"Psst! Sans! Are you awake?"

"Nooo."

"Good. I want deets about Bakugo."

"Whhyyy?"

Mina crept out of her bed and crept over to Sans bed. Her head peek over the edge like a cat. Sans was sprawled out on his stomach, eyes scrunched up, drool dribbling from his mouth, a couple pieces of hair was stuck in the corner of his mouth and the rest was all over the place, and one leg was sticking off the bed. Sans's right arm was pinned under his body and under his right was the sheets bundled up in a ball.

"San-sy~"

Sans opened his right eye, saw Mina's cat-like eye, closed his eye again, and burrowed his head under the cover.

"Nooooo."

Mina dragged Sans off his bed and winced when he hit the ground with a thud.

"Oooww."

"Sorry Sans."

"You're fine. I'm up."

Sans yawned and rubbed the back of his head.

"Hey Sans, did your hair grow?"

"Huh?"

Mina was right. Sans's hair was down to the bottom of his ears.

"Look's it. Why'd you wake me up again?"

"I can't sleep. I need deets on your relationship."

"I don't know what you want to hear."

"Is he cute when you two are alone? Does he treat you good?"

"He's a perfect gentleman."

"Who said "I love you" first?"

"What?"

Sans yawned, not catching what she said.

"Who said, "I love you" first."

"Neither of us? Is that important?"

Back in Snowdin, Monsters said it to their loved ones, but nobody said it out of necessity. Apparently, judging from the appalled look on Mina's face, it was VERY important.

"Sans, have you...have anyone ever said that to you?"

"What, "I love you?" Yeah, my bro. When we were younger, I was the more mature one out of me and my brother, despite our five year age gap. I would read him his favorite story, Peek-a-Boo with Fluffy Bunny, he would nod off and he would say it before conking out."

"What about your parents?"

"My Dad isn't really one to voice his emotions. He's a real hardcore man of science. Taught me everything I know."

"Okay, but he did show you love right?"

"What'd you mean?"

"Like, parental affection. Playing catch, going fishing, playing games, etc. Literally any activity."

"We did science experiments, and he would take me to the...market, when I was just a little babybones. We would search around for any spare tech and use them to build machines."

Yeah, when Sans was a babybones, Gaster would take him to the Garbage Dump to check if anything useful fell into the Underground. That's where he found Papyrus's storybook and most of their household items.

"That's it? You have to have some happy memories with your dad? Did he do anything with your brother?"

"Look, Mina. You wanted to ask about me and Katsuki's relationship. Not about my father."

Sans's tired eyes narrowed dangerously at Mina.

"This is so much more interesting."

"Too bad, so sad."

Sans started crawling back into bed, annoyed.

"Okay! I'll stop. So, what do you plan to get Bakugo for his birthday?"

"I don't even know when his birthday is."

"What? Really?"

"Yeah?"

"His birthday is April twentieth. When's your birthday?"

"April first."

"Seriously?"

"Yup. Now you know why I'm such a jokester."

Sans smirked proudly at his date of birth.

"Awesome. How'd you celebrate last year?"

"What do you mean?"

"Did you have a party?"

"No? The only birthday party I attended was Eiji's and it was cool."

"What about you? If Kiri didn't give you a birthday, I swear -"

"No. I never told him or his moms about my birthday. My family doesn't celebrate birthdays. Dad doesn't have time and I had stuff to do. Birthday parties are for children."

"What does that make Kiri? Or me? You're never too old for a party."

"Alright, you got me. I'm not a huge party person I guess."

Sans got to feet and yawned again. He felt bad that he unintentionally insulted his bro and best friend.

"Mina, I'm bone tired. I'm going back to sleep."

Sans flopped face first on his bed and shimmied under the covers. Within seconds, he was out like a light. Mina pulled out her phone and crept out of their room. She walked down the hall until she found the dining area and adjacent kitchen. She really wanted a midnight snack. She took a cookie from a plate that had been left out.

"Mina, what do you want? Do you know how late it is?"

"Sorry Kiri, but I got the biggest scoop on Sans."

"What?"

"He's never had a birthday party before."

"Yeah, I already knew that. He told me and my moms that he doesn't like celebrating."

"Since his birthday already passed, I want to throw him a super belated party! What d'ya think? Yay or nay."

"Mina, I love you, but Sans might not want a party. And how do you know his birthday passed?"

"He told me when it was. Ooo! Better idea! No belated party, but I'm going all out for his sixteenth!"

"Alright. I know I can't change your mind, so hell yeah! You'll throw the greatest sixteenth party ever, babe. Now I'm going back to bed. Oh wait! Before I do, when is my bro's birthday?"

"April first."

"HA! Go figure! Alright, I'll text my moms and the rest of the class. Night, babe."

"Night Kiri."

Mina hung up, finished her cookie and went off to bed.
