Chapter 2
"You should really consider going and getting a few shots Ms. Anderson."
I shrugged, "I'll be fine."
The nurse sighed as she wrapped up my arm. It burned.
"Do you have any aspirin?"
She nodded. "After I'm finished here I'll get you some aspirin and a drink."
I smiled, "Thank you."
I looked over at the knock in the doorway. Grayson stood there smiling.
"Conner wants you to go home... now."
I looked over at the nurse.
She nodded, "I think that would be good. Consider a doctor's appointment."
Grayson's smirk grew. I sighed. She tied off the bandage and got up.
"Should I carry you to the car?"
I flipped him off. She came back in the room with two aspirin and a small cup of water. She gave me a note excusing me from the rest of the day's classes.
In the car, Grayson kept looking at me.
"What?" I finally asked, annoyed.
"You don't look half bad in those shorts."
"Oh. My. God."
He chuckled, "What? I'm a guy. I have respect for nice looking ladies." I sighed. "So does Becky still think she's coming over?"
I groaned, "If Conner lets her."
"I doubt it."
I nodded, looking out the window, "I do too."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What, the fuck, were you thinking?" I looked down. "You know how careful you need to be around other people. You cannot over stress yourself and making a rival in school will cause you stress Casey."
"Nothing happened." I stated calmly.
He nodded, still angry, "If Grayson hadn't been there who knows what would have happened." I rolled my eyes. "I know you hate what I have asked of you two, but it's for your good." I looked away from him. "Casey. You need to start listening."
I started tapping my foot on the ground. "I do listen. I have done everything you've asked of me." He sighed, "I might not be happy about it, but I'm doing it."
"You tried to break up with him in front of a crowd."
I nodded, "I don't need him watching me like a hawk. I don't need a boyfriend to survive high school."
"With your virginity attached?"
I crossed my arms over my chest, my face flushing, "Why do you care about my virginity?"
"It's important." I rolled my eyes. "I'll explain it all to you later."
I rolled my eyes again, "I wish I didn't have to do this. I wish mom and dad were still alive. I wish I never had to come here with you." By the end I was yelling. His gaze narrowed. "I wish that you never got custody over me!" I screamed.
He slapped me hard.
I stayed on the ground, mostly in shock. I tasted the blood before I registered the pain. I'd never been hit as a punishment.
"Get up." I did. There were tears in my eyes. "You're going to bed without eating. Stay off your cell phone." I nodded. "And do not leave your room until I call for you."
I nodded and walked out.
I ran to my room to avoid the prolonged stares from the guys.
It was at midnight when my door opened. Eddie stood in the doorway. "Conner wants you in the living room." I nodded and got off my bed. I wasn't asleep yet, just watching TV.
I put my robe on and walked to the living room. Trevor, the only one stronger than my brother & his boss, sat on the 3 person couch at the opposite end of my brother. There was enough space for another person in between them.
"You called?"
Trevor patted the couch beside him. My eyes flickered to Conner. He nodded. I sat down in between them. Trevor grabbed me by my chin and made me look at him. He turned my cheek slightly and put my hair behind my ear with the other hand.
"You shouldn't have hit her so hard."
All I heard was a huff of air from Conner.
"You could have broken her jaw." He smirked. "Then what use will we get of her." I jerked away from him. "Ah. You haven't told her yet."
I looked at Conner. He shook his head.
"That's why I asked you to come down."
Trevor usually kept to his side of the house. Trevor and his girlfriend live there. She has no idea what he is. No one's allowed to tell until after they're married. I'm the only exception.
"Call down Grayson."
Eddie left the room to go get Grayson.
Conner took my hand, "We need you to not be so eager to leave your relationship with Grayson. We don't want it to just be to keep other guys away from you."
"You want us to be a real item?" Conner raised his eyebrow. Not time for me to talk. "Sorry."
"We want you and Grayson to have a real relationship."
Trevor nodded. Grayson and Mason were his sons. Grayson is his prodigy. I really didn't like where this was going.
"Just give it a shot."
Grayson came into the room, his hair messed up. "What?"
Trevor looked over at his oldest son, "You're going to try to have a real relationship with this girl."
