Zero POV:

I was at the Complex with Oneduring Noon and decided to pass the time by killing Eternalists. We hear an explosion that shakes the entire area and decide to check it out. After a quick vote with One, we murder every Eternalist guarding the place. I see a door open and a small entrance and decide to check it out. There was a room connected that had two guns inside a container with a battery-powered lock.

One: It's battery this, battery that, and everything else needs a freaking battery on this island. Why can't they be like Orario and have hand scanners?

Zero: Probably because this area was made long before Akira and her company came and did mass renovations to Orario. And she probably focused only on the city.

One: That's true. You win. So, let's go get batteries so you can have these pistols.

Zero: Don't you want one? There are two of them.

One: I'm okay with my claws and Vampiric LIMPs. Besides, you're my love and I want you to be ready for anything.

Zero: Okay.

Me and One gather multiple batteries through the complex and power the lock. The container opens and I grab the pistols.

Eternalist: What the fuck happened here!?

One: Looks like we've got company.

Zero: Then let's not keep them waiting.

I go to the Eternalists and start firing the pistols, finding out they each have a burst fire mode. The Eternalists fall and disappear to be revived the next day. I soon see pistols have holes that match the size and length of the barrels. I insert one pistol into the other and they come together. More Eternalists arrive and I shoot them. The pistols have turned into an SMG that has a slightly longer burst fire than when they are separate. The Eternalist dropped and I put away the pistols.

Zero: Okay, Once I infuse Residuum into these, they'll be mine for the rest of the loop.

One: Should we leave?

Zero: Why not?

The two of us leave the complex and head for Colt's Hideout. Colt then returns as One decides to head for Fristad Rock. I tell Colt what I and One found the other day and we agree to head for the Complex. We go through the guards at Egor's lab and make our way to Wenjie's.

Colt: So, Fia's notebook had a code to a room in Wenjie's lab. It said there was something that she was interested in.

Colt: Well, hopefully, it's something so sciencey that it she can't resist it. And yes, I know there is a different way to phrase it, but nothing comes to mind at the moment so get off my back.

Zero: I wasn't going to say anything other than "Let's kill Wenjie and get her Residuum".

Colt: Sorry, had to deal with Julianna constantly. She prefers to stay in this loop than get out of it.

Zero: Well, this loop isn't doing anyone favors, so we're breaking this for everyone to move on, whether they like it or not.

Colt: Amen, brother.

We get into the lab and kill the four Wenjie Variants that are in the room. I go down because I remember a door with a keypad and wonder if the code in Fia's journal is what unlocks the room. I punch in the numbers on the keypad and the doors unlock.

Colt: Hell yeah! now let's see what we can find in this place that is Wenjie's bedroom.

I look around and find a tape about Wenjie talking with her variants about how at night the singularity breach will be closed and there will only be one of her when if she plans to leave the facility. But one of the Wenjies says that if the technology behind a door can stabilize the breach, she should go.

Colt: Leaving only one. Yeah. Now we're getting somewhere.

Colt goes to Wenjie's terminal and sees Wenjie's group chat about Alexis' wanting to use 2-BIT to make a better invitation, but Charlie refuses.

Zero: Alexis wants to use 2-BIT.

Colt: 2-BIT? The one in charge of Charlie's game?

Zero: I haven't come across any others on this island.

Colt then goes to Wenjie's boards and looks at her research on Operation Horizon. They have a facility in Updaam that can't be broken into and is sealed by an audio lock. She wants to know what's in it.

Colt: Operation Horizon, huh? Looks like we just found our lure. So. Wenjie wants a door. Alexis wants a Wenjie. And I want to party with them both. Violently. And 2-BIT... wants to help us. Put 'em all together?  Boom. Murder Casserole. 

I sense something and know it's Julianna. Is this how Blackburn can know where me and I are? Maybe. Either way, we ain't letting this lady get in our way. Me and Colt exit the room and fight Julianna. She uses her Havoc slab to increase her power and durability, but me and Colt have more slabs than her I use Shift to get behind her and slice off her right arm. Colt then shoots her several times before I stab her in the stomach and bisect her.

Colt: Whatever you were put through before all this must've been bad.

Zero: I have a feeling that's a massive understatement.

Colt absorbs her Residuum before we kill the rest of the Wenjies so I can take the "Prime" one's Residuum. We then leave and head back to Colt's hideout and find One waiting for us.

Colt: So, how are the love birds?

One: They currently sleep with the fishes.

