No POV:

Zero and One are traveling to Fristad Rock and are looking for Charlie and Fia's secret hiding spot.

Zero: I'm surprised how different everything looks in the afternoon.

One: Wasn't like this when I came here hunting for Frank.

Zero: How'd that go?

One: Alright. I found him in his office.

Zero: He has an office?

One: Sort of. He spends all his time in his radio booth spinning his old hits while talking about his salad days.

Zero feels sorry for what One had to experience during her time on Fristad Rock. The two of them go around a corner and see Eternalist gathering by a few fires. Zero uses his Nexus Slab and binds the Eternalists together. He shoots his LIMP-10 at their heads and kills them all.

One: You're getting better at this.

Zero: The Slabs or the killing?

One: Both.

Zero: I feel like all of us had a history of constant killing.

One: With style.

Zero: I'm not sure style includes brutally ripping people open.

One: We all have our preferences.

Zero and One find a shore and walk on it until they find a door. They walk up a few steps and see that it's the same door in the picture of Charlie and Fia.

Zero: This must be it.

The two of them walk through the door and find a hole in the hallway wall. They see a strange device with tapes in it and several screens placed around the room. One looks at the notebook placed on the device and discovers that Fia has a safe in Karl's Bay that seems to have a clue to unlocking the door.

Zero: So, Fia has a safe in Karl's Bay and we now know the password due to her writing it in this notebook.

One: Thank you everyone for writing your passwords down one way or another. So, you want to head to Karl's Bay when night comes, or want to head to Alexis' party. I am interested in checking out the drinks and music there.

Zero: Yeah, I think I'm interested in seeing what Alexis has to offer us. Shall I escort you to Blackreef's biggest party, One?

One: Delighted.

One holds out her hand and Zero grabs it. The two of them leave the facility and enter the tunnels leading out of Fristad Rock. They decide to run through the tunnels and make their way to Updaam.

Zero: I'm still surprised at how much the Eternalist wreck the place during nightfall.

One: We might be the only ones who remember the loops but everyone on this island is AWARE of it. And since it resets everyone's lives and memories, they can do whatever they want without consequence. And it helps us know what's going to happen.

Zero: Well, I want to see what's outside the Loop. So I'm not a huge fan of this thing.

One: I do want to go someplace where it's not freezing cold during the afternoon. I will miss the luxury bed I wake up in everyday. But I agree with you about leaving the loop. This thing will inevitable get boring for us, which is probably why we decided to help Colt in the first place.

Zero: Probably. But let's check if he's in his flat.

One: I hope he thought of killing the ones who trashed his place and cleaned it.

Zero and One go to Colt's apartment and see that he isn't there. One finds a note on the fridge that reads "At the party. Meet you both there"

One: He didn't even invite us. Rude.

Zero: Then let's get there before he hogs all the drinks.

Zero and One leave the apartment and head to Alexis Dorsey's Mansion. Zero sues his Shift Slab to get them onto the roof and they see that all the guest are wearing a wolf mask.

Zero: Of course. What else did we expect from an event called "The Devouring of the Lambs Party".

One: I'm guessing whatever games they have here, the loser gets eaten.

One gets hit by a pebble and looks at where it came from. She sees Colt in the window he waves at them to enter. Zero and One enter and talk with Colt.

Colt: Everyone wears the same mask. Not going to be easy finding Alexis in this place.

One: Let's just kill them all.

Colt: I'm starting to think that's the only way we are going to get that fucker.

Zero look around and sees an audio device near the toilet with different lit up numbers.

Colt: Need to use the toilet? Well leave.

One: Don't take too long.

One and Colt go through different doors and Zero leaves through the one the latter took. He sees that there's a dance going on. Eternalist are talking about Alexis' preference in music. Colt and One leave the room and see Zero standing by the railings.

Colt: Zero, we need your help to gun down these bastards if we're going to find Alexis.

One: What are you waiting for?

The look down and see the Eternalist on the dance floor.

Eternalist: They say he writes a new album everytime he's taking a dump.

One: TMI dude.

Zero knows what he's talking about and shoots the Eternalist on the floor slightly below him. He then goes to a booth that has the same audio device he found in the bathroom and matches the numbers. Colt and One enter the booth quietly.

Colt: Zero, this isn't the time to be making your own music.

One: Why did you punch in those specific numbers.

A man in a wolf mask with two LIMPs enters the room.

???: Everyone shut up! This is my jam!

The wolf starts dancing and everyone starts cheering and imitating a wolf howl.

Eternalist: You go Alexis!

Colt: So that's what you were looking at in the bathroom. Huh. They weren't kidding.

One: Let me take him out.

Zero: Wait a second.

Zero fires his Nexus Slab at the partygoers and gestures "Go" to One. On leaps off and impails her claws through Alexis' neck, killing him and those affected by the Nexus. One takes Alexis Karnesis Slab. She then takes a look at his LIMPs and picks them up.

One: Oooohhh. I can feel these things craving for blood.

Zero: Maybe they also have an ability that can heal you.

One: Then I found my guns.

One holsters them and leaves the Mansion with Zero and Colt.

Zero: So, you guys find anything about Alexis?

Colt: Apparently, Igor sent a demanding email about being invited. But I didn't see him here.

One: Wonder why he wouldn't go to the party that he wanted to go to so much that he begged the guy that paid for everything? I guess we won't know unless we head to Igor's labs.

