Elijah found Klaus and told him about Elena and the vision Bonnie had.

"Nothing ever goes without the doppelganger,"- Klaus said "follows us like a curse everywhere!"

"I have come here just to share a piece of information as it regards Hope."-Elijah indicated poignantly.

"You will make sure that Elena is safe?!"

Elijah just gave him a look that spoke volumes.

"The doppelganger is never out of your heart, I know. She is the one that most resembles in spirit to..."- Klaus stopped as he could see that Elijah was not amused at his remark. 

Hayley now joined them.

"Ah...here comes the Queen. You are late for the privy Council!"- Klaus snarked.

"What is it that cannot be relayed by a message?!"- Hayley  snarked back at Klaus.

They updated her on the latest developments.

They all agreed that Elijah asked Elena to invite Bonnie to New Orleans. 

Elijah then left. 

In a hotel, not far from the place Elijah had been staying, Elena finished chatting with Bonnie.

She  put the phone down and walked over to the mirror and checked her hair and sighed a little trying to steady herself.

She sighed a little. Elijah was on her mind.  Her feelings stirred were so very alive. Nothing was ever simple when he was concerned. Then she could hear  someone coming up the stairs. A  knock at the door followed. She knew it was him.

"Come in." Elena said.

Elijah walked in.

"Bonnie will be here later tonight."- Elena blurted out trying to hide strange nervousness that came over her.

Elijah nodded a little saying-

"We don't know when and where Dahlia will appear. Everyone is on high alert."

"Bonnie said that she can appear only when the link is established."- Elena continued.

"They must know about it?!" Elijah said- "Bonnie could be walking into a trap?!"

"She can take care of herself. You don't know how powerful Bonnie has become. Things are not the  way it used to be."- Elena explained.

"No, things are not what they used to be?!"- Elijah said nearing her now.

Elena could feel the air electrifying between them. They stood a few inches apart from one another. Elena closed the gap  and looked up at him as if compelled to do it. Nothing was the same for a very long time, and yet between them it seemed it was always very much the same.

"I missed you!"- Elijah then said dearly.

Elena gulped a little looking stunned for a moment. His eyes were truthful.

"You have?"- Elena said mercilessly. 

They both knew what it was about. 

"You know it very well." Elijah then uttered.

Elena nodded. He didn't have to give her an elaborate explanation how he felt. It had always  been like a dance that they loved playing.

He then gently took hold of her hand. They inched closer and his hand glid up her neck not leaving her gaze. He wanted a moment to feel her nearness. Everything else would be lustful, and he didn't want that. It was about everything else. It was about everything he felt for this woman and she now moved slowly with her head to his, searching in the reflection of his eyes all that she was feeling. A look of confirmation followed with a kiss, supple, sweet and exaltingly powerful, making them forget all, time,  place, reason.
