Papa Rise walked back home from a trip through town humming softly til he saw his son sitting on the front porch with a perplexed face. The mime man walked over and then tapped Jack on his shoulder which had his clownish little boy looking up at him.

Papa Rise: 'Son, what's with the long face? You look troubled, is something on you're mind?' He said through sign language while Jack looked around a bit nervously so. 'Your mother isn't here, Jack. What's wrong talk to your old man.' He signed as he sat down beside Jack on the front porch steps.

Jack sighed deeply before looking up at his dad. Like his father, Jack was built like a gentle giant and he wasn't done growing til he turned thirty. Anyone, he'd get advice from in his family was mainly his father, his hero who taught him how to be strong yet gentle. But when it came to the realization that was mainly his mother, this was a different story.

Jack: "Dad, how did you ask mom out, you know on a date?" He questioned while Papa Rise looked down at him with wide eyes.

Papa Rise: He cleared his throat a bit before signing to his son. 'Your mother was very persistent when she first started to get to know me, a mute mime. I thought that she pitied me...' He stopped signing for a moment before sighing softly. 'It wasn't till I got hurt very badly that I awoke to see your mother right there at my hospital bedside that I realized that she truly cared for me, even loved me.' He signed before smiling fondly looking down at his son. 'I asked your mother out through a poem after I carried her away a few clown suitors that were talking to her.' He signed as his eyes darkened a tad in remembrance. 'My advice to you, Jack. If you like Ms. Jamie then I suggest you woo her the way only you know how.' He signed before holding a paper flier towards Jack.

Jack: His cheeks burned bright red and his eyes widened drastically when his father told him a bit of his parent's story but only blushed when he brought up Jamie. "H-How?" He questioned while taking the flier from his father to see it was a paper for the local young singles of Cloudytown themed in the early nineteen sixties.

Papa Rise: He smiled knowingly and signed toward his son. 'A father knows things, Jack, and you make it obvious as ever.' He signed before standing up and gestured for Jack to follow him inside his childhood home. 'Let's see if I can find you some more appealing clothes for this themed dance, I believe that you can fit into some of your grandfather's vintage clothes.' Jack followed after his father into the house.

Later that evening at Cloudytown's Town Hall

Singles from an array of heights filled the room wearing brighter clothes of vintage and modern style while Rory Rainbowberry and Knackandan Drizzle were setting up the hall's stage for a live music performance as girls, and guys gathered around each other talking, gossiping, and mingling together.

Daisy Chain Jane was wearing a multiple-colored dress with Mary Jane kitten heels, Cloudy Belle Sue was seen wearing a purple, blue, and white poodle skirt and a cream blouse, and kitten heels as well.

But backstage was Jack pacing not believing that his father talked the mayor into letting this happen as Rory popped his head in between the curtains.

Rory: "Jack, dude your up." He said while noticing his friend's nervous look. "She's not here yet, Jack." He said while Jack groaned running his hands through his hair and Rory walked over to his friend.

Jack: "This is crazy, Rory. I-I can't do this." He said while Rory grabbed him by the shoulders firmly.

Rory: "I'm sorry, I must have icing in my ears but I could've sworn I heard the Sunny Day Jack stuttered." He said while looking over at Jack before sighing softly. "Look, you like Jamie right?" He questioned while Jack nodded slowly. "You want her to be your gal?" He questioned as Jack nodded again. "Okay, then woo her before another person sweeps her off her feet." He said seriously while Knackandan poked his head in telling the two but, mainly Jack that Jamie had arrived.

Jamie walked into town hall wearing light bubble gum pink tights, a glittery sunset-colored split skirt, and a belly shirt with light sky blue add-ons. Her sky blue fading into bright bubble gum pink hair was held up with a light pink bow and her feet held cute hot pink flats. She began looking around the room trying to spot her gal pals until music caught her ears, so Jamie looked over at the stage to see Knackandan and Rory playing instruments with a few other guys. This made Jamie smile while closing her eyes and began tapping her foot to the beat not noticing Jack step out from backstage wearing jeans, a bright red and light pink star-decorated open buttoned-up shirt that showed a good amount of his chest muscles, and a light mint green ascot scarf around his neck.

Soon the sound of wild screaming of girls broke Jamie from her listening to the music and looked up at the stage with wide e/c eyes once she saw Jack walking over the mic on the stage. Her s/c cheeks burned against what she was seeing while Jane and Sue found her as the duo was giggling.

Jack: He gestured for the guys to stop the music as he took a deep breath and took hold of the microphone and its stand in front of him. His hazel eyes looked around the room trying to find Jamie in the sea of screaming fans til he finally saw her blushing face which made his cheeks burn up as well. "Ahem, This song is for a very special gal in the hall." He said that multiple girls thought it was one of them until he spoke up. "Jamie, I hope you'll save me a dance." He said while his fans pouted sadly before going back to their dates as the music started up again, Jane, and Sue hugged Jamie excitedly. He took a deep breath and then began singing out loud looking toward Jamie while the crowd began partnering up for dancing.

Jack: Hey little girl, with the cash to burn

Rory, Knackandan: (ladies' choice)

Jamie looked at Jack with wide e/c eyes while fanning her face to calm down even as Jack began dancing while he was singing. Jamie shook her head and looked toward her friends and whispered toward them before she began dancing through the crowd to get up to the stage as Jack sang out with Rory, and Knackandan sang back up.

Jack: The ladies' choice, woo!

Jamie eventually stopped near the stage and looked up at Jack while holding her hand out toward him as he knelt down and helped her onto the stage, holding her close as her hands rested on his shoulders. Jamie looked up at Jack as he gave the microphone to Rory and put on a headset microphone instead before the Sunny Day Duo began dancing together while Jack kept singing.

Jack: Hey little girl, you're window shopping

Closer inspection, I'm sure that you'll agree

Jamie looked up at Jack smiling as they danced together while he spun her around to dip her down a bit. The two looked at each other eyes, e/c meeting deep hazel til Jamie grabbed onto Jack's ascot scarf and made his eyes widen a bit but both their faces flushed with heat as Jack brought Jamie back onto her feet as Rory, and Knackandan sang out.

Rory, Knackandan: Ah, ah, ah......!

Jack gulped nervously while Jamie gave him a soft smile with a cute head tilt. Jack loosen his ascot a bit before leaning down towards Jamie slowly as she leaned up against his body until their lips touched. Jamie wrapped her arms around Jack's neck while Jack's arms wrapped around her waist as they kissed each other it felt like fireworks were going off between them from the kiss.

After a few seconds although it felt like hours the two separated from the kiss to look at each other until two identical smiles showed up on Jack's and Jamie's faces as Jack picked Jamie up princess style and spun them both around smiling brightly. Jack set Jamie back down and the two danced together Jack began singing out again.

Later that evening

Jack walked down the street holding hands with Jamie who lay her head against his arm underneath the stars til they stopped at Jamie's house.

Jack: "And here we are, escorting a fair lady back home." He said while the two stopped underneath Jamie's front porch.

Jamie: She giggles sweetly while taking her hair bow out to let her long sky blue fading into bright bubble gum pink hair down. "Thank you for walking me home, Jack." She said while looking up at him. "Do you want to come inside for a cup of coffee?" She asked while opening up her front door and walking into her home.

Jack: "Anything for you, Sunshine and that sounds good." He said before walking into Jamie's house and closing the door behind him.
