Chapter 35
Third person's pov
Jungkook awoke with a starl, his chest heaving with each rapid breath. A nightmare. It had become a routine these days.
He would see Taehyung cladded with blood, lifeless, and it would scare him so much that even after waking up, his hands wouldn't stop shaking.
Beads of perspiration clung to his forehead.
As he became aware of his surroundings, the familiar warmth of Taehyung's presence enveloped him like a shield.
In the dimly lit tent, he saw the outline of his beloved alpha, stirring from his own sleep.
The sound of Jungkook's heavy breathing did not escape Taehyung's ears, and without a word, he got up from his bed and moved closer to jungkook, instinctively knowing that his mate needed comfort.
"What's wrong Luna?" He said as he sat beside jungkook.
Jungkook's heart ached with the intensity of the nightmare's residue, but he couldn't find the words to explain it.
Instead, of speaking he threw himself in Taehyung's arms, closing his eyes.
Taehyung was taken a little back due to the sudden hug but without a word, he started caressing Jungkook's back.
Taehyung's fingertips traced soothing patterns along Jungkook's back, his touch a balm against the remnants of the nightmare's grip.
In that tender moment, no words were necessary.
Jungkook buried his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck, seeking refuge from the haunting echoes of the nightmare.
Taehyung's voice, a soft caress against Jungkook's ear, broke the stillness, " Do you want to talk about it ?"
Jungkook shook his head, still buried in Taehyung's arms, "I-I don't w-want to rem-member it ag-gain. "
" It's ok shh, " Taehyung said in a gently voice, still rubbing his back gently.
In that fragile moment, Jungkook found solace in Taehyung's unwavering love.
The nightmare's grip gradually loosened, replaced by the warmth of their connection.
In Taehyung's arms, he felt protected, understood, and cherished.
With a soft touch, Taehyung guided Jungkook to sit on the edge of the his bed, his hand supporting the small of his back.
He then poured a glass of water and handled it to jungkook.
"Here, Luna drink it "
Jungkook took the glass into his trembling hands and as the liquid cascaded down Jungkook's throat, it seemed to be bringing back the colour of his face.
Once Jungkook had quenched his thirst, Taehyung gently took the glass from his hands, setting it aside with the utmost care.
As the moonlight cascaded gently through the window, Taehyung's eyes lingered on Jungkook, observing the remnants of unease that clung to his features.
With a tender touch, Taehyung reached out and clasped Jungkook's hand in his own.
" Jungkook, do you want to go for a walk? "
Jungkook turned his head towards Taehyung, he thought for sometime before saying, "Hmm let's go, but first let me wear my viel. "
Jungkook said as he got up from the bed, picking up the viel that was on the side table,
However, as Jungkook attempted to secure the veil in place, he encountered a small struggle with tying the intricate knots.
Without hesitation, Taehyung stepped closer, his hands reaching out to assist with the task. He gently told Jungkook to remove his hands and started to tie the knots.
As the last knot was secured, Taehyung stepped back to admire his handiwork.

As they walked, the moonlight painted everything in soft shades of silver and indigo, creating a world of contrasts.
Gentle streams meandered through the terrain, their gentle murmurs a melodic symphony that accompanied Taehyung and Jungkook's steps.
The sound of their footsteps, muffled by a carpet of fallen leaves, seemed to harmonize with the whispers of nature, creating a timeless rhythm.
Taehyung's gaze often drifted toward Jungkook, his heart swelling with admiration for the ethereal beauty that seemed to radiate from within his mate.
The moon's glow painted Jungkook's features with a touch of celestial radiance, transforming him into an otherworldly being.
As they continued their nocturnal stroll amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery, Taehyung's touch on Jungkook's back was nothing short of divine.
They didn't said anything, both of them were just happy to be with eachother.
The next day,
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the land, the Lendorreians felt a renewed surge of energy.
Victory was within their grasp, and they fought with newfound vigor and determination.
And then, as if the universe itself acknowledged their resilience and unwavering spirit, the tides of battle began to turn.
The Lendorreians pushed forward, breaking through the Devontae Kingdom's defense, and the enemy forces began to falter.
With a mighty roar, the Lendorreians rallied around Taehyung and Jungkook, their luna and alpha.
In a moment that felt like an eternity, the battlefield fell silent as the last echoes of war faded away.
The dust settled, and the realization of victory washed over the Lendorreians like a soothing wave.
With tears of joy glistening in his eyes, Taehyung turned to Namjoon, his voice filled with emotion.
"We did it, Appa. We won."
He said as he threw himself in Namjoon's arms, who hugged him back more tightly, Namjoon's tears touched Taehyung's cheeks.
