Rhea's POV

"Me?"

"You."

"Me?"

"Yes, you."

"Why?"

"Because I have no one else to invite. And my brother may have mentioned you to my dad who now wants to meet you."

"And you can't invite a model or something?"

"Do you want me to? Besides, you look like a model."

I stopped walking and Hadrian did the same. He was trying to invite me to some annual social event which his family held that he was being forced to attend while I was trying to get to my lesson in the lab.

"Hadrian, this is your fault, you know. I didn't ask you to hit Kane with your car and now his leg is broken. And it doesn't help that you told his mum that you were my new boyfriend. So she thinks I'm a h*e and-"

"I get it," he said raising his hands. "I f*cked up. But he had it coming."

I frowned at him. "What possessed you to do it?"

"Nothing possessed me. I decided to do karma's job. Is that a sin?"

"You put a guy in hospital."

"I also put people in hell."

"You could have killed him."

"I don't see the problem with that."

I sighed. We had finally reached where my class was to begin. Hadrian raised an eyebrow at me.

"Yes or no?"

"I'll think about it."

I left him outside and entered the lab room. He shouted after me.

"Your answer better be yes!"

I rolled my eyes then sat in my seat at the back. My partner, Ellie, looked at me with surprise. I was getting uncomfortable by her gaze.

"What?" I asked slightly irritated.

She pointed to the door. "You know Hadrian DiRomero?"

"Yes?"

Our professor started the lesson explaining what we would be doing in the next few weeks but Ellie continued talking.

"You are so lucky!" She gushed. "He's super cute. Like those eyes!"

I ignored the temptation of slapping her. Not because I was jealous. Because I wasn't. At all. I just don't like her talking about him like that, you know. How did a human girl know more about him than I did? She leaned closer to me, her voice dropping to a whisper.

"I heard that his dad works with the President. And that Hadrian has dated 40 girls so far...well, including flings. And-"

"That's enough, El. I get it. He's a player."

She looked slightly shocked at my interruption. "Oh. Anyway, what was he asking you?"

"Something that I shouldn't go to," I mumbled. Ellie strained to hear me then huffed as she didn't figure it out. I ignored her as my phone vibrated.

Unknown: Yes or no?

I looked at the text knowing exactly who it was.

Rhea: Hadrian? How did you even get my number???

Unknown: Doesn't matter. Now answer the question

Rhea: I don't want to go! I won't know anyone

Unknown: You know me

Rhea: I've seen you for three days

Unknown: It's either you come willingly or I will f*cking dress you myself and bring you

I blushed at the thought of him dressing me. That wasn't an option.

Rhea: I have work to do

Unknown: I'll do it for you

Rhea: Seriously?

Unknown: I'm slightly insulted, princess

Rhea: Sorry. But I don't have anything to wear

Unknown: I'll sort it out. Is that it?

I sighed out load, receiving some stares from people around me. Looking down at my book with embarrassment, I replied quickly.

Rhea: I'm NOT going. Your dad told you to go so go by yourself. Bye.

I switched off my phone to listen to the remaining 30 minutes of the lesson.

I walked out of the lab to smack into a wall. A wall that was called Hadrian. I tried to go round him but he caught my wrist and backed me to the wall. He placed his hands on either side of my body, effectively trapping me. I had to look up due to out height difference.

"No," I said before he even asked.

"I was gonna ask if you wanted your dress but if you want to go naked that's completely fine with me."

I flushed and narrowed my eyes at him. "I. Don't. Want. To. Go."

"I. Don't. F*cking. Care," he said leaning closer. "I have to go because of your boyfriend so you're going to suffer with me."

I was distracted by his closeness and the changing colour of his eyes. I closed my own to focus. "Why don't you just ask one of your 40 old girlfriends? I'm sure they'll be happy to help."

"What girlfriends?" He sounded genuinely confused.

"It's not true?"

"The 40 'girlfriends'?"

My eyes opener to see Ellie passing us. She froze, her eyes wide open. Then I realised what it must have looked like to her. I ducked under his arm and slowly walked towards the exit.

"Bye Ellie! Bye Hadrian!" I waved to them then began to sprint.

Until a muscular arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back. Hadrian chained me to him using his arms. I tried to wriggle out of his grip but he didn't budge.

"Do you eat steel for breakfast?" I huffed.

"No, I eat cereal like every other person. Now, what 40 girlfriends?"

I caught sight of Ellie leaving the building I had just ran out of. I pointed to her. "She said it, not me."

My back was still glued to Hadrian's chest so I couldn't see what he was doing. I guessed he was rolling his eyes. He released me then made his way towards Ellie. I followed him, wondering what he was up to.

"Excuse me," he called to her. I grabbed onto his shirt trying to stop him.

"Leave her alone," I hissed as he got closer. Hadrian peeled my hands off him then whispered a spell that caused me to be stuck where I stood. "What the hell?!"

Finally, he reached Ellie, a couple metres from me. My lab partner became hypnotise when she saw him, grinning like a clown. I folded my arms in frustration.

"You're Rhea's partner, right?" He said.

"Yeah," she responded dreamily.

"I would like to clarify a few things. One, I've never had 40 girlfriends. That's too many, even for me. Two, you see that girl over there frozen in one spot?" Ellie looked at me when he pointed and nodded. "That's my girlfriend."

Fact: I have never said any swear word out loud in any language including English

^ it seems unbelievable but it's 100% true XD I'm such a good girl

So Hadrian has claimed his girl... BUT I'm not that nice. You guys know this. And that is why I shall leave you to wonder what Nyx is up to as I am not telling you.
