𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖙𝖊𝖗 2: 𝕾𝖆𝖞 𝖎𝖙 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝖆 𝕯𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖒?

I wished it was all a dream, but it wasn't everything was real. Next door, where the boys were, there was a scream. That was the boys' scream, I was surprised at how high-pitched their scream was.
But I had to focus on the crime scene that lay in front of me and my sister. Blood, still wet and dripping down the side of every wall, I didn't have any doubt that this was the blood from my father, whom lay by my feet dead and lifeless, blood streaming out from his head, back and chest, his face which was deathly pale, it was obvious that he'd been stabbed numerous times. I had no idea what I should do. All I was doing was looking at the lifeless corpse that had once been my father. That's when I looked at my fathers' fingers. They created a sort of design. It was like three lines and a circle. It was certainly strange. There was only one thing we could do. Call the police and get the heck out of this creepy flat.
I pulled at Skye's arm, trying to get her away from the scene, but she, didn't look like herself, although her face was deathly pale, her eyes were glassy. My first thought was a panic attack until I saw her eyes, they became a different colour, it was red, but also blue, and yellow. What was happening? Panic arose through my skin. I didn't know what to do, Skye looked half possessed but her eyes were moving from left to right as if she was reading something. I knew I had to call someone, preferably the police, but the only way to do so was to leave Skye and go by my-self.
I ran out of the flat and waited outside the door, I wouldn't just leave my twin, possessed or not. She was my twin and I won't go anywhere without her. I knew that I will come back for her. When outside, I found a boy outside of I was guessing his parents' apartment. But, he wasn't with the other boy, it was only one... But it just had to be the better-looking boy...
He was looking quite pale too. He was talking quickly into his phone. I was guessing he was talking to the police as he was giving details of himself and the flat. Right there and then, I swear I could've slapped myself, why on earth was I just standing here when I could get the authorities involved to help me.
I searched in my bag for my phone. Damn... I must've left it at school. I cursed silently under my breath. Shortly after, the boy came off the phone. I decided to talk to him. Since it was my only choice.
"Hey, um... there," I said quietly trying to get his attention. He... I think he ignored me... Or did he not notice me? Either way to me it was rude. I cursed silently underneath my breath again. Did I mention I'm shy as hell and... kind of have a phobia of people. So, mustering all the confidence I had, I tapped him lightly on his shoulder, hoping that this would catch his attention. When I'd tapped him, he jumped and spun round to face me. But, as he did, the door leading to a corridor slammed, this time making me jump, and also scaring the life out of me and he turned to face me.
We both cleared our throats awkwardly.
"Um..." I began, "Something happened in there," I pointed to inside the flat, "And left my phone in there," I pointed in the direction of the school, "Could I please use your phone to call the police?" I stammered and blushed the way I do with everyone.
Somehow, I felt like we were connected in some way... but I had no idea how and something told me that this wasn't the last time I was going to encounter him.
"Um... Sure," he replied fishing his phone back out of his pocket and giving it to me.
Obviously, I called the police first and explained the situation and our address, hoping that the police would come soon, luckily the police station wasn't too far.
I gave him back his phone.
"Shadow," he said, a small amount of colour had now returned to his face.
I stared at him in confusion. He sighed and repeated, "My name is Shadow." he pointed in the apartment, " He's Harley," he claimed.
"Oh," I replied blushing as I did so, "My name is Cate, and she's," I pointed inside our flat," She's Skye," I said trying to make small talk.
It was only then that I realised that Skye was still in the flat, I gave him a quick glance hoping he'd understand that I was going in the apartment before giving him a quick apologetic gaze and rushing inside. I couldn't bear the fact that my father had gone, and that I'd never been able to talk to him ever again.
He's done a lot for us, but for some reason, he disliked me compared to Skye; I was always second best in his eyes.
Once inside the apartment, I realised that Skye was standing there still, but had no longer had that possessed look about her. I shook her slowly. Her eyes went flickering around the room before she met mine, finally coming back to her senses.
"We have to get out of here," I told her as firmly as I could. She gave a quick affirmative nod as I continued, "The police are coming and we're all going to be okay. Okay?" I knew she was still in shock by what had just happened right in front of our eyes and I ushered her out of the flat and into the hallway. Just as I left, something in the corner of the room caught my eye, it was a piece of paper but it was burnt around the edges and there was something shiny on the paper, so as soon as I got her outside, I went back for the paper. It was in Dad's handwriting so I gave a quick scan of it.
Dear, Cate.
A part of it was cut off and burnt but. . . It was addressed to me! What was it about? Next to it was another piece.

The last part caught me off guard.
