8|The Flame
Mabel's P.o.v
Bill stubbornly sat on the rustic brown couch downstairs, just giving me a look while looking at the Mabel Juice in disgust. I carefully replace the stuff in the kitchen, then walk over slowly. I sit by him just a bit. We both look away. He rubbed his injured hand, then sighs in defeat.
"Ugh! This is too awkward for my taste. Can't you mortals have something else to do?!" He complained, irritated. I laugh, then he stared at me with this plain looked face. I stopped slowly, as he smirked like I did something.
"Why is your face like that?" I asked, just a little weirded out.
"No reason~" He stated casually, shrugging and walked over to the living room. I sigh and smile lightly, getting up and walking in the direction he went. I stop in my tracks. He pulled back his sleeves and snapped quickly. I blush deeply. He engulfed a mini cyan bright blue flame in his hands, cupping it slowly. His eyes narrowed as he concentrated even more. I gasp and slowly walk over, sitting on the couch with him, scooting closer every few seconds until I was just a few inches away from him and the magic flame. I wanted to touch it so much. Bill grunts and I gape a bit as it disappeared. He pulled his hair back in frustration and looked at me with this mad look.
"What was that?" I ask, ignoring the expression nervously. He chuckled.
"Something your human mind can't comprehend. You're very, very distracting by the way." He murmured tiredly. He noticed I had these big bulging eyes staring. I look away and smile big anyways. I scoot even closer.
"Do it again. Please?" I ask calmly, observing his hands for something to happen. Have to admit, I maybe sort of wined with a pleasing look on my face. He raised his eyebrow with a grin on his face. Bill looked back to his hands and concentrated hard like last time. I go wide eyed in awe.
It started like a tiny bit of electricity, trying to work as it should. My heart jumped as it expanded to a medium amount, the size of his palm. It was like when you set a campfire up and it just made this crackling noise as people you care about stare around the fire. It was just me and Bill awed in magic. He laughed happily. I did the same.
"That's amazing!" I exclaimed. He chuckled lightly, and blows at the blue fire. It disappeared from the bottom to the top. I was completely mesmerized. He raised his eyebrow and laughed.
"Meatsacks get so impressed way too easily." He starts, then yawns eruptly. He gaped and shook confused. I could see the worry in his eyes, but it was covered by his very sleepy eye.
"Why...*yawn* is everything so...droopy?..*yawn*" He mumbled softly. I look at him, then look down slightly.
"Humans get tired, you know? Just lay down." I instructed to Bill. He snorts and rubs his eyes, trying to stay awake with little result.
"NO. I must keep my guard up! You're crazy!" He sneered darkly. I sigh heavily. He sat up with his head hanging low. I giggle, and push his head back to the couch. He grumbles and tries to escape, but he seemed weaker. Sleep must have really deprived him. I carefully "shh" him slowly and softly. I couldn't help but comb through his yellow fluffy hair.
"Why are you being like this? I'm your enemy, and a villian. You're clueless to state otherwise-" Bill closed his eyes, then blinked them back up again. I yawn as well, resting my head on his shoulder. He tenses his shoulder, but doesn't move any more.
"Because...everyone deserves a chance. *yawn* Besides, your aren't so bad...after all..." I reason quietly, before closing my eyes. Guess I'm sleepy too. It's been a while, plus it's nice sleeping here. I almost heard him gasp, but it returned to a silence. We sat quietly for a while until he broke the silence.
"What? No, you don't mean that. Of course, that's just you useless pity you've putting on me. I don't want to hear a bit of pity from the likes of you." Bill grumbled, turning his head away from me. I still placed my head on his shoulder lightly.
"You..aren't so bad after all..." I repeat quietly, almost to myself.
I could feel my hand on his chest, as his breathing goes in and out. His heart thumped in rhythm. He had a heart. I didn't know if he always did, but it was such a strange feeling. A demon with a real heart. It was a first.
I felt Bill's heart quicken. A smile plastered on my face. His body moved slightly. His head fell on top of mine, his hands crossed around him. I knew he was thinking about it. Bill slowly combed through my brunette hair, then pulling his arm away. I yawned one more time before falling into a deep dream. I felt so alive, yet so safe.
Unknowingly, Bill smiled at the sleeping Shooting Star brunette.
Dream
I was running. I didn't know where or why, but I felt like I ran 1000 miles. Sweat dripped off my head and onto my cheek. Crack. The trees somehow all around me glowed and snapped in half, just like that. My feet glued to the floor. I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. I was choking. My feet sunk deeper and deeper. The trees collapsed around me, one by one. My heart felt like a pain just beating over and over again. Tears welled into my eyes. My body sunk until my head was above the ground. I go wide eyed as the trees begin to fall until 3 of them fell in my direction. Crack Crack crack. I scream, covering my eyes with such force.
