Nature twists things, that is sure. I don't want to think about the two sides- good and evil as this is not so clear cut in our world. Are we cool and calculated at the moment of decision-making? It's tough. Some are very calculated, but some are motivated by love and this is how this has rolled out."-  Bonnie wrote in her Grimoire the night before.

Nova Scotia-fake world

Elena felt the Cure take over and soon she could feel the effects of it immediately.

Bonnie watched her friend slightly apprehensive and then when she felt Elena's pulse, she smiled with relief seeing that it had worked.

"Are you all right?"- she still checked with Elena.

"Yes. Feels...normal, actually."- Elena confirmed and now held her hand out for Bonnie to cut into the palm, taking the mystic doppelganger's blood in a bowl.

Bonnie then prepared the site for the ritual. Elena took Hope and stood with her in the middle of the pentagram.

"Everything is going to be fine."- Elena said to the girl kissing her on the head.

Flashback

"I will need your blood Lena, and for all this to work you have to turn back... and be human again. Only the doppelganger's blood will do for the ritual and wake up Elijah"

Elena nodded in agreement without hesitation.

Bonnie then lit the candles and started with the ritual -

"Clamavero ad solem et lunam" As she said those words a feeling of cold enveloped Elena who now held Hope close to her. The child was calmly looking at Elena, who gulped a bit as Bonnie continued feeling the blood on her hand holding Hope's hand started to burn- "tolle de tenebris magicae! Usque in saeculum reconditum!!"

As she said the last words, Bonnie could hear a scream break out of nowhere as if a beast was cut open. Then all of a sudden the wind that seemed to start to brew settled.

"Is it done?"- Elena asked Bonnie looking at Hope, who held to Elena tightly. The girl was fine.

Bonnie now walked into the circle to them and touched Hope gently. She could not feel any magic in the girl anymore.

She smiled and happily said- "We did it! Now Elijah!!"

Bonnie now took Hope and Elena went to Elijah.

She now knelt down and held his head up. She slit her other palm letting the blood flow into his mouth.

As the blood touched his lips, and streamed down his mouth he opened his eyes.

"Elijah..."- Elena said. His eyes shone at her with questions at first and Elena shushed him a bit continuing to pour the blood down his mouth. He felt the urge to bite into her wrist, and he did, but there were no fangs anymore. It was clear now that the doppelganger's mystic blood worked. Elena moved the palm to Bonnie, who put an ointment bandaging it a bit.

"Elena? What just... where are we? Hope?"- Elijah now looked at the three of them feeling somewhat woozy.

Elena now couldn't help herself but to embrace him happily.

"You're back!!!"- she said exclaiming with tears of happiness flooding from her eyes.

Before he could continue with his questions, Bonnie opened the ascendant and like in a flash they returned to Mystic Falls.

In The Salvatore Boarding House, a few hours later

Elijah finished his phone call to Klaus and rejoined Elena, Bonnie, Hope and Damon in the lounge.

"I will forgive you for not cluing me in this time."- Damon joked with Bonnie.

"Sorry, but too many people knowing would have made it risky."- Bonnie said now giving him a peck- "next time."

"This is like IT now. Can we finally have some HEA?!"- Damon said-"or is that overrated?!"

"HEA?!"- Elijah looked at Elena taking Hope now in his arms.

"Happily ever after."- Elena explained.

"How are you feeling?"- Bonnie asked looking at both Elena and Elijah.

"Fine."- Elena said.

Elijah confirmed the same.

" I so loved that chili...god, how I missed it."- Elena joked referring the take away they had earlier.

"Ok, Damon, we need to do some more shopping! Now there are three people to feed."- Bonnie said nudging him openly to get up and follow her.

"What?"- Damon looked snarkily at her.

"Do I have to spell it out to you to give them some privacy?!"- Bonnie now shot at Damon.

"Can't they go upstairs?!"

Bonnie blazed at him with her eyes indicating that she meant business.

"Right. I get it. I thought they already had their human moment together?!"- Damon remarked as he followed Bonnie out of the house.

Elena looked at Elijah and said referring to Damon's act- "not very subtle."

" Damon has never been sublte."- Elijah remarked.

"I know. So, are you really ok?"

"You have asked me that at least fifty times since we got back. I am fine."- he assured her.

"Can't help it. It's been more than thousand years since you last been human?! It must feel pretty weird?!"

"Well, I am still processing, I admit that."Elijah said  putting Hope aside on the sofa. 

"Come..."- he called her to sit down next to him.

He took her hands in his now looking at her with once again with reassurance in his eyes- "We have come a long way... you have done more for me than I have ever done for you."

"I didn't know that we are keeping score?! I didn't do it just for you. Kinda  also done it for myself. Talk about changing our fates?!"- Elena joked.

"Yeah?!"- he looked at her smiling dreamily.
"Yeah!"-Elena smiled back at her.
Elijah now moved towards her pulling her into a kiss.

Near Fell's Church, Bonnie asked Damon to stop the car.

"I thought we are going shopping?!" Damon said to Bonnie who got out of the car.

"Yes. Later. Now I have to destroy the fake world forever! No one is ever going to get that magic."

"Right," Damon said, "love your badass attitude. Turns me on!"

Bonnie now asked for some of his blood.

"My blood."

"Yeah. Something dark. Vampires are dark magic." Bonnie explained.

She then put her blood on the Ascendent too.

"Here we go." she said. She opened the ascendent and then said the magic worlds,"Claudere in aeternum!"

And as they have once experienced the moment, a flashlight sprung upon them in a milisecond and then all was like before.

"I just hope we didn't end up in some new AU!! Tell me we are still in MF" Damon said to Bonnie.

Bonnie took her phone and dialed Elena's number. It was ringing, but there was no reply.

"They are busy!!" Damon remarked, let me call Stefan.

The call went through.

"Nothing. Just checking if we are still in this world!!" Damon said to his brother, "oh, yeah, there is news. Big ones! Elena is human again, but guess what - so is Elijah! How is Valerie?"
