Kalmado

The satisfying sound of water relaxes me, while the waves keep on hitting my skin. The sun - that's always been the best scene here, enough to make me stay in this place over and over again no matter how much painful memories were left here and in my heart. I looked at the sunset. Another end, sign of a new beginning.

"Allisson, dinner?" I stared at the sunset for the last three minutes until I decided to stand up and make my way up to our table.

"Mom, why do I have to be amused by this place so much? Kahit ilang beses na akong nakapunta rito?" I asked her. She smiled.

"It's because this is where things started.. and ended," mahinahon niyang sagot. I looked from afar. The calm waves hit the rocks.

"So much memories were left here, mom.. Grabe." sabi ko bago ako kumain. Naging tahimik ang dinner namin at pagkatapos ay nagpasya na akong bumalik sa aming villa.

While letting myself soak in the bathtub, I have thought if things stayed still like it was before, what would be my life right now? If I have the control of the things before, would be the life I have right now would be like this?

Kung napigilan ko siya at nanatili siya? Would things go in this kind of way? But that was done already. Hindi ko na mababago yon. It was a great lesson for me, though.

Hindi lahat ng taong nangangako, tinutupad ang mga salitang binitiwan nila. I hate promises. Ayokong maging kampante muli sa mga pangako..

After of the few thoughts, napagpasyahan ko nang tumayo and wrapped the bathrobe around my body. Pagkalabas ko ay nakaupo si mom doon at may hawak na phone.

"Allisson, she wants to talk to you.."

Agad nangunot ang aking noo. Who's that? Lumapit agad ako upang makuha ang telepono.

"Hi, Shanniah.." I don't know how to response. What should I say? The next thing I know was the tears started rolling in my cheeks, uncontrollably.
