Chapter 21: Facing Reality

Note: Like I said, I'm going to be answering those questions I posted at the end of the last chapter, but first, let's make a quick detour and see what Tia is thinking when she wakes up...

Tia's POV

My eyes flicker open, and I yawn quietly, trying to focus on my surroundings before stiffening in surprise.

Memories of what had happened the previous night flooded my mind like someone had turned the tap on in a sink, and I relax instantly, glancing over to the sleeping figure next to me, whose arms were wrapped around me tightly, as if afraid I would leave him.

The sun felt warm on my back, the light flooding in from the balcony, and it was surprisingly quiet for an average London morning. Turning back to the situation at hand, I smile lightly.

Yesterday....was different.

My legs shift, and I wince. Still feeling a bit sore, I shut my eyes and snuggle my head under his neck, making him stir slightly and pull me impossibly closer. I liked this feeling, the feeling of being held. Being cared for, being safe.

I never thought I'd be safe with him-he proved me wrong yet again.

The feelings I had experienced last night had been new to me, but it had been better than I had expected. Amazing, actually. Sex had never been on my list of priorities-the feeling of being dominated over, being made helpless by my own body's instincts had scared me, but last night was different. He made me feel...like I was in control, yet out of it at the same time. Never did anything I didn't want him to, yet he pushed me over the edge.

I couldn't blame him for a small...incident that had occured. After not having sex for 1,500 years, it had been hard for him to...control himself. He could have killed me if he had lost control, and near the end he did just that. But it was a brutal mix of pain and pleasure, and I had loved every second of it.

He shudders and shifts suddenly, his eyes fluttering open. I smirk in amusement when he looks down at me, his eyes widening just the slightest in surprise and he blinks sleepily before relaxing, as I had done, when he remembered what had happened.

"Morning" I murmur, wrapping an arm round his neck.

"Morning" he yawns back, cuddling me close.

We stay like that for a while, locked in each other's embrace.

"What happens now?" Ridge asks suddenly, underlined by the cooing of pigeons outside as a car rolls by. The city was beginning to awaken.

"What do you mean?" I mumble into his neck, and he pulls away slightly, letting me roll away onto a cold part of the bed and I sigh in content-it felt good to be cool after being so warm for a long time. He was literally a giant hot water bottle.

"Where do we go from here? Only yesterday we were discussing how we could be potential partners and now...well...you know...what are we now?"

I pause, my head resting on the pillow, as I consider. My thoughts drift to Duncan and I wince, sitting up. Damn, I curse in my head, I totally forgot about everyone else.

"I don't know" I sigh, rubbing my eyes and holding the covers close to my bare body. I was covered in scars and bruises from previous fights, not to mention my injuries from my most recent fight with the assassin girl Kayleigh. I'd felt self conscious last night, but he had had a moment, kissing each and every scar lightly, helping me to loosen up.

I was scared, more than anything. Scared about everyone's reaction, scared about all these new feelings. It was all so new and sudden...

A hand suddenly intertwines with mine, and I look over to see Ridge, his head propped up by his hand. "It's okay" he whispers, eyes gazing into mine. "No need to rush. Take your time thinking about it."

I nod, suddenly relaxing, and I let him pull me back under the covers into his chest. My decisions about the future could wait. For now, I think, smiling as he kisses the top of my head and tucks the covers under me, I could enjoy the present.

Note: D'AWWWWWWWW-*cough* I mean uh, let's carry on xD Tidgedog everyone! :D OTP

Simon's POV

Everything changed when Hannah came back for the second time.

Upon seeing his beloved back where she belonged, red cuts around her body from whippings and her figure skeletal, Lewis embraced her for a long time, whispering how sorry he was, and how much he loved her. But I'd had enough of the Dog Father's tricks.

"We need to do something about this!" I snap, banging my hands loudly on the table in front of me, making it shudder under my power and the two look up.

"We can't just let him control our lives like this!" I yell, frustration making me want to tear my hair out.

"Relax friend, we will think of a way" Lewis urges us.

