wherever we want. I sit here now,"

Sowon reclaims her posture and nods her head impressed. "You've got balls,"

"Big ones," Choa adds.

I turn around deciding to ignore them. They don't like me so I won't force myself on them.

The class became full as more and more students entered. Sowon and Choa had gone to create conversation elsewhere leaving me with my music.

Mr Xuimin enters the class making the class quiet, everyone silently rushing to their seats. I remove my earphones tucking it away nicely in my bag.

"She's still here?" Sowon quietly asks.

"She's stupid." Choa replies.

"Good morning class, there's no supervision for today except for Mr Tum but none of you are taught by," the class groans.

"On to more exciting news, elections for Leaders start next week Friday, you can start nominating those who you think are going to have a positive impact on the school."

"Park Choa!"

"Kim Namjoon!"

"MinTu!"

"Kim Haiju!"

Different people start to shout out names.

"Settle down hooligans, settle down."

"Ren!"

"Taehyungie oppa!"

"Minhyun!"

"Park Jimin!"

"Settle down! Settle down!" Silence again. "Geez! I didn't say announce your nominees."

"But how else are we suppose to nominate our Leaders?" a girl in the front asks.

Mr Xumin looks at the class strangely. "The old voting way, name on paper, fold paper and drop in box." he says. "The nominee board will be outside the purple wall, where you can nominate anyone only once, yes Mrs I have an opinion about everything, I'm looking at you." He finishes.

The door swings open and in walks Seolhyun and... Blonde boy in the maroon blazer.

"That's Seolhyun's boyfriend. Park Jimin. Better be ready to move." Choa lowly says. "We warned you once and twice and you didn't listen. So get ready to pay,"

Mr Xumin looks over his shoulders smiling, he motions for them to go on and take their seats.

Seolhyun walks in front of him with her arms behind holding onto his hands, as they both looked really happy.  It was at this moment that I knew I messed up.

Seolhyun whispers behind her before quickly walking away and going to her seat. He shakes his head still smiling, that is until he reaches me.

Jimin stops by the foot of my desk, well, his desk. His eyes scan me from the bottom to top with a blank expression, making my cheeks creep out a light shade of red. I look down at his feet and feel my ears turn pink. It's as if everyone was looking at me and waiting for something to go down. Especially Choa.

But instead, the most heavenly thing happens.

He starts walking away leaving me on his seat and I can breathe again. I'm left speechless - one, because I got a whiff of whatever amazing cologne he's wearing and two, he just let me sit at his desk and didn't go blonde boy crazy on me and three because everyone else seems confused.

"Hey," Seolhyun greets, I look at her and wave.

I'm surprised when I see everyone looking at me with thier mouths wide and eyes bulging out. It's when I notice that Mr Xumin was indeed still talking but the focus of the students had been on me. Talk about awkward. They start looking away seeing that nothing is happening.

"I must be the luckiest teacher this year to receive an honour student." Mr Xumin smiles obviously at the only boy in the maroon blazer, Jimin.

"I'm sure, for those who walked in late, you already know about the Leaders Elections?"

Seolhyun besides me nods.

"Any questions?"

Mr Xuimin poses the question and scans the class. It's like a tumbleweed has just passed.

"Can anyone be a leader?" A boy asks.

The class groans and erupts with noise.

"Oh yeah," Seolhyun turns around "Hey girls," she says to Sowon and Choa who are still in shock.

I look to Seolhyun on my right and she laughs.

"What's with the face?"

"Maths drains all my force. Especially this sum," I squeak.

Seolhyun nods agreeing. "That's what I used to say till my mother replaced my phone with a calculator." I gasp.

"She said and I quote, 'I challenge you to love this calculator as much as you love your precious phone.' I was so upset but I got over it and decided to focus."

"That's torture," I frown. "Did it work?"

"It did. I love my phone more than life," she points at her calculator. "But now at least I love maths."

"I hate maths." Jungkook pipes in, we turn to him. He shakes his head slowly. "Do we really need maths to get into a university?" He asks.

"Obviously Kook. Without maths you're nothing." She says and packs the rest of her stationary in her designer backpack.

Jungkook looks defeated and sighs.

"Hey Kookie," I call out still using Kookie. "It doesn't mean it's the end of the world. You can still try other things that don't require maths like singing or dancing-"

"I love to dance," I smile at his enthusiasm.

"That's good," I encourage proudly. "Then you could work on that and hopefully come up with a plan to study abroad,"

"Would you like to see me dance one day?" He asks.

"Come on Yoona let's go eat." Seolhyun says. "Kook are you coming?"
