The Convention

Okay, so I made up the convention, just throwing it out there if it wasn't obvious...I'll just go now...

~Dan

"Pack your bags Danny," Phil rushed into the room excitedly, jumping onto the couch where I was browsing the Internet. "What?" I smiled, fondly remembering the last time he said those words as I closed my laptop and moved it out of harm's way. "We're going to America!" He announced, bouncing up and down on the balls of his feet covered in his signature trend of mismatched socks, one Halloween themed and the other Christmas. "Calm down a little Phil." I rolled my eyes, still smiling. "Why are we going back now anyway? I thought the tour there was done." I asked as Phil finally settled down slightly, flopping down to sit on the couch by me. "We were invited to this convention thing for YouTubers around the world to just hang out." He explained. "You wanna go?" He added in a pleading tone, flashing me his best puppy dog eyes. I sighed, unable to resist his angelic ice blue eyes. "Fine." I conceded. "Yay!" Phil kissed my cheek before racing off to our room to pack. "When is it?" I yelled from the couch, reaching for my laptop. "Tomorrow." Phil called back faintly. Eyes widening, I frantically burst into the room and began quickly packing as well. "We still have time." Phil assured me, gently grabbing onto my arm as I tossed a pile of possibly clean clothes in my suitcase. "I don't want a repeat of the time where I tried packing quickly in the morning and ended up blinding myself with spray on deodorant." I stated hurriedly, turning around to grab more stuff to shove in. Phil whirled me around to face him, pressing his soft warm lips on mine. I instantly relaxed, melting into his embrace as my eyes instinctively closed in content. "Better?" Phil whispered in my ear after a few seconds as I rested my chin on his shoulder. I slowly nodded, clinging onto him for a couple more moments before reluctantly retracting from his embrace. I then removed the bundles of clothes I had already packed, folding them neatly before placing them back in. After about an hour, three kisses, and an existential crisis, my suitcase was bulging full as I finished zipping it, propping it by the door with Phil's. "You want dinner?" I asked, glancing at the time on his phone that I retrieved out of my pocket. We were both curled up on the couch. "It's a little past six." He paused before answering. "Yeah, but can we order pizza? I'm lazy." He rolled over and rested his head in my lap, his legs dangling over the side of the couch. I smoothed back his jet black hair, kissing his forehead. "Sure." Once we ordered pizza, a comfortable silence filled the room as Phil returned to his original cuddling position, the side of his head leaning against my shoulder, rewrapping the blanket around the both of us. Before long, Phil was quietly snoring as his mouth drooped open slightly. Unable to resist, I took a picture of him with my phone before grabbing my lap top and searching YouTube to see how my friends were doing. I paused at Mark's video, my curiosity winning over as I clicked play. Before I did, I made sure the volume was turned down really low since I knew Jack's tendency of shouting. He wasn't playing a video game like normal, instead it looked more like a vlog with Jack, his boyfriend. The two have been dating for as long as I could remember, nearly as long as I've been dating Phil. I glanced over at the still sleeping Phil as the video started. "Hey guys, so as you might've guessed, Jack and I are going to the convention coming up in Seattle-" "Wow, thanks for letting me say hi to the fans too." Jack interrupted sarcastically. Mark had his arm around Jack, who was smirking at the camera. "By all means, go ahead." Mark bowed dramatically, waving his free hand for him to go on. "Hi!" Jack waved to the camera before falling silent again. There was a pause before Mark continued. "Great!" He exclaimed, equally sarcastic. Jack giggled in response. "But yeah, we'll be having our very own panel for the first time, as well as one with Revelmode possibly, so if you wanna come, it's tomorrow at the same place Pax East was last year." Mark informed the camera, turning a little serious. "Yeah." Jack flashed a thumbs up. "But anyway, I hope to see you guys there-" "And if you liked it, punch that like button in the face, like a boss! And, high fives all around." Jack leaned in close to the microphone before making the high five sound affect. "But thank you guys-" "And as always we will see you-" "And I will see all of you dudes-" Both split off momentarily to say their intro before saying the last part in unison. "-in the next video!" Mark pointed at the camera as he said you, Jack saying the outro in unison, Jack's voice going up several octaves at the end. "Bub-bye!" Mark waved as he shut off the camera. "I hope we could see them there." Phil yawned sleepily. "Sorry for waking you up." I apologized as Phil snuggled in close to me. "I don't mind, it was worth it." Phil replied. "They bicker like an old married couple." I remarked. "Yeah, but have you noticed how little they do videos together?" Phil observed. When I scrolled back through their videos, I realized he was right. This was the first video they've done together for months. "It does seem weird." I admitted as I closed my laptop again. "Do you think they're alright?" Phil asked, concern laced in his tone. "I'm sure they're fine." I said, despite the feeling of doubt that crept into my mind.
