《75》

"And we are here!"

"Finally!" Jungkook cheered as he grabbed my shoulders and frantically shook me in excitement. My head wobbled back and forth as I tried to get him to stop.

"Let's go!"

Jungkook released me abruptly and immediately attempted to squeeze out from the back row to exit the vehicle. Jimin and I looked at each other as soon as Jungkook left and rolled our eyes at his energy.

Soon enough we all piled out of the car and when I was about to look around, a familiar hand covered my eye which instantly made me protest.

"Nope. You don't get to know yet. Let's enter first and maybe you can guess where we are."

"Aw man! That's not fair!"

"It's totally fair." Namjoon placed his free hand upon my shoulder before beginning to gently guide me towards an unknown destination as I could hear and feel the others' presences around or in front of us.

I heard a door open and Namjoon nudging me through. Instantly I was taken aback by the cold chill of the room rather than warm heat as I was expecting. He continued leading me further into the room and I felt my fingers twitch in a need to feel the area around me just so I know that I don't fall or bump into anything.

There was a hum of chatter among the room and I knew this was a public area, however I still am not sure where.

I let out a slight gasp as I was abruptly stopped. My hands jittered as I waved them around in front of me in hopes of finding a solid object. I was left flailing my arms stupidly in the air and I sure felt as stupid as I probably looked.

"Calm down, babe. Have you guessed where we are yet?"

I stilled as I dropped my hands and turned in the direction of Jimin's voice. My mouth slightly dropped at the pet name and even though I couldn't see him or the others, I'm sure they were amused by my response.

"Well, darling?" My head whipped over to the general direction of Hoseok's voice.

"Uh, no?"

"Man she's as dumb as she looks."

I glared holes into Namjoon's hand as I turned towards the direction of Jungkook's voice. I instantly dropped the insult that was forming when I heard a smack and Jungkook's automatic, "Hey, I was joking! Why do I keep getting hit today!"

"Ignore him. Alright, ready for the big reveal?"

"As I'll ever be?"

Namjoon slowly lifted his hands from blocking my field of vision and I was instantly taken aback by the sheer brightness of the room. My eyes squinted as I began to register that we were standing in front of a large window and looking into an ice skating arena. A couple people were skating and rows of benches led down to the rink.

My eyes widened as a grin started to grow on my face. Turning back to the others, they were looking at me with apprehensive looks and hesitant smiles.

"Wow! Ice skating sounds fun!"

"Phew, let's get going then!" Jungkook immediately grabbed my hand and led me to a counter near the back. The others began to follow as I glanced around the cozy room from above. It was more of a lounge as several people milled around in groups or alone, some with foods, some with drinks. A cafe was set at the far end of the room and Jungkook was leading me up to a counter near the entrance.

We had to wait in line for a pair of ice skates since the others had already handled the pay.

"Have you ever skated before?"

I looked up at Yoongi with a tinge of nervousness when I replied, "Not really. I might've gone once or twice when I was younger but I had to hold onto the wall the whole time."

"I see. I'm not that great either. I much prefer sitting and watching rather than almost slipping and dying."

"Don't worry! I can help her." Jimin leaned in towards us as we were huddled together.

"Oh you know how to skate?"

"Sure I do! It's not that hard once you get your bearings and balance figured out. I even taught Yoongi and he crossed the rink once!"

"Yeah yeah. But how many times did I fall?"

"It's not about the numbers, it's about the experience! And how great of a teacher I am."

"Excuse me? I was the one who taught Yoongi how to hold his balance. All you did was hold his hand and basically lead him the whole time. I am the greatest teacher." Jin pitched in out of nowhere.

"Oh you know how as well, Jin?"

"Indeed. Maybe not all the fancy tricks like Jimin, but I can hold my ground on the ice. If you need help after getting confused by Jimin's demonstration, then look for me. Perhaps just start a conversation- now that'd be a good ice breaker."

Jin laughed loudly as I nodded with a grin.

After a bit of waiting and a fuss over how difficult it was just to take out the knots that came with the shoelaces, we were all suited up and ready to take on the slippery field of death.

I hesitated once I noticed the others beginning to stand and wobble their way over to the doors of the stadium. I definitely was no pro in this field.

I watched as Jimin eagerly shoves a reluctant Namjoon onto the ice and Namjoon automatically begins wobbling across the ice with Jimin in tow. Yoongi and Taehyung followed right after, Taehyung having to tug on Yoongi's hand to make sure he follows.

"I'll help you up." I turned to see Hoseok holding his hand out to me as Jin was doing arm stretches.

I grinned up at him as I took his hand into mine and he heaved me up. He instantly wrapped a protective arm around my waist and helped me maintain my balance as we edged closer to the walls near the entrance.

Jin was already there and stepped onto the ice without hesitation. He glided forward before turning to flash a radiant grin towards Hoseok and I as we shot back blank expressions.

Hoseok stepped on the ice first and he almost lost his balance for a moment which automatically made him wave his arms in the air in an attempt to balance himself out.

