So cliche
I walk to the library with a huge scowl on my face, passing a window as I go. I see my reflection. Ugh, I do look constipated. Stupid Miss Parsins.
I push the library doors open and walk in, opening my satchel to pull out my English book as I do so.
You can probably guess what happens next.
Slam. And I'm on the floor.
So cliche.
"My eyesight may be a little screwed up, what's your excuse?" A grumble, rubbing my forehead angrily.
Someone chuckles. A very familiar someone.
I look up and low and behold there, right in front of me, chuckling his ass off, is Brecken Davis.
"You done?" I say, struggling to get up with my satchel weighing me down.
Like jeez, what's in here, stones?!
Brecken puts out a hand which I pointedly ignore. This kid has knocked me down twice in the spam of less than three hours, like hell I'm taking his help. I remain on the library floor which is unsurprisingly uncomfortable.
"You just gonna sit there? Should I leave?" Brecken says, his eyes filled with humour.
I growl, making his face drop to an uneasy smile. "Yes, leave. I've seemed to have grown a relationship with the floor since you've come. You leaving would really help my injured pride and butt."
Brecken's face cracks into a devilish smile. "Well then, just for that reason I think I'll be staying a while. Get to know the real dirt stain."
I smile falsely. What a lucky girl I am.