Colt: That'll have to have tomorrow or another day. It's going to be midnight pretty soon. I actually envy you guys waking up in nice beds.

Zero: You apparently decided to get drunk on the beach before the loop began.

Colt: (Sigh) Yeah, yeah. I know.

One: I know this is off topic but, I guess Frank is busy with his own festivities that he'll be too busy to attend this party.

Zero: Hmm. I saw something in Karl's bay when I went to kill Harriet. Looked like a shed next to the hangars.

Colt: Did it have a note on it?

Zero: Yes.

Colt: I read that note. Something about Charlie's fireworks on it.

Zero: So, we have to visit Charlie's place and look around.

One: (Groans) I was there this morning.

Zero: You don't need to go again One. I can go by myself if that'll save you trouble.

One: I'm coming with you. I can show you a secret route to enter Frank's studio without using that damn Class Pass machine.

Zero: Class Pass?

Colt: It nullifies any Slabs that you have on you.

Zero: Got it.

Colt: Well, I'm heading to my tunnels. I'd do the same if I were you.

Colt leaves as Zero and One decide to stick around for a little longer. The enjoy the fire work show. One gets a familiar feeling around Zero and blushes at the sight of him. Zero is going through the same thing and feels different when he's around one. It's still cold as hell in Blackreef, but they feel warm when they are next to each other.

Zero: I wonder who we were before we got stuck in this Loop.

One: What do you mean?

Zero: I would juse like some context to our past. The way we kill seems to imply that we've been doing this for a while. Colt and Blackburn feel familiar too. Like we met them before ther final stages of the Aeon Program.

One: I'm sure if we keep killing and searching our way across this island and that grand city, we'll find out sooner or later. We got all the time in the world.

The speakers activate and Julianna's voice talks out of it.

Julianna: Aw, how sweet. Our enforcers are getting lovey dovey with each other. Except it's fucking awful! How the hell can you do this when you have an Island and a city gunning for you both?!

Zero: Julianna, are you here to kill us or just bark out whatever comes to mind.

One: If come over here and bark for us, I'll happily give you a bone.

Julianna: Oh that's it bitch! I'm going to murder you and that freaking edge lord!

Zero: You talking about yourself?

Zero dodges a sniper shot and looks to see Julianna. He fires his LIMP at her and causes her to take cover. One runs across the rooftops and reaches Julianna. She attempts to slice with her claws but Julianna pulls out a machete and blocks it. She then psuhes one pack and fires a Fourpounder at her.

Julianna: You may two may have gotten the jump on me after I killed Colt, but I ain't letting it happen again.

One: Actually, we both got the jump on you after you killed Colt on the loop we first became aware of. Then I saw you sneaking up on him and snapped your neck like a toothpick. And then Zero and I killed you together a second time.

Zero appears and cuts Julianna's arms off. One shoots her with the LIMPs she took off Alexis before Zero impales Julianna's neck with one of his swords. He then pushes Julianna and flings the blood off his sword.

One: I guess we were trained to kill no matter how dirty we had to play.

Zero: Well, we do what we need to survive.

One: You're probably right. Look at you acting mature and logical. I wonder how good we were together before our memories got wiped.

One tries to draw her finger on Zero's cheek but quickly realized she was cutting it and pulled back.

One: I'm sorry! I forgot to take off my gauntlets. I got too caught ip in the moment. What the...

Zero touches his cheek but feel like he was irritating his cut. He couldn't feel the cut any more.

Zero: What the?

One: The cut disappeared. Like it was never there.

Zero wonders if one has the same thing and holds out one of his swords.

Zero: One, if you would allow me.

One takes off her gauntlet and holds out her hand. Zero leans his blade closer to her palm and makes a small cut. After a few seconds, the cut heals instantly and no traces are left on One's hand.

One: I guess we heal faster than most.

Zero: The Loop resets everything that happens during the day to the point when it didn't happen yet. I wonder if our healing mainly applied to outside the loop.

One: So many questions. I wonder if we can answer them all.

Zero: Maybe, but we should head back to the tunnels before Blackburn comes and kills us. I have a bad feeling he let me win the last time we fought.

One: Good idea. Let's go to safety for the rest of the loop.

Zero and One hold hands as they run through Updaam and enter the tunnels. They head to Colt's hideout and knock on the door. Colt opens the door and pulls a gun to them, but quickly realizes who they are.

Colt: Oh, it's you guys. Sorry, never can be too careful on this island.

Zero: Colt, can me and One spend some time on the beach?

Colt: It's cold as fuck and the water is partially ice. But if you guys want to, go ahead.

One: Thanks, Colt.

Zero and One exit Colt's hideout and go to the beach that is has piles of show and several floating pieces of ice in the water. Zero and One run around the beach trying to chase each other. They catch each other and look deeply into their eyes. Suddenly, an image of a white haired boy and a blonde girl in the same position appears in their minds.

Zero and One are surprised by the memory. They look at each other and wonder who the couple was.

One: Woah. Who were they?

Zero: I don't know. People we knew? But that kid looked a lot like me.

One: Can't be. You look way more badass. Although now that you say it, that girl feels very familiar.

Zero: She can't be you. She looks way too serious.

One: Did we know them?

Zero: Maybe. But as long as we're in this loop, we won't be finding out anything.

One: When you're right, you're right.

The two of them sit down and watch the horizon in the night. They smile as the clock hits midnight and everything resets to the morning. Zero wakes up in his bed and enters his secret room, ready to continue his goal to break the loop.
