Rhea POV

I can now tick going to jail off my bucket list as that was where I was heading. I was now at the back of a police car, a place which I did not predict that I would end up. Obviously, Pia needed to work on her talent so things like this wouldn't happen. Despite the police identifying me as the thief, it wasn't Kane who exposed where I was; instead it was my number hater, Tash. After calling out my name, she led me forward so I would be handcuffed and stuffed into a vehicle. I hope she didn't expect me to invite her over to my house for dinner.

"Are we there yet?" I asked from the backseat.

I got no response. The ride dragged on and on with no indication that it was going to end. I stared out of the window, trying to find something that could distract me from the fact I was going to jail. However, it was too early in the morning for anyone to be walking around.

Eventually, the car halted outside a large building that made me feel like a child who got caught stealing candy. It was still dark and it made the place look much creepier than it should have been. As we walked in, I saw that there were quite a few people around, probably drunk from celebrating the New Year.

I kept my head down, not wanting people to see the girl in a gold dress who had stolen a car. Once the questioning was done, with me arguing that I didn't steal the car but borrowed it, I was eventually dumped into a holding cell until further notice. So I sat down on the floor in the plain box that only had a bed and chair. Obviously, Kane would come and sort this out asap.

I was wrong.

Time went past and it was almost midday before I even saw anyone come into the room which I was in, along with 7 other people. The officers that had been watching us switched with some new guys who would be on watch for the day. An officer who looked around my age or a bit older came to stand near my cell. He cocked an eyebrow as if to ask why I was here. I shrugged. He stood in front of the bars but decided to start a conversation.

"No offence, but you don't look like the usual we get here."

"Of course not," I replied. I noticed he had a phone in his pocket and then a plan came into my head. I pressed my body against the bars, hoping it would distract him. He was a guy and I was a girl so it wouldn't be a crime that I used my assets to get out of the cell.

He audibly gulped as I looked up at him through my eyelashes. "So... uhm... what did you do to get in here?"

I wanted to laugh but controlled myself as I started using my magyk to get the phone to float out of his pocket without causing him to feel it. "Well, I decided to borrow a car but got caught."

"Wow," he whispered looking at me with admiration. Right on time, I caused his walkie-talkie to signal someone wanted to talk to him, giving orders that he should check some people in a different wing. The guy stared at me for a minute before going.

I quickly unlocked his phone as there was no password and dialled the only number I knew off by heart. After the third ring, Pia picked up.

"Who may I ask is this?"

"Pea, it's Rhea."

"Crazy turnips! Where have you been? Your mom is super worried. I didn't care but-"

"I get it. I need you to get Kane because I'm stuck in jail," I said mumbling the last part.

"JAIL?! What did you do?"

"I'll explain later. Just get Kane."

I hung up not wanting the other people to realise i could talk to the outside world. Then, the waiting game began.

Finally, Kane came in flanked with two police officers who unlocked my cell door. He rushed towards me, pulling me into a hug. I couldn't move my arms but allowed him to embrace me. I saw that his nose was a bit crooked from where I punched him and I couldn't help the small grin that came to my face then I got angry.

"Where the f*ck have you been?"

Kane sighed, showing signs that he hadn't slept in a while. "My mom's in hospital. I had to go and look after before I could even get to you." I was sceptical and it must have shown on my face. "I know you may not believe me but we can go and see her if you want."

"No. It's fine... Where's the b*tc- I mean Tash?" I asked, wondering where the snake was.

"I don't know. I don't care. I know you don't like her so don't worry. I will hang out with her less often and spend more time with you." He looked so serious that I almost cried. 1-0 to Rhea.

"You don't have to," I replied. As much as I disliked her, she was his friend even if it was a friend that had the hots for my boyfriend.

He shook his head. "It's fine. You're more important and I owe you an apology so I got you something."

I didn't know whether to be excited or wary. What could it be this time? A spoon without a handle? Money from a different country? Roses without petals? Or a pot without a-

"We're going to London."

I was amazed. Was it a joke? Kane brought out two plane tickets from his pocket grinning at my shock. I took one and saw that we would be spending a weekend there. Then my excitement came.

"Oh my god! Kane, thank you!" I said into his neck as I hugged him. His chest vibrated with laughter. I leaned back and stared into his eyes to see them glowing with happiness. Slowly, our faces moved closer and closer...

"Sorry to disturb but can I have my phone back?"
