"Are those her only clothes?" (Y/n) asked Enid as they watched the little girl chase after a scared Thing.

"The only ones that aren't ripped up" Enid replied as she glanced up at her friend. "I was kinda thinking maybe we could take Wednesdays credit card and go buy her some stuff? Please?"

"Yeah of course" (y/n) replied as he looked towards Wednesday who was just sipping her coffee as she filed their taxes at the coffee table. "Wednesday?"

Wednesday shook her head. "In my wallet" she spoke as she pointed towards their bedroom without looking up.

(Y/n) nodded before looking to the kid right as she finally caught thing and laughed. "Get your shoes on sweetheart, we're going out" she quickly looked up at the boy and snarled. "Now" he spoke firmly causing her to glare but let go of Thing.

"I don't think she likes it here" Enid spoke as (y/n) looked through clothes for the little girl. Said girl was glaring at the speakers which were playing peppy pop music.

"Neither do I" the boy replied with a shrug before snapping his fingers which caused the child to look to him. "Want to try this on?" He asked as he showed her the hoodie he was holding.

She shook her head.

"Do you want anything here?" He asked as he motioned around the store.

The girl stared at him for one more second before speaking quietly in a Texan accent. "Anything?"

"She speaks!" Enid clapped her hands causing (y/n) to almost laugh but hold it back.

"And she's a Texan" (y/n) nodded in approval. Sure sweety. Anything" (y/n) replied, still shocked that she spoke.

The kid smiled widely before running towards the section of the store with the more expensive clothing. "Of course that's where she's going" Enid smiled, happy to see the kid finally being semi-normal.

"Thank god for Addams money" was all (y/n) replied with as he looked to Enid before whispering his next words. "Also I was under the impression that the kid was a mute"

"Me too!" Enid whisper yelled back before the two followed the girl.

When they got to the girl she was trying on a paw print necklace. "Alright, that looks nice but I was kinda hoping for you to choose more real clothing"

The girl frowned and looked at her current clothes. She looked up again and shook her head.

"You can't just have one non-ripped dress and have that be it" (y/n) replied as he crossed his arms.

The child snarled but walked over to a mannequin that had a pink dress on it. She pointed to it.

"Pink?" (Y/n) asked, not having expected it from this girl. The girl frowned, thinking that meant he was gonna go back on his word. "Sure. Go grab one from the rack"

The girl frowned even more, wondering why the boy was buying her stuff but she did as he said.

(Y/n) watched as she did this, now that he knew she could talk he decided to ask once again. "Will you tell me your name sweetheart?"

The girl looked back at him after grabbing the dress. She stared at him for a moment before glancing at Enid and then back at the boy. They waited patiently until she finally spoke again. "Melissa" she spoke so quietly it was almost a whisper.

"That's a beautiful name Melissa" (y/n) spoke as he got on his knee so as to be at eye level with her.

"I don't like it!" she shook her head quickly causing the boy to frown. "It reminds me of Daddy"

"Alright" (y/n) nodded, understanding. "I had a bad Mommy so I get it" the girl stopped shaking her head. "How about I call you Missy?"

The girl seemed to consider this for a moment before nodding slowly.

Throughout this conversation Enid had wisely decided to keep her mouth shut so the siblings could bond.

"Well alright then Missy" (y/n) nodded as he got back up. "How about we go pay for this dress?"

Missy nodded once again before grabbing one more shirt and one more pair of pants, then quickly made her way to the cash register.

"You're making a good dad" Enid smirked as she nudged her friend with her elbow.

"I'm her brother Enid" (y/n) shook his head.

"In your situation there's a blurry line between father and brother" the two quickly jumped at the sound of Wednesdays voice and turned to see her standing right behind them. "The longer you're exposed to this child the more you move towards father"

"I thought you were doing our taxes?" (Y/n) asked as they arrived at the cash register and he gave Wednesday's card to the cashier.

"I finished" Wednesday replied simply. She noticed the pink dress, her nose scrunched up but she didn't say a word. Missy seemed to notice her expression which caused her to giggle evilly.

"And just in time to prove my point too!" Enid smiled as she put an arm around Wednesday. "Thanks bestie"

Wednesday took a deep breath as she glared at Enid who slowly removed her arm. Wednesday released the breath and turned back towards her boyfriend. "Did you find everything she requires?"

"Well we found some stuff" (y/n) replied with a shrug. "I doubt it's everything"

"It's two outfits. That's not everything" Enid confirmed as the cashier handed the credit card back and Wednesday took it.

(Y/n) took the paper bags the clothes were put in  and the group began to walk towards the exit, Missy sticking close to (y/n) as she had on the way to the store, she seemed to be afraid of the strangers on the street.