I tried to grab onto one of his flailing arms but he managed to grab hold of the wall and stabilize himself.

Letting out a breath of relief, he said, "Guess I'm a little rusty." I internally awed at his awkward chuckle afterwards.

"Enter the ring! Don't worry, I got you." Hoseok smiled as he placed one hand on the wall and held one out towards me again.

"Uh, you sure?"

"Of course I am!" He took the initiative to grab hold of my hand and tugged me forward gently.

The moment I placed my right foot upon the ice, I immediately knew that this was not my forte. It started to slip forward which caused me to instantly tighten my grip as my other foot started following suit.

"H-Hoseok! I'm going to die!" Hoseok tried to drag me towards him but this caused my chest to move back and my legs to still move forward, thus gravity to drag me to meet my long time friend, the floor, which I haven't seen in a while.

I let out a gasp as I almost slipped but suddenly an arm wrapped around my waist from the front and stabilized me by pulling me upright.

"Okay, that was not very smooth, Seok."

I looked up to see Jin shaking his head in dismay as he kept a tight grip on me.

"I didn't think she'd automatically try to reconnect with the floor! That was my fault for misunderstanding though."

I shot Hoseok a murderous glare as he sheepishly grinned.

"I got her. You need to adjust to the ice too."

Hoseok sighed but nodded his head as he slowly lightened his grasp on my hand.

"Sorry about that, but I'll catch up to you later once I get my bearings on this slippery surface."

I nodded at his declaration as he smiled and brought my hand up to his before placing a light peck upon my knuckles. Hoseok let out a smile as he released my hand before performing small zigzags across the ice in a random direction.

"Ready to go?"

My face paled as I shakily turned to glance at Seokjin, who was smiling down at me.

"Uh, no?"

"Perfect! Please keep arms and feet stable at all times and do trust the conductor."

He winked as he firmly readjusted his hold on me and righted his footing. My arms held his shoulders tightly as he pushed off with one foot and began to skate backwards slowly.

"Ah! No! Wait!" My feet instantly started going outwards and my hold tightened around his jacket.

"First rule, try to control the direction of where your shoes are pointing. Point them in the direction you want to go. So make them face straight."

I instantly looked down and tried to do as he said. It was sort of difficult when trying to keep my shoes pointed straight because they kept wanting to wander off, especially with Jin still moving us forwards.

"Second rule should've been to always look up, doofus, but you're lucky I'm guiding us."

I snapped my head up to see Jin shooting me an amused smirk.

"Did you just call me a 'doofus'?"

"Ah, should I have called you 'sugar pie' instead? I'll keep that noted."

My face heated up as he laughed.

"Look at that! You figured out how to not fall right away!"

I quickly moved my attention towards my feet and noticed that I unconsciously stabilized them.

"Now you are ready to go on your own!"

My eyes widened as I noticed Seokjin's hold loosen on me as he began to move faster.

"No! Seokjin, I swear to God, if you-"

His arms let go with a laugh as I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck to prevent him from skating away.

This, however, caused him to stop laughing as my skate got jammed with one of his and he lost his footing. Our eyes made contact and mirrored our shock as he fell backwards with me following.

❀♡❀

We ended up in a heap on the floor and seconds later, the others had surrounded us while onlookers watched with muffled laughs.

Why were they laughing and not looking upon us with concern?

Because Seokjin had softened my fall but immediately began to scold me as I scrambled off him and winced at his rap-like speed.

It took a couple minutes for the others to calm him down as Namjoon took the initiative to help us up and look us over for any wounds.

After that, they made sure to keep a close eye on me and continued to joke about it the rest of the time.

❀♡❀

"Nothing like a warm cup of hot chocolate after falling on my ass over ice about fifty times."

The others let out snickers as I took a small sip of the scorching hot drink.

We were currently in a cafe that Jungkook recommended. He said that he heard about it's opening, but I knew he recalled our conversation from an earlier time.

I remember I was walking with him towards the canteen and heard about this particular cafe recently opening its doors. I told Jungkook about it because it sounded really interesting and mentioned that we should try it with everyone if our schedules allow it in the future. He merely nodded at the time, so I dropped the topic.

At the thought, I looked up and saw Jungkook already watching me with a soft expression. As soon as I looked at him, he turned away and pretended to be oblivious.

What a cutie.

"I hope you are excited for what we have planned next!"

My attention focused on Jimin's excited form besides me.

"There's more?"

"Well duh. It's not over yet, babe."

I instantly cast my gaze to the side and tried to hide the blush that wanted to be released.

They've used pet names before, but I can't seem to be able to get over the school girl response to it. I especially haven't been able to say it back, unless I'm teasing them.

"You better not ask us where we are going the whole time or I will duct tape your mouth shut."

"Ooh, even ki-"

"Jeon Jungkook."

"Nothing!"