A knock at the door interrupts us, and Duncan and Kim enter, looking worried.

"Have you seen Tia anywhere? The rest of the girls were let out except her."

"He probably still has her. Torturing her or something, whatever that crazy psycopath does" I rage.

Note: MEANWHILE, IN THE HOTEL ROOM...XD

"Oh. About that" Hannah scowls, pulling away from Lewis and nodding at Kim who looked equally determined.

"What?" Duncan snaps, glaring at the two suspiciously.

"It appears Tia has befriended him. She didn't get tortured. Hell, she got to sleep in a proper room and get fed properly, and get a pet! She turned against us" Hannah spits, before turning to Lewis.

"She said that we will never be happy together because she's going to kidnap you and torture you to death in front of me, and she hopes that I die" Hannah growls, and Lewis glared at Duncan, as if it was his fault.

"Is this true?" I bark at Kim, who nods rapidly.

"She turned on us all. She let Ridge take her away, she's on his side now" the timid girl admits fiercely, her eyes blazing.

We all turn to Duncan who stares at us all in shock.

"I don't...I know...I don't believe it!" he shouts, pacing around the room. "She wouldn't do that! We're partners, for god's sake!"

I stare at the television behind Lewis.

"Guys. Turn the television up" I urge, and Kim lurches forward, grabbing the remote and jabbing the volume button.

"Reports are coming in of two criminals in London who have broken into the Picadilly Police station just hours ago. The criminals have been confirmed to be the infamous criminal lord Ridgedog, also known as the Dog Father and his partner and mistress Valleycat who has been previously confirmed as fake."

Duncan's jaw drops and he stumbles forward closer to the screen. The news cuts to a CCTV scene of the unmistakable figures of Ridge and Tia killing people in the corridor. One man grabs Ridge from behind, making him stumble, and I urge him on silently in my head before my jaw drops as Tia cuts the man's head off, letting Ridge free, and the two follow each other down the corridor.

"The CCTV footage concludes that Valleycat is indeed Tia Metcalfe, a serial killer also from Mistral Island like Ridgedog who has been a criminal since she was thirteen after killing Rachelle Citrus, also thirteen in her high school. Since then she has been a criminal fugitive, recorded to have killed over two hundred people."

The screen goes to a scene in the station of Tia calmly shooting police officers as they attempt to get to her. I notice with shock how every bullet seems to hit where she targets it-she was more talented than Duncan gave credit for.

"24 officers have been reported dead at the scene, and the two criminals have gone missing. Locals are urged to stay away from them if they are spotted and to alert local authorities immediately."

It then goes on to talk about Ridgedog and we all listen intently; somehow we had all ended up sitting on the sofa at this time, and Duncan's eyes were wide and shock was evident in them.

"Ridgedog, known by those in his area as the 'Dog Father' has killed over 3,000 people in a fifteen year period. Despite all that has been done to apprehend him, he has gotten away every single time. Officers and government officials say his "technology is beyond mad" and he is "practically invinsible-he is almost immortal." He has recently been in the news for the amount of tortured victims he has kept imprisoned who have come forward after an escape led by other lower criminals in the area-"

Lewis snorts at that and I can feel my skin burning with rage.

"-who say he starved them, tortured them with different contraptions weekly, and in one case, blew a woman's dead child up in front of her, forcing her to eat the insides of it."

We all shudder and look away at the picture evidence of some of the remains of the child the woman had taken with her when she had escaped. It then goes on to interview her.

"My life was hell in there" she mutters hoarsely, her eyes wide. "Everyday since I was freed, I thank the Lord I was saved. My baby is up there now, right? He's a little angel" she whispers, tears in her eyes. "God have mercy on his damned soul-he cannot go to hell. He is the devil and that was hell"

She bursts into tears, and Duncan slammed his hands down on the table, making us jump.

"I knew it!" he roars, standing up abruptly. Lewis tries to calm him down, but he struggles from his grasp.

"I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING GOING ON!"

