We had ridden for a couple of hours when we reached the Colosseum. It was huge and old and looked like the Roman Colosseum.

"Here is where you'll do your training," said Thalia. Ryan was looking at it with awe.

"Pretty awesome place to train..." he said.

We walked inside and I took out my sword. Thalia walked over to a dispenser that was in the side of the wall. I stood on the dirt in front

"Come in," she said. Reluctantly, I stepped in and all the guys sat down in the stands. Thalia pressed a button and a hoard of zombies spawned and started coming toward me. I held my sword out in front of me and waited for the zombies to walk onto the end of my sword.

"Austin, swing your sword! Chop them up!" Adam called from the stands.

I swung my sword and chopped a zombie's head off. I gasped.

"What did I just do?!" I asked in surprise, dropping my sword.

"What you were supposed to do! Now pick up your sword and keep fighting!" Ty called. I picked up my sword and killed every single zombie in the arena.

"Good job, Austin!" Thalia said, handing me a strange purple drink.

"What's this?" I asked.

"A potion of regeneration, to heal you and get you ready for your next course," said Thalia.

I quickly drank the potion and felt better right away.

"Okay, now Mitch is going to teach you archery," Thalia said. Mitch came into the arena from the stands and Thalia took the spot where he was sitting.

Mitch handed me a bow and a quiver of arrows.

"We're going to start at targets, then go to mobs," he said. He pushed a button and some targets popped up.

"Stand on this line and shoot the targets. To do that, pull back on your bow and release," he explained. I pulled back and released, but my arrow hardly went a foot in front of me.

"You have to pull your bow back all the way if you want it to get to the targets," Mitch laughed. I tried again and hit the edge.

"Close! Just aim a little better and shoot."

I aimed and fired, shooting the target in the middle.

"Good job! Now do the rest!" yelled Jerome from the side.

I shot the rest of them in the centre after a little while.

"Now, mobs. We'll be doing creepers, because they're the best to fight with a ranged attack," Mitch said.

He pressed a button and three creepers spawned. I aimed and shot one, but it didn't die.

"What do I do now?" I asked in a panic, running away from the creepers that were coming toward me.

"You have to shoot them multiple times!" exclaimed Mitch.

I shot them again and again, and after one one explosion, they were all dead.

"Good job!" said Mitch, handing me another regeneration potion. I drank it quickly.

"Next, you'll be doing hunting with Ryan," said Mitch. Ryan came down from the stands and stood in front of me.

"Okay, for hunting you need to stab more than slash so that you can get the most meat that's not cut up," Ryan told me.

"So what am I hunting?" I asked, readying my sword.

"Pigs and cows," said Ryan. He pressed a button and a bunch of cows and pigs spawned. I stabbed them and collected their meat and leather from the cows.

"Good job!" said Ryan. He slammed my shoulder in a congratulating way and walked back to the stands.

"Is there anything else I need to learn?" I asked.

"Nope. We can head on now," Thalia said. We got on our horses and rode out of the colosseum.

Today was a good day.