Zero: So you flooded the facility?

One: Blame the guys that added that function in the place.

Colt: So, we have a way to get Wenjie to Alexis' party, but we need to visit 2-BIT.

One: What's a 2-BIT?

Zero: He's a machine that Charlie made using half of his brain. Apparently, 2-BIT is capable of making a better invitation than Alexis.

One: I like him already. 2-BIT, not Alexis. We've established that I'm not a fan of that guy.

Colt: We all don't like that guy.

Zero: So, since we're already at the complex, did you find anything about why Egor didn't go to Alexis' party?

Colt: Yeah. Apparently, Egor spent all day working on some experiment about getting a signal from the future. And I found out how to screw the thing up. No experiment, no reason to not go to Alexis' party.

Zero: Then let's show Egor where the fun is at.

The three of us go to Egor's lab and mess with his equipment. No more experiment and now he just has to drown his sorrows at Alexis' party. Now we just have to figure out Frank and 2-BIT, then we can can gather everyone and break this damn loop. Well, we have until midnight to figure it out.

Alexis' party now has Egor who still does not have the respect he expected from the Eternalists. Then again, I bet everyone else did most of the work while he just claimed to have an idea and expected most to figure it out. Then again, what do I know? The party goes exactly as the previous days, except Alexis' mix seems to have changed. Might be related to something I read in Wenjie's notes. 

Either way, it was business as usual. We kill the Visionaries, deal with Blackburn and Julianna if we have to, and get the hell out. This time, One decides to drop Alexis in the literal grinder he uses for guests who don't tell good stories. Meanwhile, me and colt bring out or silenced LIMP-10s and shoot Egor dead along with the Eternalists.

We all grab a few drinks and then leave the manor to talk at Colt's flat. I sense something heading toward us and pull Colt out of the way. A bullet hits where Colt is and we look to see Julianna and Blackburn on the roof of one of the buildings.

Julianna: I didn't come alone this time.

Blackburn: I figured it was time for me to enjoy a fight.

Julianna: You ain't getting out of this one. It's going to be another score for me.

Blackburn: Don't get arrogant Julianna.

Julianna: Shut up!

Colt: You should listen to Gramps. He seems to have a lot more experience than you.

Julianna fires and we get out of the way.

Colt: You two take care of Blackbird, I'll take care of Julianna!

One and I start firing at Blackburn who dodges them quite easily. I don't think he's doing this because of the Slabs. His speed was inhuman. I had a strong feeling he let me win during our third encounter. I better not hold anything back, otherwise, We'll have no chance of surviving this.

Zero: One! Don't hold anything back, but be careful! He is dangerous as hell!

One: Yeah, I figured!

I pull out the Strelak pistols and fire at Blackburn. He manages to avoid most of the shots and just a few manage to put a few tears in his clothes. One then charges in with her havoc and attacks him with her gauntlets. However, even when they pierce his flesh, Blackburn shrugs it off like they were nothing.

Blackburn: I could have taught you both how to remember using the loop memory technique that Julianna discovered, but I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to see how you both adapt to dire circumstances. To see if what I taught had truly stuck with you two.

I fire at Blackburn as he fires his pistols at me as we run across the rooftops. Our bullets either miss their targets or hit each other. We jump off the rooftops and go through the library's metal shutters. I don't know how, but I managed to bust right through that. Still hurt like hell though. Of course, that doesn't stop Blackburn from charging at me. He grabs me by the neck and punches me in the stomach.

Blackburn: Like I taught you before the loop. It's kill or be killed in this world. And- -

Luckily, One arrives and knocks Blackburn out of the way. I charge at him to protect One and run my swords through his chest, impaling him into the wall.

Blackburn: ...You can never run from the world of blood. Not after seeing what the alternative is. Not after how the world twisted you both.

One slashes his throat and Blackburn dies again. Disappearing and leaving nothing but Residuum.

One: Can we share it?

Zero: I don't see why not.

The two of us hold out our hands and absorb Blackburn's Residuum. What did he mean by this world twisted us both? I guess our past is far more messed up than we thought. Or it did after a certain point. It won't stop me from knowing the truth. That's my choice.

Zero: We better check on Colt. And kill Julianna if she's still kickin'.

One: Good idea.

The two of us leave and see that Colt has finished Julianna and absorbed her Residuum

One: Hi, Colt!

Zero: Sorry we left you to fight Julianna on your own.

Colt: No worries. I fought this crazy ass bitch so many times, the fighting has become a muscle memory thing.