"Need a hand, Shooting Star?" Someone said behind me. I gasp fearfully, turning quickly until I fell until someone's arms. I struggle to escape. My loud breathing went in and out.
"Shh. Shh. You're just dreaming." He starts. It was Bill. He looked so worried. I back up and look down. We were on this green hill, surrounded by colorful poppies and a sunset. I felt the wind on my face.
"Where are we?" I ask slowly.
"In your head." He stated, patting my head like a dog. It took a second to process.
"WAIT. My head?! How? Grunkle Ford said your powers were gone-" I start, confused. He groans loudly and slaps his forehead.
"Technically, most of my power. Not all of it. Besides, can't let Sixer know that, alright?" He had this serious face as he stared at me. I nod slowly. 'Sorry Bill, but I can't let that happen. Ford would be proud to hear the things I've learned-'
Bill's P.o.v
She looked in awe at the world I created. Of course, I would want my Dimension as my home, but she was different. Just strange. She smiled big at me, and layed on the hill.
"WEEEEEE!" She yelled, rolling down the hill in such a weird way. Meatsacks have such unusual customs. She then ran back up the hill, panting from exhaustion, but still with a derpy smile. I smiled back.
"Can we do anything here?" She asked with exhilaration. I thought for a moment.
"As a matter of fact, Yes we could." Before snapping and we were in the woods. She stumbled a bit, but it turned into a dance as she spun and laughed, which echoed through the forest area.
"OOOO Can you take us to the Mystery Shack? Ooo, then the park? California!??!" She asked me over and over with a big grin on her face. Suddenly, I feel a pulling tug on my body. Everything was switching from real life to the dream. I frown and scan back and forth. Sudden realization hit me like a truck. 'Sixer and Pinetree are back...'
"What's wrong?" She asked, walking over. I motion to stay and look back at her.
"Nothing. I need to go. You will have good dreams for the rest of the time you're asleep now. Okay?" I instructed, hearing the yelling of Sixer outside. I go into a sad expression for a second, before returning to a relaxed look. I snap into my triangle form and turn away, floating toward the endless abiss. She grabbed my hand, pulling me into a tight hug. I narrow my eye and let her do so.
"Please don't leave me." She said lightly. I laugh lightly.
"Kid, Do you really want me to answer that?" I ask humorously. She didn't take it humorously like I intended, but I ignored that. She pouted and crossed her arms. The pull got stronger, so before I leave, I turn to her and fiddle with my hands. She leaned forward. I pant and laugh heavily. I opened my hands to appear a golden fluorescent butterfly, flapping it's wings around Shooting Star.
"Hehehe! Bill! This is amazing!" She called, following the butterfly. I sigh, and tell the butterfly in my mind to fly as far as it can. It does so and she runs away, trying to catch it. I frown, but teleported out of her mind. 'Finally! That brainless girl finally let me leave!' I got out and turned around quickly. I froze in place. 'OH ARE YOU KIDDING ME-'

Mabel's P.o.v
I slowly blink open my eyes. Everything seemed like it was spinning back and forth? My eyes go wide as Dipper was looking at me with disbelief.
"M-Mabel!" Dipper yelled, hugging me tightly.
I hugged back, smiling.
"What's wrong Dipping Sauce? But where's Bill?-"
"Bill is getting what he deserves! Just come." Dipper stated plainly, grabbing my hand. I frown. 'What he deserves?...' We race down the stairs into Ford's lab. Once we set back down into the room, I look around. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Ford suddenly burst into the room, closing the metal door slowly. I had some sort of weird vibe with Grunkle Ford and Dipper. It was off.
"Grunkle Ford, What's going on?!" I exclaimed, which made Ford turn. Dipper sighed and looked at Ford.
"Bill broke out. I wouldn't be surprised if he was fooling you to gain your comfort. I need to run some tests." Ford explained thoroughly, eyeing the metal door suspiciously. I gasp and run to the metal door, but Ford grabbed my hand. It hurt badly. I wince and stare at him sadly.
"Grunkle Ford! He did nothing wrong and your punishing him?! We were in my head-" I start, and him and Dipper look at each other. I was confused.
"He did something to you. You wouldn't care if it wasn't for his magic. It's all fake, Mabel!" Dipper yelled, pulling me deeper into he lab. I pull away viciously.
"You all don't understand! He is a good guy! Please listen!" I shout. Dipper stopped.
"He..He did nothing wrong. I know in the past he was a jerk, but please, can I prove it to you?" I asked softly, quivering. Ford kept his sour expression. Dipper sighed and agreed with me.
"Ford, maybe she's right. I don't trust him one bit, but I need to see it to believe it." Dipper told to Ford who still wasn't convinced.
"If you don't believe me, just let me see him..You'll see." I start happily.
"Fine, but you aren't going in alone. But, keep in mind that if he touches you, he's dead. Alright?" Ford said coldly.
I nod joyfully. I turn back to the metal door, a feel of worry beginning.
