Andy's POV

We got out of the car as quickly as possible when we reached the hospital,  Ray ran in ahead of me and signed Amelia in.

A doctor came rushing over immediately after Ray had called it for someone to help and a few nurses also came over with a child's gurney.

Amelia laid in the gurney as Ray explained what had happened.

I on the other hand, was still trying to convince Jacob that it was an accident and not his fault.

He'd always had this issue... If something happened and he was within 100ft of it,  he would blame himself.

No stopping him or changing his mind...

We waited for about an hour...

"Amelia Biersack?" A middle aged woman with a clip board called out.

We stood up immediately and jogged over to her.

"Follow me please." Was all she said.

We followed the woman in silence,  not knowing what she would tell us or where we were even going.

We stopped outside a room with a large window in the front wall next to the door. The blinds were closed...

"Your daughter is in here." She said,  motioning toward the door. "She's very weak and still not awake, but she will pull through and she should be fine."

Ray sighed in relief and slapped her hand to her chest.

"Thank God." She breathed.

I gave the woman a small smile and wrapped my arm around Ray's shoulders,  holding her tightly.

"Can we go in?" Jacob asked in a small voice.

The woman poked a finger in the air and went to knock on Amelia's door.

She opened it and mumbled inaudibly to someone in the room.

She opened the door fully and allowed us to go in.

Amelia looked so tiny in the bed all by herself.

Ray ran to the bedside and held or little girl's hand tightly, sobbing into her soft skin.

I approached my wife and rubbed her back soothingly.

We at there for as long as possible before we agreed on Jacob and I going home for some sleep.

Ray refused to leave and I didn't blame her in the sightest.

With some luck, we would find out how Amelia would be...