Colt looks at us and sees the bruises on us.

Colt: Holy shit! Blackbird did that to the both of ya?

Zero: Yeah, we didn't underestimate him. But he gave a really good example of why we should never hold back.

One: He is also a lot tougher than he looks.

Colt: I bet. Well, let's head back into the tunnels. Better to be safe there than out here.

The three of us go back to the tunnels and to Colt's hideout. I draw on a piece of paper to signal what I plan to do the next loop and One decides to go with me. The loop resets and it's back to killing Visionaries and gathering more information. The first thing I do is go to Updaam to see why that Fireworks Boutique was burned down at noon. It's still standing during the morning, how did it go up in flames.

I enter the shop and see a machine is running at max output due to it being connected to several power cables.

Zero: No wonder this place is going to burned down. With all the energy it's using, it's going to set itself ablaze. Better give this thing a break. Otto's gonna owe me one for making his situation leagues better.

The fuse box next to the machine won't turn off as long as the machine is on. Lacking the knowledge to shut it down, I slash the box and cut the power.

Zero: Still some more fuse boxes left.

Lucky for me, the other fuse boxes aren't far from the shop. Killing the Eternalists and wrecking the other fuse boxes were easy and I managed to force the machine to take it easy. No way it's gonna catch fire this time. I decide to go back to the tunnels and sit down until Colt comes the same way. I decide to pass the time by seeing what my mask can do.

Zero: Message, Music, Weather... Games?

I select a game and apparently it's about you trying to line up same colored blocks to make more space on the screen, and if it gets filled, game over. Since there wasn't anything better to do while waiting.

So, a few hours have passed and I am still waiting for Colt and One. On the bright side, I have a good high score on this Brick Block game. My sensors go off and detect something heading for me. I bring out my pistols and aim down the tunnels to find out that it was just Colt.

Zero: Colt?

Colt: Hey Zero. I decided to kill Harriet and get an upgrade from her slab.

Zero: Oh, What'd you get?

Colt: This one slows the rate of energy it ends up consuming.

Zero: I got one that spreads it to others in close contact. But that means faster consumption.

Colt: Yikes. Maybe steal Harriet's Slab a few more times until you get what I got.

Zero: Good idea. Well, Let's go talk to 2-BIT.

Colt and I make our way through Updaam and head to Charlie's game mansion. We take care of some of the Eternalist on the floor where 2-BIT is and load batteries into the rocket. Colt opens the doors and we talk to 2-BIT.

Colt: 2-BIT. So, we found out you can edit audio. Is that true?

2-BIT: The captain is correct. 2-BIT also broadcasts to whole Blackreef through [public adress] horns. Though Orario is not connected to [public adress] horns.

Zero: We know.

2-BIT: Master Charlie also equip 2-BIT with state-of-art audio edit suite.

Colt: Great. So, we're gonna need you to access your main mainframe brain and make us a recording of Alexis cuz - -

2-BIT: 2-BIT makes new tapes from old tape sounds.

Zero: That makes sense. The tape recordings Charlie had looked like they were taken form something else and spliced together.

Colt: So, we need to find a recording of Alexis?

One: No need to.

We turn and see one holding a bobblehead of Alexis in her hand.

Colt: One. Where the fuck did you get that thing?

One: In the library. I found Alexis' terminal saying her had something for Julianna. It took everything I had not to smash this thing even though it was annoying the hell out of me.

Zero: If it's a recording of Alexis, put it on 2-BIT so we can give Wenjie a more convincing Alexis.

One: Sure thing, dear.

One puts the bobblehead on 2-BIT

One: Here's your recording 2-BIT. It better be worth it.

Colt: That's my line.

2-BIT: Master Charlie says 2-BIT is as useful as fur on chessboard!

One: So how do we get this chatterbox to invite Wenjie to the real one's party?

Zero: 2-BIT, say he can get Wenjie into the door in Updaam.

2-BIT: Goodest idea, [Rabbit Foot]!

Colt: What did just you call him?

I was surprised by the name. I didn't think it was offensive, I thought it felt familiar. I do have a feeling that I was known for being quick on my feet. I wonder what it was. Was it after I was taken under Blackburn's wing? Or before that?

2-BIT: Recording have spliced tight. Please be listen:

Alexis recording: Wenjie... Look - -! I'll even sweeten the deal: That sealed door? You want to open it. Right? I'll tell you how! Come to my party. Give a testamony. I'll tell you ALL my secrets.

