"That's it! I need a rundown of family members now!"

The others gulped as they looked at my annoyed form. I stood confidently on top of the bed with my arms crossed and foot tapping in annoyance. It was my best idea to get the upper hand as they stood below me surrounding the bed.

Prior to this current event, breakfast was a bit of a distress.

❀♡❀

Everyone had congregated in a huge dining hall and mainly the older adults briefly spoke across the table. I was surprised when they didn't really talk to me or the boys much as the conversation was very light. Breakfast was mainly silent and it made me think about how little I know about their families.

I could glance around all I want and notice the similarities, but Yoongi's comment ran through my mind and made me wonder just what the fuck these people do.

The worst part is I had a feeling some of them didn't like me, evidenced by the side-glances and observant peeks. It made me very uncomfortable and caused me to internally fret over my posture and actions.

I just didn't know how to act. It was terrifying to meet these people and not be able to know them at all. I haven't even been able to properly meet any of them and that had me worried.

After breakfast, most everyone was excused to their rooms and Namjoon's mother announced a chat for the ladies at noon.

That includes me and I was deathly terrified.

So this called for immediate action.

"Love-bug, get down from their before you hur-"

I chucked a pillow at Jimin's face in retaliation as I stomped my foot.

"Don't you pet name me, mister. You guys have told me nothing and do you understand my inner turmoil?"

"Quite frankly, we all could feel the stress radiating from yo-"

A pillow to Namjoon's face effectively shut him up.

"Obviously. We are in a mansion for Pete's sake! Christmas is in four days and I'm losing my damn marbles."

"What marbles?"

I shoved a pillow at Jungkook's face but he dodged it and shot me a cocky grin.

"You twerp."

"Listen, we're sorry we haven't been able to tell you much but we didn't want to overwhelm you. It's a lot to take in if you knew about our families and we didn't want to scare you too badly."

"I think withholding this information from me is bad enough, Jin."

"Why don't we all just calm down and talk about this in a peaceful manner."

"Don't make me smack you with this pillow, Kim Taehyung."

He automatically threw his hands up and backed away while whispering, "Why the fuck does that bed have so many pillows. She has too much ammo."

"Explain."

"Okay, I'll start since this is my parent's estate. They are CEO's of Kim Enterprise which is a large technology based company. They are quite successful, I suppose."

My face paled as I recognized the brand but never once correlated it between Namjoon nor his family. That alone was a lot of news but then I noticed Jimin tentatively step forward with a sheepish grin.

"D-does Park Enterprise ring a bell?"

"What the actual f- are you kidding me? You understand how many Kim's and Park's there are in the world? Yet, here you two are, those rich heirs that everyone praises?"

They slightly winced at my astonished tone while I simply couldn't believe it.

"Are you all from famous families too?"

"Not exactly, but I should explain that my parents are sort of well known..."

I cast a terrifying glare towards Taehyung as he avoided my eye.

"Both of them are pretty illustrious models. They often go out of the country as well."

"Sort of well-known? How are super-models 'sort of well-known'?"

"I mean, you didn't seem to have recognized them."

"I guess I've been living under a rock because I certainly never expected any of this. Jungkook, how about you?"

Jungkook's face heated up as he let out a small whistled tune. It didn't take him long to fess up though.

"M-my dad's the only one here tonight. He's a director but he's not too renowned. It's just little films here and there. I don't really want to talk about my mom, if that's okay."

"Me two."

"Me three."

I caught both Hoseok and Yoongi's eyes as they looked a bit hesitant to open up. I let out a slight nod and a low exhale while pinching the bridge of my nose to calm my breathing.

"I understand. Sorry to force you guys to talk. I just feel so scared and overwhelmed to meet these people."

"We can't blame you. We were terrified to meet your parents and that doesn't even compare to meeting all these people. We just thought it would've been better to tell you after you met them so you wouldn't be stressed before."

I sighed as Hoseok slowly brought a hand up to guide me to sit next to him on the bed.

"My sister's the only one attending tonight. She runs her own little online fashion shop and she's loving it. She mentioned that she thought you'd make a great model."

