"How did you let those little hero brats get away?!" Shigaraki slammed his fist down on the bar counter, ratting glasses. Deku was not startled by the outburst at all. It wasn't unusual for him to loose his temper when it came to Izuku.
Izuku merely rolled his eyes. "You said I couldn't kill them, So I stopped myself."
"I NEVER SAID THAT!" The man yelled. Izuku bit back a laugh, knowing very that the hand man had never said that.
"You didn't? Hm, must have been lost in translation." Midoriya felt the grin grow on his cheeks, and Shigaraki saw it too. The man brought his hand forward and hit the boy hard on the cheek, making sure one finger didn't touch. Izuku stumbled backwards, holding his cheek.
"Ow Shiga-San! What was that-"
"Shut up you stupid little bitch!" Shigraki growled. Izuku scrunched up his face befre mumbling,
"I'm not a girl or a dog."
"What was that?!" Tomura snapped, stepping towards the boy again.
Izuku waved his hands rapidly and smiled. "Nothing, nothing Shiga-San! You must be hearing things again!" His eyes twinkled with delight making Shigraki clench his fists in rage.
"Tomura, calm yourself for god sake. He's a kid." Kurogiri said from behind the bar. Izuku looked at the mist villain and said,
"But Kuro, I'm eighte-"
"Shut up idiot." The purple villain hissed, finally shutting Deku up.
"I can't stand him..." Tomura grumbled collapsing at the bar.
"I can't stand me either." Midoriya piped up with his arms folded behind his back. Thankfully for him, he wasn't smiling, or Tomura just may have ripped his throat off.
Shigaraki rubbed his temples and groaned.
"I'm going to bed. Dabi and Toga are coming to report tomorrow, so maybe I can convince them to take that with them for a while."
"Aw but won't you miss-"
A glass shattered right next to Izuku's head making him flinch but not jump.
"Shut the fuck up would you?"Kurogiri made gestures with his misty hands as he hissed at the green haired boy. Tomura snorted and then stomped up the stairs.
Izuku shrugged and then slumped down on a bar stool, removing his black gloves.
"I don't understand why Shiga-San hates me so much." He sighs.
"Maybe because you're an asshole." Kurogiri suggested.
"Well it's his fault." Izuku snarled bitterly. Kurogiri froze and let his yellow eyes really look at the boy, staying silent.
"Deku, Would you go back to your old life if you could?" The misty man asked softly.
"I-" Izuku began but then stopped, rethinking his words. "I don't know."
"Let me ask this differently: Could you return to your old life if allowed?"
"No. I'd never be accepted back." A new emotion shown in Izuku's voice, one that Kurogiri had never heard from the boy. It was faint but still there.
"Do you wish you could go back to it?"
Izuku stayed silent, his face contorted with concentration.
He took a deep breath before opening his mouth to speak. He paused and no words came out, Then his head snapped up and he looked at Kurogiri.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" He stood up abruptly and began walking towards the stairs. "I'm one of the youngest of our kind, and I will become one of the most notorious villain in the world. I'm this close Kurogiri!"
He began stepping up the stairs.
"I'm 18 and I have a kill count for fuck sake!" He laughed softly before letting his expression grow grim.
"The world will know the name Deku. They WILL tremble at the very mention of my name, the entire world will pay! If I can't be happy then NO ONE WILL!" His voice was strong and bold, projecting with vigor and anger.
"You really think I'd give all of this up?" His voice was almost silent, but Kurogiri still heard him.
The green haired boy was poisoned with pride and blinded by bitterness.

"Oi! Todoroki! How'd your first patrol go? Bakugo and Kirishima already came in and totally blew us off!" Denki Kaminari came bounding up to shoto waving his arm excitedely. In the room sat Mina, Sero, and Jiro.
"The patrol?" Todoroki repeated dumbly. So Bakugo didn't tell them...
Denki smiled. "Yeah! Did you fight some villains? Oh man I bet it was super-"
Lie.
"It was actually really boring. We just walked around for a few hours. Not any villain activity surprisingly." Shoto shrugged as the lie slipped out so easily.
Denki's face fell.
"Oh. That's to bad. Maybe another night you'll have an exciting story to tell, Yeah?"
"Sure. We'll see." Shoto pushed past the yellow haired boy and down the hall to Bakugo's room.
He paused at the door and knocked softly.
"Get in here Icy-hot." Bakugo growled form the other side of the door. Shoto pushed it open and entered.
Kirishima sat on the bed with out a shirt on and with bandages wrapped around his abdomen, while Bakugo sat on a swivel chair on the other side of the room.
"What?" The blonde snapped.
"You aren't going to recovery girl?" Shoto asked.
"And tell her what dumb ass? That he fell on a sharp rock?" Bakugo rolled his eye "Obviously fucking not."
"I'm fine anyway. It stopped bleeding." Kirishima assured Shoto. The bandages were stained a dark crimson and his body shook slightly. "Just gonna have to have a nasty scar is all."
Shoto nodded his head and the room went silent. "So now what? We don't tell anyone?"
"If you tell anyone we saw Deku, I'm telling everyone you let him get away you bastard. Of course we're not telling anyone." Katsuki snapped in irritation.
"Okay so that's it then? We just-"
"No we don't just anything. We're going to find him and we need your help." Kirishima interrupted.
"KIRISHIMA!" Bakugo yelled.
"Oh shut up! You and I both know that we can't do anything without Todoroki's help-"
"He'll let him get away again!"
"No I won't!" Shoto raised his voice slightly. "I didn't let hi get away just like Kirishima didn't let him stab him! But do you blame Kirishima for getting stabbed? Of course not! Because it wasn't his fucking fault!"
Katsuki and Eijiro both went silent and looked at Shoto with surprise. Katsuki made a 'tch' noise and then looked away, earning an angry face from Eijiro.
"Fine, whatever. Tag along if you want, but just so you know, we're bringing Midoriya home no matter what, got it?"
"Got it." Todoroki nodded curtly. "When do we continue?"
"Tomorrow. We have no class for the rest of the week due to the project, so it's perfect. We have to let tweedle dumb over here get some sleep before he passes out." Bakugo jerked his thumb at Kirishima who responded with sticking out his tongue, earning Bakugo's middle finger. Shoto ignored them and nodded his head.
"Got it."
"First step is figuring out all we can about a green haired boy. Did he tell you anything useful?" Kirishima asked.
"well..." Shoto began.
Two pairs of red eyes stared at him, one twinkling with determination and the other looking lost.
If this was really going to work then... They had to get on the same page.
He wanted to bring Izuku home, but it was just... difficult.
What if this was a waste of time?
Would he even want to come home?
It was all a gamble and Todoroki hated gambling, especially when it involved fate. He was about to say no when he remembered what he was fighting for.
The once happy green haired boy, who was dead to everyone for 3 years.
This is what made him stop himself from giving up. He would find Izuku Midoriya if it was the last thing he did.
Something lit behind his eyes and he looked into the eyes of both the waiting boys and said the thing that could ultimately lead them to Izuku Midoriya.
"He told me his kill count."
