AN- this is the first time I've ever written something quite like this (both part 1 and 2). It was a serious challenge but I took it on willingly.

BdoubleO POV-

When Ren asked me to come join him to stargaze, I'll say I was honestly confused. I've never hung out with Ren much but I figured that this would be the perfect opportunity to get to know him better. It was my goal to meet more people this season, especially since I joined so late in the last Hermitcraft world. Even so, I had spent almost no time with the wolf hybrid. Let's see if I can name off somethings about Ren Dog...

1) He's the log guy

2) He is super good at role playing

3) He can make some awesome builds. I really enjoyed the Western town he made

4) Has an odd obsession with a mooshroom.

5) Wears sunglasses

6) Extremely fit and not much taller than me

7) He's part wolf

8) I'd also say he's pretty dang...

It was at this point, that my boat beached itself on Ren's loser island. I quickly shook my head trying to clear my thoughts and I jumped out of the boat. As I dragged my vessel up higher in the sand so that the tide doesn't whisk it away, I admired the small area he built, ideas flooding into my head from his use of well planted trees to even out the tall structure he calls his base.

Just as I begin walking up to knock on his door, Ren comes rushing out and gives me a full hug. I had to plant my feet in the sand to avoid being knocked straight onto my back.

"Bdubs! You came! I was worried you wouldn't. The sun is almost set and... and..." he fades off and he's dog ears droop slightly on his head, his tail falling between his legs.

I chuckle. Yes, I was late. But I was here now, "Sorry my handsome friend. Let's go find a good spot for the stars though."

We chose the edge of Ren's dock, a blanket covering the rough wood. While setting up, Ren had collected a couple snacks and I had filled my arms up with extra blankets and pillows. We laid on the rough surface, listening to the lapping of the ocean against the dock and stared at the sky. Ren, leaning on his side, pointed out constellations and telling me stories about each one as his tail wagged behind him. Why Orion's belt was named such. The differences between Ursa Major and Minor. The charioteer of Auriga. I listened silently, enjoying his voice and excitement.

After a couple hours of the myths and legends of the stars, I began to feel sleepy. I usually went to bed much earlier and the cool night air and white noise created by the water was making it harder and harder to stay wake. I shifted myself right next to the dog hybrid, resting my head on his arm as he wrapped it around me. It felt safe. And I felt tired. I tried my hardest to listen to Ren, but the moment he told me it was okay to fall asleep, I did almost instantly...

But the rain started. As the heavy droplets pattered on my exposed face, I shifted, turning into Ren, not ready to wake up. It was probably early morning at this point. Ren slowly rolled me back, "We should probably get up before the rain gets worse..." Then it poured.

It was exactly like the movies. Ren and I were immediately soaked as we sat up quickly. I scooped up the blankets and made a beeline for his base, the warm interior immediately causing me to shiver from my, previously unfelt, damp coldness. I dump the sopping items in the corner of Ren's house and turn to see, through the door way, Ren playing and splashing in the puddles already forming outside.

Having been awakened so roughly, I was no longer sleepy and figured that I would be fun to join the other hermit.

I ran out the door and jumped into a nearby puddle, spraying extra water on Ren and I.

"Oh, it's on Bdubs."

We ran around his island, spraying water at each other and otherwise, just getting soaked in the rain. I felt like a little kid again, happy and carefree. Then I was on the ground. Ren had tackled me into the wet beach. I rolled to my back laughing hysterically as Ren crawled up my body from where he lay in at my feet. He was straddling me, sand coating his hair as rain dripped down his jaw line. My breathing became increasingly ragged and I ached to kiss him, right there. Did I really feel this way about Ren? He was fun and caring and hot. Oh gosh he was hot. My heart flutters as I drag myself back to the present and I notice Ren begin to lead down into me.

I reach a hand up, ruffling his soaking hair, sand falling into my mouth and I awkwardly spit it out. My hand stays at his head, feeling his wolf ears and then tracing down his jaw. He leans into me more, closing the gap and kisses me. Rain is still soaking us as Ren leans on me, his hands placed in the sand beside my head. My hand stays at his cheek, as my other instinctively grips his hips, pulling him closer to me. He's gentle but soon he deepening the kiss as I try to gasp for air, his tongue sliding into my mouth. He pulls away as I pant, rain water dripping off his face.

