Plan to Action

Austin's POV

At around midnight, Adam, Thalia and I snuck out of our tents and went to Cody's tent. He was sleeping with a dagger in his hand (which Thalia expertly removed from his clutches). Adam tied him up and I helped him lift Cody onto Thalia's donkey.

Adam and I rode behind Thalia and Cody as we approached the tree, which was miles away from camp. We tied him up and rode away as fast as we could.

We got back to the camp and Adam went into Ty's tent.

"Ty, wake up. We have to leave," he said, shaking him.

"Why?" Ty asked.

"I'll explain on the road," Adam said.

Ty muttered and got up, and I left Ty's tent and went into Ryan's tent.

"Wake up and get ready to leave. Adam will explain on the road," I said.

Thalia went into Bashur's tent and I went into Mitch and Jerome's tent.

"Doods! Wake up! Get ready to leave," I said.

"Why do we have to? I'm so cozy..." mumbled Jerome.

"Adam will explain on the road. Come on!" I said.

Jerome and Mitch both groaned in unison, but got out of their beds.

I left the tent and went into Ian's tent.

"Ian! Wake up!" I said. I shook him and he awoke.

"Huh?" he mumbled.

"We'll explain why when we're on the road," I said. "Just get up."

Ian got out of bed and began putting things in his backpack.

"As fast as you can," I said as I left.

I saddled up my horse and attached my saddle bag to its side. Soon, everyone was outside and on their horses.

"Hurry up, people. I'll explain all of this in the daylight," Adam said.

We galloped away and by the time the dawn arrived, we had been riding for more than three hours.

"Okay everyone. We left the campsite because of Cody," Adam told us.

"About that, why isn't Cody with us? Not that I miss him..." Ian said. "He called me a derpy squid."

"He knew about me being the king of the Budder Dimension, and I felt like he was endangering all of us," Adam said.

"Yeah, um, that's not good," Mitch said. He had his axe in one hand and his horse's reins in the other.

"We'll keep going until nightfall. By that time, we'll be far away from where we tied Cody up," Thalia said.

"Wait, you tied him up?" Bashur asked with surprise.

"Maybe..." I said, trying not to laugh.

"Nice!" cheered Jerome.

"Yup." I felt pretty pleased with Adam, Thalia and I.

As we continued to ride, the sun rose up in the sky like a big, fiery ball.

Today was a good day.
