Luna's P.O.V.

Before I get into this story you have to know one thing. That is Summer and I are like sisters. But there is only one event that made us more than friends. No it's not that we have known each other since we were in our moms tummies. Or that we were born on the same day and exactly at the same time.

It is that I had cancer. No it's wasn't the really bad cancer. But it did take a big impact in not just my life but in every one around me. At the age of 5 I was diagnosed with cancer. I was in and out of the hospital till I was 13. I was homeschooled so the only friend I had was Summer. One day in the middle of the night I woke up with a sharp pain running down my back. Summer was their because she stayed the night. She got up so fast and ran to my parents room. They took me to the ER at that point I was coughing up blood. I stayed at the hospital for a week. Summer would only leave to go to school then she would come back after and not leave. The doctors did test after test to figure out what had happened.

One day the doctor came into my room and told us that the cancer had disappeared. There were no signs of it anywhere and that is when I realized that that was Gods way of giving me a second chance at life. I had realized that Summer was more than my best friend.

After a month of staying at home just so everyone can make sure it wouldn't come back my parents told me I could go to school. I was so happy. The next week I went to my first ever day of public school with Summer by my side. Surprisingly Summer and I had every single class together. And ever since then we have been more that inseparable.