My pout instantly scrunched up as my face heated up in response. Slightly shoving Hoseok, he playfully leaned back in and lightly bumped me back.

"I'm not joking. She'll definitely help you through this girl's meeting or whatever it is. Every year Namjoon's mother does this. Dawon reports that it's often Jimin's, Taehyung's, and Namjoon's mother discussing business and gossip while Dawon and Jin's grandmother share baking secrets. Sounds like a blast, huh?"

I didn't even get a chance to respond before Jin cut in.

"Oh you mentioned my grandmother! Yes, everyone calls my grandparents grandma and grandpa. Even their parents."

Jin gestured to each of the boys as they all nodded in agreement.

"They own a little pastry shop in our hometown and I learned all of my cooking skills from them! They are so sweet and they asked so many questions about you. Just know that grandma is going to overload your brain once she gets the chance to talk to you."

I let out a nervous chuckle as Jin's eyes sparkled and he leaned close with a beam. I gulped before shakily smiling.

"They looked lovely. I can't wait to speak with them as well."

He returned my smile as Namjoon stepped close and held one of my hands while he held his other behind him. Before I could ask why, he spoke.

"Have you calmed down enough to not attack us with pillows?"

Tentatively nodding and furrowing my eyebrows as his eyes lit up mischievously, I realized a second too late about what was about to go down.

Apparently my reflexes couldn't save me from the onslaught of pillows thrown my way from all directions.

❀♡❀

"You'll be fine. Just be calm. You got this."

Jin's calm voice slightly soothed me as he massaged my shoulders in an attempt to calm my tense nerves.

"Remember, you're that bitch that is referenced when they say 'bitches be out here simping for their in-laws'. Who's that bitch? Are you that bitch?"

Jin and I abruptly stopped walking and shot Jimin a blank yet disappointed stare. The latter sheepishly grinned as he daintily lifted both hands in surrender.

"Too far?"

I let out a low huff before muttering, "Yeah, you know what. I am that bitch."

"You're what?"

"I'm that bitch."

"Can't hear you~"

"I'm that bitch!"

"Sing it louder for the people in the back!"

"I'm that bi-"

Jin slapped a hand over my mouth and I instantly paled as I turned and saw that we were standing in front of the parlor. All the women looked at me with looks ranging from amused to absolutely horrified.

I instantly shoved Jin's hand off and bowed deeply.

"I'm so sorry."

It was a tense few moments of silence before I felt Jin pat my back as a signal to straighten up. Doing so I looked up and noticed him bite his lip in an attempt to hold in his laughter which I'm sure he'll express later when telling the others.

"We'll leave you to it. See you soon, darling. Please be aware of your actions and words in our absence."

Shooting Jimin a glare, both men turned and walked away while giggling and whispering to each other.

I watched them turn a corner and leave my sight before slowly tilting my head back to face my doom.

All the females were dressed in casually-formal attire and I felt a bit underdressed with my soft sweater and jeans.

"Please come in. Make yourself comfortable."

I recognized Namjoon's mother as the one who spoke and gestured for me to enter. Hesitantly stepping in, I glanced over at the many spots I could take. It appears Hoseok's statement earlier was correct as the three mothers were grouped together on one couch while Seokjin's grandmother and Dawon sat on the couch opposite them.

"Come sit next to me."

Dawon was officially my savior.

I mentally thanked her as I padded closer and gingerly sat on the remaining corner of the couch she siddled from.

My posture was rigid and stiff as everyone stared and observed me. I didn't have it in me to speak first so I began to try to control my breathing and quickened heart rate.

This was terrifying.

"Do you mind me asking what you were saying earlier, dear?"

Seokjin's grandmother leaned forward as she fixed me with a sweet smile.

"Ah, that... It was a sort of pep talk I guess you could say."

"Pep talk? Whatever for?"

I gulped as she slightly tilted her head in question.

"Just for calming me down before speaking with you all. I'll be honest and say that I still feel extremely nervous about this meeting."

"Aww, my dear you are absolutely adorable! There is no need to call this a meeting- perhaps that's part of the reason why you're so tense. Think of this as a way to bond and get to know one another without the pestering of those boys. Oh, once I heard the news about you I was ecstatic to hear of a sweet girl such as yourself."

