《65》
"I knew it! Wait."
Yoongi and I looked at Jungkook alarmed as the others sat still in a state of shock. Jungkook immediately became Jungshook as the words registered in his head.
I fidgeted by bouncing from one leg to another as I watched the others staring at me in stunned silence.
"Uh... you guys may want to blink eventually."
Wrong move Yoongi.
Jin's eyes suddenly narrowed as he stood up.
"How long have you both known!"
Nervously, I answered "S-since the time Yoongi fell off those stairs... a while a-ago."
"What!" Jimin suddenly stood up and let his jaw drop.
"That was weeks ago! When were you guys ever going to tell us!" Taehyung snapped out of his shocked state and flashed a look of betrayal.
"W-well, we were planning to soon. Promise! It just got revealed sooner rather than later..." I bit my lip while glancing away.
"You're our final soulmate?" Jungkook's voice came out as low as a whisper as his eyes were blown wide.
I hesitantly nodded my head.
"Y-you said you knew it Jungkook. What did you mean by that?" Yoongi asked to try to get some of the attention off.
"I thought you were secretly craving y/n's cuddles... cause I do that sometimes. I thought that was why you were hugging her! Not this."
"How did you find out, Yoongi. You need to tell us." Namjoon ordered as he neutralized his expression.
"It was an accident. That time when I fell off the stairs... before that happened, I accidentally k-kissed her." He blushed as he looked away.
I blushed too as I recalled the events.
"Would you two stop blushing? I can't believe this. If I recall correctly, you ignored y/n for a while afterwards. We did not raise you that way!"
Yoongi winced as I also flinched at the tone of Jin's voice. The memories have dulled slightly, but still existed.
"I didn't know. Until I got my memory back, I didn't know." Yoongi muttered this while slightly shaking his head.
The room settled with a tense silence in the air as I solely focused on the details of the flooring.
"W-What now?" Jimin timidly asked.
After a pause, Hoseok slowly asked, "Are you sure?"
Yoongi looked confused for a moment, but Hoseok said, "Like one hundred percent sure."
"Yes."
"Shit." Hoseok huffed as he closed his eyes, sat back, and ran a hand through his hair.
I frowned at his reaction. Was it bad that I was their soulmate? The thought hurt and I felt apprehension build up in me.
"A-are you upset?"
Hoseok flashed his eyes open as he looked straight at me. He didn't speak for a couple seconds as he scrutinized me under his gaze.
"No. I just can't believe you've been right alongside us this whole time."
It's like the room let out a breath as Hoseok let out a tiny smile.
"O-oh. I didn't expect any of this either." I bit my lip in a nervous tendency as I briefly glanced at all the faces around me in the room.
"Wait... is this why you guys have been closer lately!" Taehyung suddenly brightened his expression as if he connected all the dots. Well, he technically did.
Yoongi and I shyly nodded. Taehyung nodded as though he knew all along.
After a minute of just silence, I couldn't handle it. They all seemed lost in thought and I couldn't distinguish any of their reactions other than being absolutely flabbergasted. I couldn't handle being in their presence all at once now that the news was out. I felt my anxiety skyrocket as I nervously fumbled with my fingers. I needed to get out.
Suddenly a soft melody rang around the room and I felt a vibration in my back pocket.
Pulling out my phone, I took a moment to stare at the screen. It was an alarm I set earlier and the timing couldn't have been more perfect.
I briefly glanced around the room before I slapped my hand on my forehead as I let out an exaggerated groan.
"I have to go. Work awaits!" I instantly turned on my heel and rushed to put on my shoes.
Swiftly opening the door I vaguely heard Jin yell "Hey, wait! Today is Thur-" before I hastily shut it. Exhaling briefly against it for a moment, I push myself off and quickly scurry down the hall to my room.
❀♡❀
Safely entering, I rush over to my room and chuck my bag to the floor before flopping onto my bed.
That alarm was just to wake me up in case I take a nap. Thank the heavens I set it. I don't know what would've happened if I stayed longer.
But on the downside, now I can't nap.
Groaning, I sat up and stared blankly at the bed sheets.
Then it just somehow dawned on me. Recalling all of the events that just occurred suddenly washed over me like a fresh water current in contrast to the haze I felt a couple minutes ago.
They know. Holy shit, they know.
I turned and screamed into my pillow. Thrashing around at sporadic intervals, I began to beat up the pillow as if it was a person.
It took me several moments to finally calm down enough. My heart rate picked up way faster as I still recall all their expressions. I don't know how they felt about the situation and the apprehension I'm feeling right now is something I seriously hate feeling.
I can't believe the truth came out so abruptly.
What's going to happen now?
I sighed as I blankly stared at the wall for a few more seconds before shaking my head. I may as well finish that assignment to occupy my thoughts.