Colt: Hook, meet bait. Alright 2-BIT, listen to me. When Alexis tries to get on the loudpeaker this afternoon, you can just cut in and play this recording instead. Only play mine. You got it?

2-BIT: I execute command on all Loop, unless further instructed!

One: Thank you, 2-BIT.

2-BIT: Youre greatly welcome, [Sword Princess]!

One then gets a look of surprise that I have from hearing a name.

Colt: I gotta ask: if you remember every thing, every day... Have we ever edited this Audio before?

2-BIT: Chances are [bool]... success!

Colt: Then why the fuck- -

2-BIT: Each loop, Master Charlie mean plus plus. 2-BIT remembers I dumped 80% of myself.

Zero: Seriously?

Colt: You're actually deleting some of your memory? Because of Charlie?!

2-BIT: Is not all. Master Charlie is my master. I am nothing... Master Charlie say [The Captain] and [Enforcers] are [fatal error]! 

Colt: Man, waht are you doing?

2-BIT: Is not man. Is 2-BIT.

One: Why are you taking orders from that sack of garbage that literally has only half a brain? You are clearly way smarter than he is!

2-BIT: Master Charlie is [the most brilliant auteur of this century!] end of line.

Colt: He's also a bully. You got to stand up for yourself. Be tall. Pop him in the mouth, you know.

One: Oh, so you are interested in - -

Colt: Not like that!

2-BIT: [The Captain] refrences [ambulatory functionality] but 2-BIT does not have legs?

Zero: You don't need to be able to run in order to be strong. You are loyal.

Colt: Exaclty. That's the strongest quality a... sentient being can have.

2-BIT: [The Captain] defines 2-BIT as [user]?

One: Absolutely! Keep that in your memory and don't dump it. No matter what he says.

2-BIT is clearly happy that there are people that accept him as a living being

Colt: When all this is done... We'll see if we can make you more mobile. Hook you up to one of those snow trucks or something.

2-BIT: [The Captain] and [Enforcers] are now... [qualified gun men] to 2-BIT. Stored to memory. Never forgotten. Thank you!

2-BIT then gives the three of us access to issue any commands from now on. Of course, we tell him to activate the rocket to incinerate Charlie and the Eternalists in the building. Thankfullt the Slabs are apparently resistant to high amounts of heat. Since I want to show Colt what me and One found in Karl's Bay in the afternoon, there was no way we could kill Charlie and Fiona in this loop.

Before we leave, we go to the firework shop and look at Otto's terminal to see that Frank has sent him the password for his firework stash. One tells me that jamming the rain flaps will cause the fireworks to explode with Frank in them. We then leave Updaam and head to Karl's bay.

We take Colt to the apartment where we found the strange note. One keeps him in the corner away from the door as I open it and avoid the lasers again. I use Shift to get behind and pull the battery out of it. Colt and One enter the room and I punch in the code for the keypad. I open it and see a woman that is clearly ecstatic to see us. 

Pick: What?!? YES. YESSSSS! Yes! C'mon! Yes!

Colt: You're not gonna - -

Pick: No! No, I'm not like them. I can remember before, what I think is actually real.

Zero: Yeah, we all have known that feeling.

One: It's still kinda hard to believe this isn't a dream

Pick: When I heard that announcement this morning I—You three were the only ones who could have stopped me.

One: Now I'm not sure of that. If you try to kill us, we won't kill you. Normally.

Pick: Alright. I'm ready. You can kill me now.

Zero: What?

One: You're really asking us to kill you. I mean I know Akira did the same thing, but why you?

Pick: So Akira remembers too, huh? Either way, just do it.

Colt: Or, you could join us, we go kill these motherfuckers, and we all get out of here faster.

Pick: No, if I do that I... I lose what you've given me. I have something to remember. Something to hold onto. And now I know it's real and it's pure and it's...

One: Love?

Pick: Home.

Zero: Got it.

Pick: I have to loop the first thing. Every day. Until I'm there. I can't risk forgetting this. Understand?

One: I guess.

Pick: Now get us out of here. Get us home.

I pull out a pistol and aim it at Pick.

Colt: Can you at least tell us your name?

Pick: Pick Rexly.

Colt: Got it. See you on the outside.

I fire my pistol and kill Pick, causing her to loop. So there was another one that remembers. This damn Loop... For those that do remember, insanity is inevitable. Maybe this paradise to others. But to me... to us... it's a cage. I really don't like cages. We're breaking this damn loop.