I immediately blushed and couldn't help but grin in response to the contagious grin she was sporting herself.

"I know we've heard a lot of news from our boys, but of course we had to meet you personally. Now tell me about yourself."

I turned and found Jimin's mother eyeing me up and down as she waited for my response. She gave off the exact opposite vibes as Seokjin's grandmother gave off. She felt cold, distant, and very judgmental.

Extremely judgmental.

"Okay, I suppose I could start with the fact that I am eighteen. Turning nineteen soon. I go to University with the boys and, uh, I have a younger bro-"

"How are your academics?"

Taehyung's mother seemed very uninterested. She was gorgeous, but her eyes seemed dull and her voice was monotonous. I definitely felt intimidated under her stare.

"Th-they're good. I try my best to keep my grades high and don't often slack."

'Bullshit' rang through my head but I nodded along to what I was saying nonetheless.

"And your family. Do they make a lot of money?"

"My parents make a decent amount. Their jobs aren't of the highest class, but they aren't the worst either."

Jimin's mother hummed while I mentally frowned. What kind of response was that?

"Well, do tell us about how you guys met and developed your relationship! Tell us all the details!"

Did I mention Dawon was my savior?

"O-oh. How we met. It was actually quite the coincidence..."

❀♡❀

Dawon and I giggled as Seokjin's grandmother recounted the time when Jin had spilled a whole bowl of batter upon himself because he tripped over a banana peel. The way she explained the event sounded so funny and I couldn't help but keel over a bit as she continued. Dawon was already red-faced from the last story.

She even shared Jin's contagious laughter and who can resist joining?

After catching our breath, Dawon asked how to make a certain recipe and the two went off into conversation.

I vaguely listened but tuned the two out as I glanced across from us to the three women huddled together and laughing stiffly and professionally. It definitely wasn't how Dawon and I were.

Jimin's mother was recounting something while the other two listened and gave comments when appropriate. I won't lie when I say it almost looked scripted. Jimin's mother would purposefully stop at moments to either get an input or let the others laugh.

They had listened to my story earlier and often interrupted to ask questions that sort of made me uncomfortable. Of course I left out the part about the fight, but other than that scene, the others asked questions asking why I would do this or that. It was like they judged me for who I hung out with or bonded with first.

Not to mention that fact that once I mentioned the fact that I haven't bonded with Hoseok or Jimin yet, they were very confused and brought in their own comments and opinions which I disliked. It's not their love story, yet they are telling me what I should do as if I was a character in their play.

Whereas Dawon and Seokjin's grandmother were patient and listened attentively, the three very much intruded and gave off several passive aggressive comments.

It wasn't long before it seemed as though the three lost interest in me and began to talk amongst themselves. Thankfully the two besides me continued to ask questions to get to know me which soon turned into story time about Hoseok's and Jin's younger days.

I let out a sigh as I glanced at the burning fire to the side and ignored the noises around me.

I didn't exactly feel the most comfortable, but I just wish this was a bit easier.

A/N: This was really late. Oops. (What the heck did you expect from me 😭)

This was actually hard to write because it's set during Christmas, yet it's freaking summer and I can't get in touch with the holiday feels ahhh! I should've streamed the hallmark channel to help with the feels but eh.

Honestly, I really didn't want to mess up the plot because damn was it hard to plan out these next chapters, so please continue to be understanding, loves. The fact that I rarely found any comments demanding me to update made me feel more at ease and thank you so much for that.

Truly, I am still amazed with the amount of notifications I continue to receive on both stories even when I haven't recently updated. Also, what the hell! We passed 900K views over here and are about to hit 100K on 'Safe'? My writing doesn't need so much attention, ahh! I'm melting from the embarrassment. Thank you, I wish I could just jump through the screen and give ya'll a hug or pat on the head (if given consent of course).

Question Time! If humans lost the ability to see all color except one, which color would you want to see?

Honestly, I think I'd like to see green so I can at least enjoy nature and all the shades rather than more of a naturally rare color like purple. Just something to ponder about.
