Chapter 3

Harry pops his head out of the back room, his eyes finding the woman at her desk, nibbling the end of her quill as she examines some paper work, scribbling something here and there. He watches her a moment, the way her glasses slowly slide down her nose and a slender pale manicured hand slowly pushes them back up before tucking a strand of lose raven locks behind her ear.

"Staring at me again Potter?" She makes no effort to look at him.
"Uh...No! I came to say your tea is done."
She looks up at him, arching her brow.
"Then where is it?"
"Uh in here, I'll bring it to you"
"Good idea." Bella responds turning back to the paper at hand. She had this one paper to mark then she was done, and she was halfway through.

Harry carries two cups of tea out towards her desk, carful not to tip them as he places them down on the little coasters on her desk.
"What class are you marking?"
"Yours actually, of course yours is nonexistent because you fell asleep."
"Ah..." he takes a sip of his tea.
"But you should be fully energised now and capable of completing the task later this evening." She finishes the last but one paper then places it in her drawer.
"Yay..."

Bella smiles taking off her glasses
"Well I'm already receiving enough shit because of you Potter, so you are going to do this paperwork and you're going to do a good job or there'll be consequences."
"What like no tea and biscuits?"
"Definitely no tea and biscuits." A smirk made its way to her lips, the boy swallows taking a big gulp of tea.
"That's just too far." He responds pulling the biscuits out from his pocket and clutching them to his chest.

Bella chuckles, shaking her head as she reaches for her tea.
"Pop by later, I'll go over what you missed today and you can do the task then." The witch takes a sip of her tea before placing it back on the desk and taking a biscuit from the offered pack.
"Right, now don't talk for the next couple of minutes until I finish this last paper."
"Noted." He said popping another biscuit in his mouth. The witch finished fairly quickly and placed the last one back on the stack.
"Who did the best?"
"Are you seriously asking that question?"
"Hermione then Draco?" Harry nods already knowing the answer.
"How long until lunch?"
"Don't get too excited the bell for fourth lesson hasn't long gone off." She places the quill in its holder before looking up at the boy munching on his biscuits.

"Do you want a game of chess?" He asked before reaching for another biscuit.
"You know you could really go to your fourth lesson now." Bella smiles.
"But I just made tea..." the young wizard looks at his full cup of tea.
"Oh what a shame I'll have to drink it."
"You wouldn't really make me go to my fourth lesson now, I mean I've already missed so much of it..."
"15 minutes, that's all you've missed, if you leave now you'll catch up in no time."
The boy groans earning a chuckle from his professor.
"Go set the chess board up, exactly how I showed you. Don't forget you have to catch up on the lessons you've missed today mind." Bella reminds him and he nods going to get the board.

Harry furrows his brows, examining the board, they've only been playing a couple of minutes and he's already losing.
"Anytime this century Potter." The woman smiles knowing full well she's won again.
"I'm thinking." He mutters still trying to find his best move.
"Look at it this way love, what ever one you move I'll still win because I've got the major advantage."
"You could leave me win at least once."
"And what will that teach you hmm?"  The woman tilts her head "You think Voldemort would let you win?"
"He might if I ask nicely."
"Alright tell you what, next time he decides to pull one of his stunts, you ask him nicely and if you're still alive, come back and I'll let you win a game of chess."
Harry paused for a moment, watching the woman make her move.

"Do you think he'll come again? I mean I know people say he's dead...but I'm not all convinced he is..."
"Never underestimate him Harry, that's where the others have been going wrong. I personally don't think he's dead, no offence but for a man like him you took him out far too easy."
The witch furrows her brows.
"That's what I thought, but everyone seems pretty convinced he's gone forever."
"If I wanted to take over the wizarding world and was hell bent on destroying you first, I would ensure I had multiple back ups just in case you managed to defeat me, not that you ever could of course. However horcruxes for one is something I would definitely do, to ensure I could come back and finish my intended job. Naturally I'd do it right the first time though." She moves her pawn again.
"You know what else I would do?" She meets the eyes of her student.
"I'd come for you in my own time, I'd sneak my way in, coming from your blind spots, taking out the ones you love the most, disguise myself as them then at your most weakest point I'd strike. I'd crucio you until you hit the point of insanity then I'd rip your heart out just to be on the safe side." And just like that the woman starts chuckling.
"Looks like I won another game." She smiles victoriously. Harry swallows looking down at the board game and his dismantled pieces.

"I really wouldn't like to get on your bad side." He looks back at his Professor.
"Make another tea and I can assure you, you won't be on my bad side." She smiles pushing her empty cup towards him.
"Noted." He smiles, grabbing her cup then leaving.
"How about we play Draughts for a change?" The woman shouts behind him.
"Sounds like a plan." He shouts back.
