Tolerance
Y/N's POV:
When I called for Sans, one, last, time, I lost all hope, and I felt depressed. Sure, he could be in his room or passed out somewhere or using the restroom, but this just made me feel really fragile. I started to cry, and feel anxiety for Sans.
Where could he be?
Is he alright?
Did he get killed too?!
All these emotions were tumbling out of my eyes, and all I could do is just say there nearby the table with the book, and not do anything really useful or helpful for the situation.
I sniffed, and I rubbed my eyes. I decided to go out there. I know it was very risky, but if it meant finding Sans...
Then I would die trying to find him.
I swung open the door, (after I searched the house) and I was fighting the cold wind. I didn't have good clothes, since I was still wearing the same clothes for a while, and I also didn't find anything warm, but...
I went back inside and into Sans's room. Inside his drawer, he has a black jacket, or actually, 5, black jackets, and I took one of them. I instantly smelled mustard and I started to tear up for missing Sans. I wiped my eyes clean and I went downstairs, slowly, but surely. I then went back outside and I felt more warm, but my legs were still cold, along with my feet. I then waddled to a certain direction, which happened to lead me out of Snowdin after a long time. I then found a cave.
Inside was a pathway towards a clearing with glowing flowers, that seemed to fill this empty, dusty, place with words. I wonder how that works. Or maybe that's just my imagination. Anyways, I passed by a station, and I saw mustard. I guess this is another hotdog station. I brushed some dust that was left on there, and I walked a certain path and I then ended up at a place that was... super hot.
I started sweating, and I took off Sans's jacket and wrapped it around my waist. I continued down the path, but first saw yet another hotdog station. I saw some mustard bottles, and I ate some. A cooler was up ahead and I grabbed a glass, but then realized that the water evaporated even before it could touch my lips. I then continued on down the path, and I saw a lab, but it was locked. There was also an icecream stand, but it was dusty and empty. I was saddened by the loss of the monsters, but I continued on the path, and I was slowly loosing my hope to see Sans again.
I am actually starting to give up.
What if he's already dead?
What if he thought I did all of this?
Surely he wouldn't...
Would he?!
I rid my head of the thought, and I went to the path, and eventually got to a whole advanced and technological part of the underground. I then trekked that after a while... I even got a tad lost at one point, but I made it through. I then got to a colorless home. I explored the place, and I saw the yellow flowers which were the only thing that brightened up the place. I also found some coffins... but they seemed... occupied. Except for one with a red heart on it. I then left, after feeling very creeped out, and I then made it to what looked like, the throne room. It was slightly torn, but I then heard a song that for some reason, reminded me of Sans.
I followed the source of the sound, and I then saw Sans and a crazy looking human there with dust littering them, and they held a knife. They caught sight of me, which alerted Sans for me to move, but I didn't move fast enough...
"See Sansy? I DIDN'T kill her. BUT I instead stabbed her just right now! See? It seems like you didn't, know everything like you are used to feeling! Ha!" I heard the human speak in a bratty voice. I held my stomach, and just looked at Sans in pain and shock. He seemed as shocked as me, and this amused the human.
"Hehehe! You two seemed quite surprised. SURPRISE!" The human all of a sudden threw her knife at Sans, who just barely, missed it. His jacket got ripped.
"You need to always be aware Sansy! That's always your downfall! So predictable..." The human then pulled out another knife. "Say good bye to your love." She seemed to addressed it to both of us, because she pointed the knife to my neck and Sans every other second.
"So, Sansy. If you move, then she'll go bye bye!. But if you don't move, then you'll get killed." Sans looked to be very indecisive, and in a second, he made up his mind, and he stood his ground. I screamed at him, to move, but he just smiled at me, with tears in his eyesockets.
"Sorry my love." He got hit with the knife.
"I'll love ya till I die." He then started to fade away. I screamed, NO!!!! but the human who was holding me, just tsked at me and Sans, and walked of to the next room.
"You two are stupid." They muttered, then they went off to the next room, out of my sight. I then scooted over towards Sans, and he just looked at me, with love, somehow still in his eyes.
"Y-Y/N... I'm... So-" I cut him off with my finger.
"Don't be sorry!" I blubbered. "I should be! I was such a burden to you! I should have never been born!" I then cried, but then I felt arms around me.
"Don't say that." I felt hot tears on my shoulder. "You were no burden to me, but instead, a light." He turned my head, and looked at me. "I love ya." He kissed me, and before I could react, he turned to dust. I felt his arms gone, and instead clinging onto the cloth of the jacket I am wearing. I then see Sans's dust, and his jacket, and his shaking soul.
I reach out to touch it, and then I felt it become apart of me. I felt all the sweet memories, and also memories that were not mine. I felt another presence in me, and I realized it was Sans after smelling the mustard on him.
"Sans!" I cried.
"Y/N? Is... Is that you?" I heard Sans's voice call out to mine.
"YES YES! I am here! Sans! My love, my only thing keeping me alive..." I felt so much passion in my voice.
"I... I don't believe it. Is it really you?" I sniffed.
"Yes!" I cried again. "I am here! I love you Sans! We need to defeat that human!" I started to walk, but I seemed to only move half the body.
"Wait I didn't do that..." I tried to walk, but I fell over.
"OWW!" We both yelled. We got up, but both of us pushed off the ground at different times, so it was off sync, and made us almost trip again.
"So I am... controlling half?" Sans questioned.
"Uh... Yeah." I then moved our foot forward, and he did to. Soon enough we managed to walk forward, and we made it to where the human passed.
"Grr...." I heard Sans growl, and also our left eye feel heated.
"S-Sans?! What's wrong with our eye?!" I started to panic.
"I am using my magic. This is normal." We then walked off, and I felt our soul start to fizzle out of existence.
"Do you feel that Sans?" I asked.
"Yeah... We're fading. We better catch them before- OH NO ASGORE'S DEAD!" We ran over to where the barrier was at, and also the now dead King Asgore. We see the human there, and she grins at us.
"I see the couple is back huh? Well I just opened the barrier. Tata!" She throws another knife at us, but we dodge it in time. "W-What?! How'd you-"
"GET DUNKED ON!!" I heard Sans say, then he summoned lots of bones and impaled the human with it. It was gruesome to watch, but I still held firm as I felt ourselves fading away.
"HA! I *huff* am, *huff* still alive! You guys are fading! You two don't belong! What unfair love you have! *huff* How did you do that?!" The human interrogated us.
"It's called..." I felt that we were about to disappear as Sans spoke his sentence and I finished it for him.
"Tolerance." We then faded away from existence, and our soul shattered.
"WHAT?! TOLERANCE? HOW?!" The human stomped her foot. "HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!" She stomped our blood mixed with dust.
"I can't see how someone would just be, tolerant, to people. Either you don't like them, or you like them. How can you be in between or to keep on liking someone, after all they did?!" The human kicked a rock out into the surface, since the barrier shattered.
"How?" She questioned.
Then, she saw the steep mountain, and fell...
Tolerance: the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular to the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.
The end.