❀♡❀
The weekend passed in a flash. I couldn't actually speak or interact with the guys often because of work and getting ahead on assignments. I also don't want to admit that perhaps a tinge of fear also had me avoiding any interaction. They didn't come knocking because they know I've been complaining about the pile of assignments I had to complete over the weekend.
I'm glad they respected that, but that didn't mean the build up of unease and anxiety made the isolation any better.
So here I was as I took small steps towards the art room. I was basically shuffling my feet by a couple inches just to prolong having to face Taehyung. With my face down, I brushed and bumped into lots of people who were walking past. The halls were bustling with the normal student traffic minutes between classes.
I sighed as I finally reached the door. I just stared at the knob in contemplation. The class would start in a couple minutes so I had time to stare at the door unless somebody were to come up and ruin my moment of-
"Are you trying to use the Force to open the door... because I don't think it's working."
I jerked my body reflexively as I turned to the culprit who had startled me.
Taehyung smiled down at me in amusement. No hint of malice or disappointment shown on his expression.
"O-oh. I guess my skills are a bit rusty."
"What skills, silly." He let out a soft chuckle which had me melting.
"Where did you come from? I thought you were already in class."
"Well, I was waiting for you right over there." He pointed at the area literally right across from the door.
"You seemed to be lost in your own world. We should definitely head inside now though. I'll use this handy dandy tool that was built over thousands and millions of years of evolution to open the door." He wiggled his fingers mockingly before reaching over to open the door manually.
I rolled my eyes as he wiggled his eyebrows and gestured me into the classroom.
Taking his offer and stepping into the room, it was already filled and the professor was setting up her equipment while a hum of chatter filled the air.
Instantly catching the eyes of Momo and Chaeyoung in our normal spots, I eagerly made my way over with Taehyung lazily trailing afterwards.
"Hey! You look chipper this morning."
"Haha." I replied to Momo's comment with a monotonous tone because I was exhausted from stressing last night.
"Hey Taehyung." Taehyung cheerfully reiterated the greeting.
Over the course of the weeks, the girls had accepted that the boys were alright. They made mistakes that definitely didn't earn their complete trust, however they could tell I was happier.
After a minute of brief conversation, the professor announced the beginning of class and began her lecture.

Taehyung was peacefully walking besides me on the walk to Graphics Design. He never made any indication relating to the news from a couple days ago. He just continued with his usual flirty and carefree attitude.
Upon reaching the classroom, we stood to the side of the hall and continued chatting while waiting for Jungkook to show up.
It's been a sort of ritual for Taehyung and I to wait for Jungkook to show up. After he does, we would talk until there was five minutes left before class started. Taehyung's next class was actually Literature, but the teacher was normally a bit late and very laid back so he didn't technically need to be there right on time.
I noticed Jungkook creeping his way over from a distance behind Taehyung as Taehyung was avidly speaking about this cute cafe he found out about. He brought his pointing finger up to his lips in a gesture for me to be quiet.
I sent him a brief wink before quickly making contact with Taehyung as he looked back down at me with a grin.
I smiled widely back before I suddenly threw on a serious expression which caused Taehyung to get confused.
"It's Bunny Boy in a place we've never seen him before. Watch out! Watch out! Watch out! Oh my god!"
Jungkook jumped up and wrung his arms around Taehyung's neck before dragging him down and proceeding to give Taehyung a fierce noogie.
"K.O in mid-air!"
All three of us let out bellows of laughter as Taehyung weakly struggled to get out of Jungkook's hold.
"Let go you muscle pig!"
"Not until you scream 'Jungkook has more brain cells than I do!'"
"What! I can't lie!"
In response Jungkook pressed his knuckle down harder as Taehyung tried to back out of the arm-hold.
"What lie? I don't see or hear one anywhere in that statement! Right y/n?" I laughed as I simply raised my hands in surrender and backed a bit away.
A small crowd had formed around the two playful boys and I'm not gonna lie when I say I felt a small pang of possessiveness against all the girls who had their phones out.
It wasn't long before my attention was returned back to the boys when I heard Taehyung screech, "Fine! You win! Taehyung has more brain cells than Jungkook does!"
Jungkook victoriously loosened his grip before suddenly freezing as the words registered in his head. Taehyung already returned to my side before giving me a brief hug and sticking his tongue out at Jungkook.
"That just proved my point!" He laughed as he scampered away. The laughter in the hall was loud as Jungkook was about to chase him, however I tugged on his hoodie in the last moment.
"We still have class mister!"
He turned and whined as I rolled my eyes playfully in response.
Jungkook finally slumped his shoulders in defeat as he let me drag him to the room.