I laughed at their interactions and eagerly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. Their cheerful faces across the steam of hot chocolate and the tune of Christmas songs in the air really made this moment beautiful. The smell of sweets and coffee filled the room as I simply took it all in. I really wanted this moment ingrained in my memory because it's so wholesome and sweet.

I truly am glad to have met them and shared this moment.

My grin grew as I felt a hand sneak into my own. I looked to my side and saw Jimin smile happily at me.

❀♡❀

I was currently wobbling on a medium-sized ladder as I tried to place an ornament upon the higher branches of the Christmas tree.

Turns out the others gave me the option to choose where to go next. They mentioned that they debated on whether to go shopping just for me or to go home and have a "Really Early Christmas Party Extravaganza" of our own since we won't be able to spend Christmas in the comforts of our homes.

Obviously if I was risking my life just to place a cute snowman ornament near the top of the tree as the ladder that I stood with my tippy-toes on wobbled unnervingly, then you know what I chose.

The smell of gingerbread cookies wafted heavenly throughout the room as Jimin and Jungkook loudly sang along to Christmas songs while icing cookies.

Jin and Hoseok were in the kitchen baking desserts while Namjoon and Yoongi worked on decorating the lower areas of the tree.

Taehyung was supposed to be holding the ladder steady.

Then he got distracted when Hoseok offered some of the cookie batter.

"Y/n, you good?"

I peeked over my shoulder to see Namjoon looking up at me apprehensively.

"Golden! Just peachy! A-okay! I'm feeling just fine!" My voice cracked slightly as I had to move my foot again when I felt the ladder lean towards one direction. Namjoon immediately stepped forward and held the ladder firmly in place.

"Uh-huh. Taehyung just decided to dip?" I let out a sigh of relief as I looked back at the tree and easily hooked the ornament on a sturdy branch.

"It appears he did. How dedica-"

"I'm back! Sorry, sorry!" Taehyung zoomed back into the living room and resumed his spot as Namjoon backed off.

I let out a huff as he sheepishly smiled up at me.

"How could I refuse cookie batter?"

"By thinking about my safety?"

"But cookie batter..."

"But my life was in your hands..."

"Okay, I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Just don't leave again! Hurry up and pass me another ornament."

"Yes ma'am!"

❀♡❀

It was later in the afternoon when we were all seated in Seokjin's living room and admiring the Christmas tree.

It was definitely very flashy and captured one's attention as soon as they walked in. I personally don't think I've seen a Christmas tree so large and decorated before, but here we are.

"Well, just cause we can't spend Christmas together here doesn't mean this wasn't fun."

We all looked at Hoseok as he beamed at us.

Jimin grinned as he added, "Totally! Those cookies were delicious and the tree looks amazing!"

"I agree. I'm glad we got to put up the tree together."

I hummed my agreement as we all quieted down and admired the sparkling ornaments from the sunlight's gentle rays. It was nearing night and we were all cozy, sitting together and watching the last of the sunlight hitting softly on the newly festive tree.

I let out a small smile as I leaned my head on Jin's comfort- wide shoulders.

"Tired?"

I glanced over to see that Yoongi had directed the question towards me.

"Sort of. This date has got to be one of the best I've experienced. And I haven't actually experienced that much."

He let out a small grin before continuing, "Don't fall asleep yet. We have one last destination to hit before the night officially ends."

I lifted my head in wonder as I noticed the others share a glance with tiny smiles.

"Oh? Where?"

"That's it. Where's the duct tape?"

I let out a laugh as Yoongi cast his gaze around the room.

"Fine then. When will we go?"

"In an hour. You should go to your apartment and change into formal attire. That's your only hint for the night."

"Formal attire?"

"Yeah, you know the outfit you wear for an event where-"

"I know what that means, dummy." I stuck my tongue out at Jungkook as he returned the childish gesture.

"Better start moving, love." I looked away from Taehyung as he grinned mischievously.

Seokjin stood up before helping me up as well and leading me towards the door as the others sat back.

He opened it for me and I exited his apartment before turning to him.

"We shall pick you up at your doorstep when the time hits around seven."

"Okay." I softly smiled as he returned it. He leaned down and placed a light peck on my forehead.

"Don't fret too much over details, my rose. You'll look beautiful anyway."

"Jin! Dang it!" I immediately blushed and turned to stomp away towards my apartment as his laughter was heard behind me.

That was a new name and I definitely wasn't ready for it. Or the night to come, I suppose.

A/N: I apologize for updating so late 😭

This chapter has definitely been more of a filler with lots of fluff. Like damn, I really feel like this story is running out of steam 😅

It's odd editing this when it's currently summer and I can't relate to the cold activities of winter.

Question Time! What's your pet peeve (What annoys you the most)?

Ooh, I hate a lot of small things and actions that people do but ones that I can recall at the top of my head is when people block the paths or walk really slowly, people who scream for their friends from afar, and/or people who turn away mid-conversation and start another. Those are only a few but 😤 Let's all be considerate of others is what I try to preach.

@bonnehh_ *chef's kiss* You absolutely nailed it!  This is too adorable.