He looked at me, then back at his father "And if it doesn't work out?"
"Then we'll try Mason or Carlos."
I didn't want to be tossed around from guy to guy.
I put my face in my hands after yanking my hand away from Conner.
"Fine." was all Grayson said.
"You're going to put a serious effort into this Grayson."
"Got it." he said before walking back to his room.
Trevor, "My sons will not have many attempts at having children. Only certain women can give birth to our kind." I sighed. "It's very complicated."
"If Grayson or Mason takes your virginity from you, they might have an opportunity to create life with you." I cringed. "Only women of whom they have taken the virginity from can have their sons." He shrugged, "And even then, it's not definite."
I shook my head, "What? Am I supposed to be some werewolf breeding factory?" I got up, "Am I supposed to just lie on my back and take it because I have to?"
Conner's eyes narrowed. "You'll do what we say."
I shook my head, "If I wasn't a virgin then all of this would just go away?"
Conner's jaw tightened. Trevor smirked, apparently amused by what he was seeing.
"You're not going to slut around."
"How are you supposed to stop me? You can't put me in a chastity belt."
Conner got up quickly, making me take very quick steps back.
"I'll take you to The City and not let you back here." My jaw dropped to say something clever, but nothing came out.
Trevor got off the couch and started walking back to his side of the house. Conner watched him leave.
"This is why you wanted me so badly. This is why you wouldn't let me live with our grandparents."
"They're both dead now."
"So? I could've lived with them! Maybe they still would have been alive!"
He shook his head. "Look Casey. You think I'm trying to set you for life. I'm not. You can do whatever you want once you turn 18. I know it’s coming quicker every day. The window for your innocence is closing. You're an opportunity for Trevor's line to continue. They're rich and powerful Casey." I crossed my arms over my chest. "You might like them if you give them a chance."
"I want to love the person. I don't want to because I have to. If that's the case then send him to my room now and let's get it over with." Conner looked away from me.
"You'll do as you're told Casey." He looked back at me. "You're stuck with us for the rest of your life, don't forget that."
I started walking to my room, "I don't need the constant reminder that I'll never be rid of you animals." I slapped my hand over my mouth and picked up my walking speed a bit.
I thought I was home free when I touched my door knob, but the hand on the back of my neck told me otherwise. Conner threw me onto my bed
"I'm not asking much from you Casey!"
"Yes you are!"
He shook his head, "You have an amazing opportunity handed to you on a silver platter."
"Amazing opportunity my ass!"
A slap.
I looked back at him, "This is what my life would be like. I'd just get beaten into submission every time!" He growled. "I don't want this amazing opportunity. I want to be normal!"
"That's just too bad!"
"I hate you!"
"Get used to it!" He slammed my door with too much force. The wall around it cracked slightly. I hugged my knees to my chest and cried.
10 minutes later, there was a light knock on my door.
"What?"
The door cracked open and Martin came in.
"How're you doin'?"
I shrugged, "What do you need?"
He shook his head, "Nothin. Just came to see if you're okay."
I nodded. "I'll be fine."
He nodded and sat next to me on my bed. He was about 6 years older than me.
"You can talk to me about it." I shook my head. "I know we've never been close or anything, but I'm a good listener."
We talked until my clock hit 3:00 am.
Then he ruined our innocent talk.
"You're so beautiful Casey."
I sighed and looked away from him.
"I mean it." He must have thought I was blushing. "What your brother and Trevor have planned for you is unfair."
"I think you should go."
He shook his head, "I'm simply being honest with you Casey."
He must have overheard what Trevor and Conner were saying to me. Now was his opportunity. How easy it would be for him to overpower me.
"I appreciate the talk. I really do. But I need to get some sleep."
He sighed. "Why do you have to push me away like this? I thought we were doing good."
I nodded. I was entering dangerous waters. "I just need to get some sleep before school tomorrow."
He leaned in close to me, breathing in deeply by my neck. My discomfort level rose to an all-time high. I started shaking.
"I think I should spend the night with you tonight." He looked me in my eyes. "What do you think?"
I was frozen. I wanted to shake my head and tell him no, but I couldn't move.
