Taylor's POV

I stood there speechless for a few minutes.

No way was any of that true...

"Prove it." I shrugged.

Jacob gave a chuckle of disbelief and shook his head.

He then pulled out his phone.

He dialed a number and waited for them to pick up.

My turn to chuckle.

What was he going to do? Just hand over the phone?

"Hi Uncle Brian. Just calling to ask if I can have Matty and his girlfriend stay for dinner tonight." There was a pause as the 'Uncle Brian' spoke. "Thanks.  And i'm fine. Just stupid jerks who have nothing better to do with there time. Thanks for this. Bye."

Jacob hung up the phone and gave a small smirk.

"Might wanna give your parents a call. You're not going to be eating with them tonight. That Uncle Brian? Yeah. That's Synyster Gates. My sister and I are living with him and his wife now." He told me.

I looked to Matty for some sort of confirmation.

"I'm not sure about everything else, but yes, Andy and Ray Biersack adopted him. He didn't want to tell you because he knew you were a fan and didn't want that to make an impact on your friendship." He told me.

"Makes sense I guess. And now we know why you haven't spoken to us or anything recently. I'm really sorry about your mom, Jake. I loved her. She seemed so nice to BVB's fans." I sighed, walking over to Jake to give him a hug.

He accepted and nodded, sniffing into my shoulder as I hugged his neck.

"We're always here for you man. You know that." Matty told him, I could hear the sympathetic smile in his voice.

Jacob's POV

The day went by slow as hell, but when the bell went, signalling the end of the day, I was reasonably happy.

Or as happy as I could be...

I met Taylor and Matty in the courtyard and we made our way out of the school gates where I saw Brian's SUV parked further down the street.

"Are you ready to meet Synyster Gates?" I asked mainly Taylor, but Matty also as he'd only met Andy and my mother.

"Is that even a question? Let's go!" Taylor beamed.

I gave a humorless chuckle and led them to the car.

Brian rolled down his window to reveal him in his mirrored Aviators and black beanie.

"Hey Uncle Brian. This is Taylor and Matty." I introduced them.

I looked to Taylor who couldn't stop grinning.

"Oh my God it's true. You're Synyster Gates! Oh my God Jake!!!" She hugged me round the neck tightly.

"Hey guys. Hop in." Brian smiled, pointing a thumb to the back seats of the SUV.

Matty and Taylor got in there and I got in the front seat.

The drive was spent talking about Avenged Sevenfold and how I knew them etc.

It was all quite overwhelming really... Taylor was the first girl I'd introduced to any of my family and she was being the biggest fangirl out there...

But she got used to it and Brian seemed to like her.

When we got back to the house, Taylor hugged me again continuously until we got to the front door.

The 'fun' had only just begun...
