I | THE WAR COUNCIL
It felt awkward hiking up Half-Blood Hill like nothing ever happened, but in truth nothing has happened . . . yet. Their injures from recent events stung as the sweat from their bodies seeped into the open wounds. It was a wonder that no one has noticed them yet, but when the time came they had no idea what to do. Both were mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, that was defiantly not a good combination for two people about to waltz into a camp full of war minded demigods.
Sweat poured down Percy's face as he made his last few steps to the top of the hill, Annabeth was only a few feet behind him. He turned around and held out his hand with the best smile he could muster "Need some help, Wise Girl?"
It took a moment for Annabeth to return the smile and to willingly grab his hand for help, but when she did they both walked to Thalia's tree . . . and Peleus. The dragon lifted his head and studied them cautiously, trying to figure out if they were a threat. The two demigods held out their hands for him to sniff, thinking he would probably recognize their scent. He did, Peleus stared at them for a moment longer before laying his head back down to sleep.
"I think it's safe, we need to rest somewhere." Annabeth walked closer to the dragon and slowly sat down, she rested her back on his body and when he didn't attack she relaxed. The daughter of Athena patted the spot next to her for Percy to sit. He smiled and sat down beside her, he patted Peleus's head before wrapping his arm around Annabeth. She leaned into him and rested her head on his shoulder.
"So what's the plan?" Percy asked.
"We need to find someone we trust and tell them who we are so they can help us convince the rest we are who we say."
"And who might that be?"
Their conversation was cut short by a gasp, they turned around to find Will, Will Solace. He was the son of Apollo and, in their time, the head councilor of the cabin and head medic.
"Will," Percy reasoned. "Before you freak out. . ."
He stood and slowly walked toward the child of Apollo, who seemed to be scared stiff "You need to listen to us very carefully. For one, we are obviously not a threat because if we were Peleus would have killed us by now. Two, I know you won't believe us at the moment but we are from the future. My name is Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, and she is Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena."
"T-that's impossible! Both of y-you are at the w-war council!"
Annabeth rolled her eyes "If you were listening carefully then you would have heard him say 'we are from the future'."
"F-fine then, who is the head councilor for the Apollo cabin?"
Percy sighed "For our time: You. For this time: Lee Fletcher."
Will nodded "O-okay, what about . . ."
"Will, we really don't have time for this. You said something about us being at a war council, can you take us there?" Annabeth asked.
Will shifted is feet "Well it's for Head Councilors only . . ."
"For this I'm sure they will make an exception. Now," She stood up and dusted off her pants. "take us there."
The son of Apollo nodded hesitantly "Alright, I'll take you to the war council."
He turned slowly and started walking toward the arena. Percy and Annabeth looked at each other before following.

It didn't take them long to get there, but on the way they kept their heads low. Many campers passed them by as they walked, they seemed to think they were just new. Will also kept glancing back at them as if he expected them to be monsters or they would stab him in the back, it made the couple every uncomfortable. They weren't much better though, from their battles with Gaea they were a little paranoid. Once they reached the forest, Will held out his hand, telling them to stop in the surrounding trees of the arena.
"Here we are." Will said to them, getting the attention of those in the meeting.
Chiron stepped forward "Will, why are you here when there is a war council?"
"Well, you see, I have something important to say . . ."
Percy (The younger) sighed "Well, make it quick. We have some important business to discuss."
"Or it could wait," Clarisse growled. "I highly doubt anything he had to say is as important as this."
Will paled slightly and shuffled his feet "Willing to bet?"
The daughter of Ares rolled her eyes "Sure, worm. How much?"
"Well--."
Annabeth looked at Perseus (the older), who nodded in agreement. She growled "Alright, this is taking way too long!"
She walked out of the trees and came up next to Will, Perseus closly behind her "He means us."
