Following on from the embarrasment I faced last Tuesday, I received a letter home addressed to my parents. Ah fuck it, I decided to open it and read the big bold letters on the paper. "You have been invited to this years ACE awards" Great, another hour and a half of my life wasted. I wasn't even smart, why did they invite me anyway?! I decided to give the letter to my parents, and faced a whole week of them bragging about how "smart their daughter was" until the ACE awards finally arrived, unfortunately.

As I was walking the halls of school (more like hell), I saw him and his friend walking around the football pitch talking. Now, I'm sure y'all know me by now, I decided to go closer and listen to what they were talking about. And what I heard made my heart sing, ironically. He was going to sing for the opening of the ACE awards. Looks like it wouldn't be such a waste of time after all.

When the day of the ACE awards came I couldn't wait for school to end already, I needed as much time possible to look at least decent enough. As soon as the last bell rang I rushed out of my class and practically ran home so I had enough time.

After what felt like hours of applying and then taking off my makeup I was finally 'ready'. We had to go dressed in our school uniforms which was annoying as fuck, how the hell was I meant to show him my 'curves' in this baggy uniform?! Ugh, yet another thing messing up my plan. When we arrived back at school we were told to enter the big hall where the ceremony would be held, and there I saw him, sitting first row right next to the stage with the rest of the people from choir. My palms instantly started to sweat and my heart was now beating uncontrollably.

If only he felt the same.