"We need to do something!" Hannah hisses, glaring at the screen. The footage of the screen shows when Tia and Ridge enter the station and hand themselves in. We turn the volume up even more as we listen to what they say.

"Actually I'm here to hand myself in with my partner here" Ridge announces, his voice making my stomach turn. Duncan spits "partner" violently, glaring at Tia who does not react at all.

The receptionist woman asks for their names.

"You know who I am. They call me the Dog Father. She's known as Valleycat"

He smirks and turns to Tia, who just simply shakes his head at him, making him grin. Duncan looks so shocked he looks like he's about to be sick. He's NEVER grinned like that before. He either smirks, or manically grins like a crazy person. This was a different grin. A "This is fun!" grin.

It then goes to the scene in the corridor, and it was when I spot Tia grinning as Ridge tugs her forward that I turn the TV off, shaking horribly.

"She's a traiter" I whisper, shutting my eyes. The girl we took in, the one we treated like our daughter, was now the partner to the deadliest, most dangerous man in the world who hated our guts.

"We need to kill her" Kim whispers. Duncan doesn't say a word, just holds his forehead, trembling madly.

"Yes" Lewis agrees, glancing at the turned-off television screen. "They are in London right now, so we can go into his house, right?"

We all stare at each other. The plan was set.

Deamon's POV (xD)

"WEEEEEE!" I scream, the swivel chair flying down the corridor at a high speed.

"God, you're like a child!" Cisco's voice groans.

The chair hits a wedge in the floor making it jerk forward. I fly off of it, smacking my face into the wall opposite.

"Serves you right" he smirks, watching me lazily from Ridge's desk as I get up, rubbing my numb cheek and nose.

The prince was dressed to suit his title, with a crimson red coat, the coat tails hanging low to his black riding boots. He wore tight black jeans, with a tan belt and a golden buckle, with a white shirt.

Running a hand through his spiky brown hair, he glanced into a nearby mirror with anxious green eyes. He was, apparently, the "hottest demigod" in Voxeltopia (something I strongly disagreed with, naturally) and he wanted to look his best. At all times.

"Don't go clocking me out to daddy dearest" I tease, swearing when he hits me on the head.

"What, that we're having a holiday in his worst enemies house?" he snorts, and I nod.

"You know I'm not that stupid" he sighs.

"Sometimes I need to clarify it" I shrug, dodging his hand when he tries to hit me again.

I look over at the clock. 10pm.

"C'mon, I thought you said Ridge told you they'd be here by now!" Cisco whines, laying across Ridge's desk.

"Ohhh hold on!" I grin, flitting over to the CCTV cameras. I could see five mortals, creeping in the undergrowth towards the doors. One was heavily built, a ginger dwarf man. One was an ordinary man with black rimmed glasses on and a brown waistcoat. One was obviously a scientist, with a pure white lab coat and goggles over his mess of blonde hair. One was a stunning young woman with blonde hair. And the last was a young girl with jet black hair and a red dress.

"I'll take the blonde" Cisco murmurs near me, and I nudge him with my elbow, cracking my knuckles.

"Time to have some fun!" I sing, and he giggles-this was just like when we were kids.

"Oh, and before we go..." Ridge muses as he looks back round the door.

"No, I won't blow up your kitchen" I snort, rolling my eyes.

"No, some mortals are going to try and break in on the day Tia and I go to London. They will see us on the news and will try and break in whilst we aren't here so...have some fun with them" he grins.

"Why will you be on the news?" I ask curiously.

He shrugs. "I'll get bored and break into a bank or something. Tia won't mind, she'll join me" he smirks.

"Are you two going to be having sex?" I question him and he raises an eyebrow.

"Up to her. Don't tell her, but there's only one bed" he chuckles.

"Can we have a threesome?" I ask innocently, narrowly avoiding the pen he throws at my head.

"That was uncalled for" I sniff, and he rolls his eyes.

"Don't damage anything, will you?" he warns me.

"Can I bring a friend over?" I smile.

