"... I'm going to visit and talk to your grandmother." ____ said in a serious expression.

"What?! Are you serious?" Charlenne exclaimed as her eyes widened at ____'s statement.

"Yes. There should be a reason behind it on why this happened. So, I shall visit her tomorrow." ____ said.

"Oh, no you don't. It's going to cause a lot of trouble. You don't have to do that." Charlenne replied.

"Oh, I will. I'll still go whether you like it or not to end this problem once and for all." ____ stated stubbornly.

After a long argument between the two, Charlenne just gave up in defeat because of ____'s unending stubbornness. (A/N: Well, that escalated quickly.)

-Soon-

____ went to the address given by Charlenne, an address to Charlenne's house. As she went to the directions said, she stopped to see a huge gate right in front of her and there also stood a big mansion.

Rich people...

"Are you a guest or client of some sort?" A guard questioned as he saw me from the other side of the gate.

"Um... I'm Charlenne's friend. I need to talk to her grandmother." ____ answered.

"I'm sorry, miss. She's not here toda-"

"Looking for me?" Both of their attention went to see who said it. It was Charlenne's grandmother, who is in a rich black car while the car window was opened, which it revealed herself.

"Yes. I need to talk to you, Ma'am." ____ said as she looked at her.

"It's a waste of time... unless you have a decent reason for it." Charlenne's grandmother said in a serious tone.

"It's about Charlenne." ____ replied with a serious expression on her face. Charlenne's grandmother then is in her thinking state for a couple of seconds while silence is covering the atmosphere.

"Alright. But it better be an important explanation. Guards, let her in." She said as she demanded the guards, which they obediently followed her orders.

"I'll be there in a minute. I have things to finish for a while quickly." And with that, the luxurious car left.

I wonder why she looked like in her 40's rather than her 80's... ____ thought, but she just shook it off and just entered through the gates and to the mansion.

As ____ entered the mansion, big gold and crystal chandelier lights were surrounding the building, royal red carpet floors were covered on the ground, and walls that are coated with rich marble design.

Wow...

____ looked around, scanning the paintings or displays on the walls while continued walking through the hallway. She then stopped her tracks as she noticed a portrait. It was a family portrait, consist of a man, a woman, and a little girl.

"This must be..."

"Charlenne's parents and herself." Charlenne's grandmother suddenly continued ____'s sentence as she also looked at the picture beside her.

"M-Ma'am?!" ____ exclaimed as she was surprised.

Since when did she get here?! ____ questioned herself in her thought.

"Why so surprised?" Charlenne's grandmother questioned as she looked at ____.

"Um, I'm really surprise that it's Charlenne in the portrait." ____ answered as she let out a nervous laugh.

"Oh. Well, let's have our talk in the living room now, dear. I still have things to do." Charlenne's grandmother said and with that, both of them went to the living room.

"You still work even with your age?" ____ questioned as she sat down on the sofa while Charlenne's grandmother is sittingat the other sofa, facing ____.

"Yes. Since my son and my daughter-in-law, which is Charlenne's parents, is deceased, I took charge of the company." She answered.

"Oh. Then, Charlenne will soon be in charge of the company?" ____ questioned.

"Yes. She's the only child." Charlenne's grandmother answered.

"Well, you see, Ma'am. Your granddaughter went to my house yesterday, crying. I heard from her that the both of you had some sort of fight. So, may I ask on what caused this fight?" ____ asked.

"Why do you need to know?" Charlenne's grandmother said, refraining to answer.

"Ma'am, your granddaughter is crying and hurtly depressed. You kicked her out. I don't want her to be lonely and sad. Your her only family member." ____ explained as her tone is slightly showing a hint of worry.

"You know that she's not the only one who's lonely and sad." Charlenne's grandmother replied as she looked at me with a serious expression.

"My son. He's the nicest and most hardworking son eversince he was a child. Even if we live in a rich lifestyle, he doesn't need help and does it himself. I'm really happy that he would always focus on his studies and goals but I'm also irritated when he would always not focus on his family. But, he actually improved everything by himself." Charlenne's grandmother explained.

*Flashback*

"And for our valedictorian is none other than Chris Chen!" The announcer said as all clapped and Charlenne's father went up the stage and with that, he took his medal and certificate and started giving his speech.

"Congratulations, dear!" Charlenne's grandmother said as she hugged her son.

"Mom..." Chris called.

"Ne?"

"I'm sorry..."

"For what, dear?"

"For not having family time with you. But, the reason why is because I really want to do my best to make you proud and I want to help my family." Chris said.

Charlenne's grandmother was strucked when she heard his statement. She was really happy when she heard it and it brought her to tears.

"You don't have to be number one, Chris. I'm glad that you still care for us." She said as she hugged him again as Chris also hugged her as well.

"I'm sure your future wife will be very lucky." She said as she let out a giggle as Chris chuckled in response.

*End of Flashback*

"Eversince his death, I was really depressed and I always thought that why does he have to die and not me?..." Charlenne's grandmother said as her face saddened.

"I-I'm sorry..." ____ said as her face saddened as well.

"And... I don't really mean to kick her out." Charlenne's grandmother added.

"What?"

"Whenever I see my granddaughter, she always reminded me of my son, it made me remember my son's death, that's why I would act grumpy and serious..." Charlenne's grandmother explained.

"I was actually happy that she told me all of the truth about her, but I was actually disappointed when she disrespected me by answering back at me and not telling me properly." Charlenne's grandmother added.

*Flashback*

"Fine!" And with that, Charlenne stomped out of the house.

Why is she shouting at me? If she wants to break off the engagement, she should tell Taehyung's parents about it since me and her mother both made an agreement. I was going to tell that to my granddaughter, but the way she talked to me is disrespectful... Charlenne's grandmother said in her thought.

*End of Flashback*

"So, you accept her even if she's a homosexual after all?" ____ asked.

"Lesbian, bisexual, or even crazy, I still accept her because she's still my granddaughter." She answered.

"I just don't accept her attitude yesterday..." Charlenne's grandmother added.

"Ma'am, you will have to talk to your granddaughter about this..." ____ requested as she stood up.

After all this time, it was all a misunderstanding... ____ thought.

"But why do you look young though?" ____ questioned.

"Oh, I don't know, dear. I just always took care of my skin." Charlenne's grandmother said as she let out a giggle.