I took a brief glance at the crowd and noticed many girls annoyed with me. I simply shrugged in response before continuing the journey.
If I'm not the one wrangling all these guys out of trouble, who else would be able to?
The female population will always be glaring at me and they have anyway since the start of school. I'm basically immune now.
But then it brought my thoughts back to the situation at hand. If they are my soulmates, how am I going to not get freaking jealous all the time and hold all their interests long enough.
"Hey what are you doing you turtle." I turned my attention back to Jungkook as he was now dragging me to follow him into the classroom. I didn't even notice when I began to slow down.
"Eh?" Jungkook just chuckled as I dazedly followed him to our seats. His words haven't registered in my head as I fretted about my thoughts.
"Hey." His fingers snapped in front of my face as I shook out of my reverie and focused on him.
"Why do you keep spacing out already? You weren't the one to receive the intense noogie and yet you seem as lost as though you had."
I pouted in response as I shook my head.
"I don't know. Maybe I'm dehydrated?"
"Here then." He reached into his bag and pulled out his water bottle. It was a cool red sports bottle that had a cap over the spout, a rubber area for easy grip, and a handle at the top to easily hold it. It was also freaking huge and only a quarter was gone from it.
"What the- you carry this around every day!"
He nodded and shrugged like it was nothing.
I grabbed it and it was heavy. I leaned down a bit with the unexpected weight but Jungkook caught my hand over the bottle and held the bottle up with me.
"Jeez. Do I need to help you drink this if you're just going to drop it?"
I snatched it away from his hold with both hands this time and scrunched my nose.
"No! I got it!" He watched me in amusement as I popped the cap off and lifted the bottle to my lips.
I nervously glanced at Jungkook, who's attention was on me.
"Stop looking at me! I'm gonna laugh and spill this freaking jug all over the computers."
"Fine, fine." He lifted his hands in surrender as he turned to log into his computer while I looked back at the water bottle.
Not going to lie, it was a challenge just to lift the thing up and hold it steady against my lips as I tried to control the release of water from the spout.
Refreshed, I set the bottle down with a relieved sigh as my arms were relieved from the mini exercise.
Jungkook chuckled as he grabbed the bottle from my hands and lifted it with one. Tilting his head back, he maintained eye contact as he took big gulps from it without any trouble.
I furrowed my eyebrows at this showoff.
Releasing the spout with a pop, he used his other hand to cap the top and shot me a big grin.
"Imagine having to use two hands to drink a water bottle."
"Imagine having to lose a couple Mario Kart tournaments against a girl."
"Imagine having to lose more than enough of those tournaments against a guy."
"Imagine having to be a living coconut named Jungkook."
"Imagine having to lose a majority of every game you've ever played against this coconut."
"Imagine having to- to, uh. Oh wait, imagine scoring a four on the English exam."
Jungkook pursed his lips instantly.
"Who told you."
"I'll never tell." I winked as he narrowed his eyes.
"Is everyone here? Well hopefully you are because let's begin!" Professor Yoojang just began the class as I looked away from Jungkook's humorous expression.
❀♡❀
After class finally ended, Jungkook casually walked next to me as we silently made our way to the cafeteria. The normal ruckus of the halls filled up the content silence that we held between one another. While Taehyung would talk my ear off in the morning, Jungkook would make small comments, joke around, or stay silent as we walked. It was never awkward, just comforting after such a complicated class.
Upon reaching the familiar doors to the canteen, Jungkook led the way as I followed him to our table. People still stared, but by now they all know it's normal for me to be with them. Clearly the Jisoo incident wasn't going to change that.
Which reminds me, I took a glance at the corner of the room to find the group of four already sat and chatting. Jisoo hasn't said a word to me. Her reputation was definitely tarnished, but not a peep has come out of her. She never sits next to me in Computer Science and always sits in another spot that was farthest away from me. She has never looked me in the eye or acknowledged me when passing by in the halls. Even the other three followed her lead and never said a word.
That was okay with me though. I really don't need her toxic energy in my life.
Reaching the table, I took the spot between Yoongi and Namjoon. I smiled as I returned all the boys' friendly greetings. Yoongi immediately grasped my hand under the table and seemed to sigh in relief.
I alternately sat with the guys and girls because usually this was the only time Yoongi and I could get quality physical attention through our bond.
Jin passed around the lunch boxes and we all began eating with an easy-going atmosphere surrounding the table.
No one made a mention of the situation yesterday. No one was acting weird either. It was just... normal.
I didn't decide to bring it up at all because I didn't want to disrupt this serene feeling buzzing around the table. Although I was filled with apprehension and questions, deep inside I'm glad they haven't changed the way they act around me.
I didn't intend to ruin this if it meant that we don't address what happened.
