Septiplier Kerplunk

~Dan

"Wake up!" Phil bounced up and down on my hotel bed excitedly like a puppy. "Phil." I groaned, cracking my eyes open slightly, instantly regretting the decision. Bright light flooded my eyes before I buried my head under the covers. "Daaaann!" Phil whined as he yanked the covers off. The air felt cold compared to the warmth from the covers that I wanted to crawl back under. "I'm up, I'm up." I wearily rubbed my eyes. "Why are you dressed? It's like-" I paused to check the time on my phone on my bedside table. "Eight in the morning." "We're supposed to be meeting the others for breakfast at eight thirty!" Phil reminded me. "C'mon princess." Phil grunted as he lifted me up in his arms bridal style and sat me down on my feet. "I'll go get ready." I yawned, disappearing into the bathroom. After a quick shower, I perked up a little, although I still needed coffee if I was expected to be social. "Let's go." Phil took my hand as we walked out the door and down to the breakfast area by the lobby. I spotted Mark, Jack, Ken, Felix, and Cry sitting at a black rectangular table in the corner by the digital fireplace, talking and laughing while eating waffles drenched in syrup. "Hey guys!" Phil greeted them while I awkwardly waved. Mark and Felix dragged another table beside next to theirs, inviting us over. "Could you get me a waffle?" Phil whispered as we neared the table. "Fine." I rolled my eyes as we split up. Phil went for the tables while I grabbed waffles and eggs for Phil and I, as well as a coffee for me and apple juice for Phil. "It's been awhile since I saw you guys, how's everything going?" Mark asked as I sat down, handing Phil his food while I took a sip of steaming coffee. "Pretty well, not a whole lot happening really." I shrugged, setting down my cup. "Yeah same with me." Ken interjected. I noted that Jack was being abnormally silent, wringing his hands in front of his plate of untouched food. "You okay Jack?" I asked. His gaze looked like a deer in headlights. "Y-yeah, just not feeling hungry." He mumbled, sticking his hands in his infamous blue hoodie pocket. I decided to let the subject drop when he looked at me, pleading in his eyes. "Wait, we didn't tell them did we?" Cry nudged Felix. "Oh yeah!" He showed us his hand. On his finger was a golden wedding band. "Dude congrats!" Jack congratulated them sincerely. "We figured we would tell you guys in person." Felix blushed, eating another mouthful of food. We continued chatting for a while until we had to drive up to the place where our panels were being held. Jack and Mark's panel was first, aptly named "Septiplier Away". Cry, Felix, Phil, Ken and I decided to watch, barely able to squeeze into the back unnoticed before it started. "Top o' the morning to ye laddies!" Mark kicked off the panel in a terrible high pitched Irish accent, beaming out at the crowd of screaming fans. "Hello everybody." Jack's voice dropped down a couple octaves, mimicking Mark's voice and laugh. "I don't sound like that!" Mark pretended to pout. Even from the back, I could see Jack's eyes roll dramatically. "Anyway, welcome to our first panel together!" The cheering grew louder before Mark quieted them down. "So, since we don't know what to do, we're gonna...." Jack trailed off, unable to think of anything. "Build a snowman?" Mark supplied. "You know what? Sure, let's do that." Jack darted offstage, reappearing with boxes of crumpled up paper and duct tape. "Good thing I know you so well." Jack winked, carrying out more boxes until six of them were peppered on the stage. "Who can build the fastest snowman?" He challenged. "Well obviously me." Mark scoffed, flicking a crumpled paper ball at Jack. "Hey!" Jack swatted it away. "Ready?" Mark grinned. "I have my handy dandy phone here, I'm gonna use it as a timer." He placed it face up on the stage by his feet. "Go!" Mark pressed start on the timer, starting to get to work. Jack quickly followed, already catching up. Fans cheered them on, watching in tense anticipation as Jack already finished the base, building the middle part. Mark's snowman was bigger and slightly neater looking, making him slower. "Hey Jack!" Mark shouted to get his attention. Instinctively he turned to face him. "Boxes!" Mark slammed a box over Jack's head, startling him as he duct taped it to his arms. "Damn it Mark!" Jack cursed, struggling to find the strips and tear them off. Mark laughed as he finished the middle, halfway done with the head. "No!" Jack cried as he tore the box off, tossing it at Mark. He easily dodged it, giving the snowman duct tape eyes and nose, and buttons before pressing stop on the timer. "Yes! Six minutes even!" Mark cheered victoriously. "Cheater." Jack stuck his tongue out at him. "I'm replacing you with the snowman." Mark joked, dancing around with his snowman he made. It's head fell off and rolled by Jack, who was smiling in amusement. "Have fun with that." Jack laughed. "I'll just take my snowman and go then!" Jack pretended to be angry as he tried to lift the snowman up, ending up knocking the middle off of the base. "See, much better than you." Jack teased. "Oh yeah, definitely." Mark agreed sarcastically. They cleaned up the mess, bringing out a table and seven chairs. "Why do they have six chairs?" I whispered to Phil. He only shrugged in response. "And now we're gonna call some friends up here to join us for some cards against humanity!" Mark announced. "Felix, Cry, Dan, Phil, Ken, come on down!" Jack beckoned. Confused we all stood up and got onstage, handed mics by one of the people backstage before sitting down at the table. "We know we're not funny, so lets see if you guys are!" Mark teased. "Oh it's not even a challenge!" Felix countered. "Well you're about to be sorely disappointed then." I laughed. "You're funny to me." Phil smiled. The crowd awed, shouting "Phan" over and over again. "Funny looking that is." Phil added. "Couple fight!" Mark shouted. I laughed again as the game started, starting to get comfortable. The game seemed to last for hours until Jack called it to an end since the panel was almost over.

"Mark-"
"Jack-"

The two stopped, blushing madly. "You first." Jack urged, sticking his hands in his pocket. Mark took a deep shaky breath before continuing. "We've been dating for years, and I loved everyday of it. When I didn't know where you were yesterday, I realized that I don't want to live without you. So with that being said," Mark knelt down on one knee, pulling a dark blue velvet box out of his pocket, opening it up to reveal a golden wedding band with a single green gen swirled with light blue. "Will you marry me?" Everything went silent, my breathing feeling too loud as everyone waited in anticipation for Jack's answer. He seemed to be struggling to find the right words to say before he gave his answer.

"No."
