Austin's POV

Cody was the Ender Dragon? How did this slip past us?

Everyone that was in the room, in a cage or free, was staring at him in disbelief.

He laughed a deep laugh that was unlike his own and his skin began changing to black dragon scales. Adam pulled out his budder sword and I pulled out my new diamond sword.

He flew to the roof and sat in the banisters, staring at us with purple eyes.

I looked at Ty, who did not pull out his weapon.

"Ty, get your sword!" I said urgently.

He shook his head and grinned mischievously.

"I don't need to," he said.

"Don't tell me you're evil too!" I said.

"No, no. I'm not evil," he laughed.

I looked at him, confused.

He closed his eyes and revealed a large pair of black and purple wings.

"What in the..." Adam began. I looked at Cody and saw that he was confused too.

"I never told anyone, but I'm an ender hybrid," he said softly, folding his wings on his back.

"You didn't even tell us! We're your brothers!" Adam said.

"I didn't tell because I wanted to protect you," he said. He sighed and refocused. "I'm going to fly up to Cody and fight him in the air while you shoot him with your bows. Adam and I nodded and he took flight.

"Ender heart," Cody grumbled, flying off the banister to meet Ty in the air.

Ty's POV

I met face to face with Cody in the air.

"You're a hybrid," he growled.

"What's it to you?" I asked, pulling out my sword.

I swung at Cody and he tried to bite me, but I flew to the side and stabbed him. He roared in anger and swung at me with his giant claws.

I ducked and his paw flew right over my head.

An arrow flew past my head and stuck in Cody's jaw. He roared and ripped the arrow out, which made me wince.

I continually stabbed and sliced at him. Soon, his health was low and I saw the keys for the cages fall from somewhere on his stomach. Ryan and Bashur came in with two guards.

"I'll explain later," Adam told them.

Austin jumped and grabbed the keys out of the air. He unlocked the cage where Ian and Thalia were. They ran out and grabbed bows and arrows.

More arrows flew and hit Cody.

"NOOO!" he screamed.

Austin landed the final blow and Cody exploded in a ball of light. I landed gracefully on the ground and my wings diasppeared.

"Where did your wings go?" Austin asked.

"They disappear until I want them again," I shrugged. Adam sat on his throne and sighed. He looked up and smiled.

"It's done. Cody is gone," he said, laughing.

"Yeah," Austin said, sitting on the stairs that were at Adam's feet. "And I shot the death blow!"

I laughed.

"Good job, Austin. Now, while you guys lounge around, I'll go get Mitch and Jerome out of their cage," I said.

"We're coming, Ty," Austin said.

Bashur, Ryan, Adam, Austin, Thalia, Ian and I went and freed Mitch and Jerome and the guards went back to their posts.

When we opened the cage, Mitch and Jerome came out, nervous and shaking.

"What happened?" Jerome asked slowly, brushing his fur with his paws.

"Ty's a hybrid, Cody was the ender dragon and you were knocked out and put in that cage," Adam said.

"Woah, slow down," Mitch said, holding his hand out to stop him.

"So, Cody knocked you out and put you in a cage. Then, Cody revealed his true identity by turning into the ender dragon and then Ty said that he was a hybrid. He has big wings and he flew to Cody and fought him in the air," Austin said.

Mitch blinked slowly and looked at me.

"You're a hybrid?" he asked.

"Um, yeah," I said, rubbing the back of my neck. Jerome laughed.

"Well, we've all learned something new today!"

We walked back to the dining hall and sat down. The cooks brought food and we chowed down.

As we were eating, a guy in a white robe walked in with a golden crown encrusted with jewels.

"Where is King Adam?" he asked. Adam stood up.

"Here," he said.

"It is time you are crowned and made official king of the budder dimensions," he said. Thalia's eyes widened.

"The prophecy..." she whispered.

Adam turned to her.

"The prophecy?"

"There is a prophecy that was written telling of a person not of this world, but of another one, coming to our land. He will travel to the City of Gold and end the reign of the Ender Dragon. And in that same spot that the ender dragon took its last breath, a new king will be crowned!" she said. "Austin landed the death shot on the dragon! He is the person of legend!"

Austin's POV

I was the person of legend!?

I was pretty much silent as we went to the throne room. We walked in and formed rows along the red carpet that led to the throne. Adam knelt in front of the throne as the crown was placed on his head.

"Rise, King Adam of the Budder Dimensions," said the man in white.

As Adam stood up, I looked at my hands and they were glowing.

"Wha..." I said quietly.

When Adam sat on the throne, my entire body was glowing a golden light.

"Thalia..." I muttered urgently. She looked at me and grinned.

"Just let it happen," she said. By that point, everyone was watching me.

So I did. I felt a powerful adrenaline running through me and it felt like I was burning.

Then I blacked out.
