Y/n's P.O.V

"Eddie, I thought you were the safe one." I sighed in a joking manner, cleaning up the cuts on his body. He looked sad, and disappointed.

"Hey, you seem down. Is something wrong?" I placed my hand on his shoulder, shaking him slightly. He looked up at me, and I saw how sad he was.

"Eds. Please answer me."

I started to get worried. Sure, Eddie was quiet, but never around me. That's what he always told me, that I bring out the best in him.

"Love, come on. You gotta tell me what happened."

I bit my lip, as tears filled my eyes. This wasn't Eddie. This wasn't my Eddie.

"Bowers."

Eddie's voice came out as a whisper, but I was sitting close enough to hear it clearly.

"Bowers? What did he do?"

"He... he said things about you. Horrible things. H-he called you a slut," The word 'slut' came out as a whisper. "And he said he was gonna u-use you, in the most disgusting way! He started explaining what he'd do to you, but I had punched him at that point."

Tears flowed down my cheeks. Eddie, my Eddie, my precious, quiet, slightly shy Eddie, punched Henry Bowers.

To protect me.

I pulled Eddie into a tight hug. He was crying too. When we pulled away from the hug, you could see where our faces had been, due to massive tear stains on our shirts.

"Thank you, Eds. You stood up for me, even if it meant getting a black eye. I love you, so much."

"I love you too, y/n/n. And I'll always stand up for you. No matter the consequences."

Eddie placed his lips on mine, and I could feel them twitch into a smile as I kissed back. I pulled away, and Eddie pouted a bit.

'God, he's so fucking adorable!'

"Eddie, as much as I'd love to do this for hours, you're still bleeding. Your mother will have an aneurysm if she sees you like this."

He nodded, but I could still see the disappointment on his face.

"I promise we'll continue that after."

His face lit up, and I smiled at his excitement as I finished cleaning and bandaging the cuts.

As I put the last bandaid on, I leaned over and whispered in Eddie's ear.

"Now, where were we?"