"You're mouth's full of sand." He smirks at me, sitting up but still straddling me. The rain hits me in the face full force once again and I flinch, still breathing heavily. My hand that had been caressing Ren's face comes up to block the droplets from hitting my eyes, my other hand, still around him, can feel his tail moving back and forth quickly. I can see his chest heavying as he completely sits on me, blocking all my movement sideways.

"No duh smarty. We're lying on the beach in the middle of a summer rain storm." I begin trying to spit more sand out of my mouth as he cocks his head, his ears flattening against the top of his head and his tail freezing mid motion as he pouts lightly.

"I think that was more than 'lying'." He looks kind of defeated as he begins to shift to get off of me.

"Hey. Nuh uh. You're not going anywhere." My grip around his hips tightens as he gasps slightly, "I'm already covered in sand. I'm soaking wet; rain is falling on my face. I am freezing cold. And you are really warm and can easily block the rain from hitting my face."

Ren's face went pink, whether from the cold, wet night air, or the fact that I'm implying that we should make out again, I didn't care. What I did care about was the feeling and warmth of Ren as he leaned back down to gently kiss me again. My brain soars at the taste of him and I feel like I'm in the clouds. This time, I deepen it as I grasp his hair in my hand and pull him closer, lightly tugging at the knots, ignoring the falling sand, and scratching around his sensitive wolf ears. He shudders at the pets and I continue as he grasps my face in both his hands. He releases the kiss, and peppers my jaw with light kisses. Working down my neck, I feel his sharp canine teeth dig gently into my skin as he gives me a couple hickies as I giggle. He pulls back, looking straight into my eyes. His are so bright and green, his pupils dilated completely in the darkness.

"Why don't we go inside and warm up? I don't want you to be catching a cold just after I've made you my boyfriend."

Boyfriend. I like the sound of that.

Ren has just shifted off of me, sitting beside me, and helps me sit up. We stand up together, stumbling a bit in the wet, sticky sand. I still feel high and I lean heavily on Ren and we giggle and he whispers sweet nothings to me.

Once inside his base, I begin shivering heavily. A pool of water quickly forms around the two of us as Ren collects a couple towels, wrapping one around me, then one around himself while hugging me. "We need to get out of these wet clothes." If I wasn't shivering so harshly, I think I would have tensed up. Did he mean? Right now? Already? Ren must have sensed my discomfort and realized what he said because he quickly pulled away, "That was not what I meant. Oh man. I'm so sorry."

I just start giggling again, shaking more than I was before as Ren turns towards a nearby chest embarrassed. After he dug in it for a minute, he stands up holding a dark grey hoodie and a pair of purple sweats. Answering my confused look, he told me that the sweats were from his hippie days, "I think you'd look good in purple B."

I flush as the small nickname and grab the clothes, retreating to a secluded spot of his base and peeled off the wet clothes. Ren's clothes were warm and a little bit too big but I didn't mind, they smelled like him.

Once I returned to the main room, Ren had mostly cleaned up the puddles we had made and he had started a small fire in the furnace nearby. He saw me enter and I came and took my damp clothes, hanging them up on a line to dry with the blankets we had originally taken out. I wander over to stand by the furnace when I feel my new boyfriend (I'm gonna have to get used to thinking that) wrap a dry blanket around my shoulders and I watch as he goes to where I had changed. He quickly comes out in a t-shirt and shorts and hangs up his wet clothes.

I smile at him as he walks over, taking the blanket off my shoulders, throwing it around himself then encircles me with his arm. He's not much taller than me so he rests his head on my shoulder. I can feel his breath on my cheek as we enjoy the warmth of the fire, listening to each other breathe.

We stood in this same spot, neither of us speaking or moving, until I was no longer shivering. Ren began to lead me to his bed and so I crawled under the blanket with Ren in front of me. I had my head against his chest as I breathed in his scent. I didn't want to sleep. I have already screwed my perfect sleep schedule; I just don't want to the moment to disappear.

"Bdubs," Ren had begun to gently shift away from me and I looked up at him pouting. "Awe, don't look at me like that. Just look outside."

Sitting up sleepily, I look out the window to a cloudy sunrise. The rain had ended at some point and a small rainbow highlighted the orange sky, "It's beautiful."

"No more beautiful that you."

I blush at Ren's comment and lean in to kiss himagain. This time is was sweet and Ren smiles into it. He pulled away, pullingme back into his bed where we both immediately fell asleep.