"Since when do you have friends?" he snickers, before shutting the door. I hear some mumbling-Tia must have woken up.

And that's how I was now creeping around Ridge's house with the son of his worst enemy. Deamon 1, Ridge 0.

"What shall we do?" I whisper.

Cisco's power was to make illusions to occur. He could make people see things that aren't really there, and manipulate people's minds into seeing things from their past. Mine was less impressive-I could read people's minds if they let me and sense emotions of people.

Boooooriiiiiiing.

"Let's just roll with it" Cisco mutters back, and we turn invisible as we hear mumbling around the corner.

"Are you sure this isn't a trap?"

"I don't know."

"He wouldn't leave his house unattended, so it's obviously a trap."

"Oh well, we're here now, let's just keep moving."

Drifting round a corner, we observe the five mortals from a distance.

I float down and gently tap the dwarf on his shoulder three times.

"OH GOD!" he yells, whirling round.

"Shhh!" the other four hiss.

"Someone just tapped my shoulder!" he protests back, no longer disguising his voice.

"It's just your imagination, come on, we have to keep moving!" the man in the waistcoat sighs, dragging his friend forward.

Cisco silently drifts towards the carpet and gives it a swift yank, making everyone shout in surprise and fall onto their butts.

"We have to get out of here!" Hannah urges them, and as they scramble to their feet, Cisco chooses that time to conjure up an illusion of Ridge stood in the doorway, a smirk on his face looking more evil than ever.

The group go pale, and begin to make excuses, and when they turn round to run, another Ridge illusion is behind them. They yell and spin round, the other Ridge now gone, and when they turn round again, THAT one is now gone, and then they turn round AGAIN and Ridge is back, only much, much closer.

Amongst their yelling and screaming of confusion, the scientist guy suddenly screams out "SHUT UP EVERYONE!"

They all go quiet, and the blonde begins to speak.

"They aren't real, they are illusions" he snaps, punching the air where Ridge is and the group gawks when his hand goes right through him and the illusion fades.

"Oh" the dwarf says awkwardly, and they laugh nervously, brushing their jackets and clothes clean of imaginery dust.

Criminals my butt.

"So come on-anything else we see here is an illusion."

As he says this, Cisco decides it was time to appear, only he had enhanced his appearance so he looked incredibly terrifying. So terrifying, in fact, that I may have flinched a little. Just a little twitch, nothing more. His green eyes matched his father's and everyone was scared of him, even me. Even Ridge, though he would never admit it. So seeing the prince with glowing green eyes made me think of the king, and it unnerved me.

"I suggest you leave now or face the consequences" he murmurs quietly, and they turn to face him.

"Who are you?" the man in the waistcoat demands, and Cisco's smile widens.

"You didn't honestly think Ridge was the only demigod did you?" I chip in, smirking widely as they turn to see me, blocking their exit.

"Go" Cisco hisses, pointing at the door. "Now."

Four of the group, the young girl who was trembling, the cute blonde, the man in the waistcoat and the dwarf, all nod numbly, dodging round me as I stare at them blankly, watching them leave. But the scientist stays.

"I'm not leaving until you tell me where Tia is" he snaps, his body trembling, but he was brave, I'd give him that. Stupid, but brave.

"Where she is and what she is currently doing..." Cue the amused glance from Cisco to me and I struggled to hold back my laughter. We both knew exactly what she was "doing" at the moment...

"...is none of your concern at the moment. However....I respect your courage and so I will tell you this..." Cisco leans forward, and his eyes appear to glow even more.

"She will not be the same person when she gets back from wherever she is now. You will see her again, but she will not be the same. Now go before I kill you and your little friends."

The scientist leaves with his friend without another word, and Cisco and I enjoy a lovely evening of replaying our confrontation on the CCTV cameras and getting heavily drunk with Ridge's secret supply of alcohol from his wine cellar.

Note: All Team Crafted stuff next chapter, maybe a bit more Tidgedog thrown in if you guys want it...of course you do, who doesn't? :D
