That night i stayed in Thomas's spare bed. We didnt really talk but we watched maze runner scorch trials. We had no idea where this path would take us - was getting together the right thing to do ... 'shes my best friend' thats all i kept thinking. I couldnt put our friendship on the line for some boy. Could i? 😆

A few days had passed and i have officially broken up with Jacob and got with Thomas. Rose still isnt talking to me (wonder why😜😜) and Thomad has just asked me out on our first date and i cant even talk to my best friend about it! Its tonight and i have to pick out something super cute! No pressure then... i have to decide on my own but then i get a special call.

"Hey lily is this you?" A familiar voice said to me over the phone.
"Erm im sorry but who is this?"  I questioned.
"Open your dorm door." I didnt know who this person was and i had a bunch of clothes in my hand but i just headed fpr the door anyway.
"SHANNON!!" i yelled.

Shannon was my best friend in my old town where i use to live before my mom died. It had been ages. I dropped everything out of my hand and hugged her. I told her about Thomas and we had a quick catch up... the thing that i questioned was how she knew my phone number and what school i go to. I soon learned that she'd moved to our town a few days ago and aftet seeing my brother in a shop he gave her my number and it just so happens shes starting our school! RESULT...🙂 I told her all about my date tonight and she had the perfect outfit idea ... nothing to posh of course but still looks fab....

And a bit of makeup ....

I get dressed and let Shannon curl my hair while i get my shoes on ... then theres a knock at the door. I rush over trying to look presentable and its Thomas.

He steps back. "What are you doing?" I question.
"Oh dont mind me im just taking in the beautiful view ive just encountred." I giggle and give Shannon a hug goodbye. We hold hands and chat all the way ... i have no clue where hes taking me but i have this funny feeling that tonight was going to be amazing. It was a cold night but as the exitement washed over me like a wave i cant really feel anything. We walk for around 10 minutes but as we approach Thomas tells me to close my eyes while he guides me. I keep tight hold of him just incase i fall.

"Okay open." He says in that cute scottish accent. I almost fall over the scenery...

I practically ran half way and stopped ,there was a picnic layed out with little candles around it. Romantic! We sat down and i slipped off my shoes and dangled them into the water ... Thomas did this too. A picnic under the stars, candle lit, feet half in the water and spending all this time with my favourite person. Thomas cleared his throat as whispred just three words... "i love you!" I kiss his lips ... slightly cold they were and he pulls me into a hug. "The perfect first date..." i say and i was definatly right. I didnt want this night to end ... Thomas looks at me with his deep loving eyes and kisses me again ... he all i could ever want.

He's thoughtful, kind and loving - what else could i want. But this night was just about to take a turn for the worst. There was a faint mumbling in the distance and it grew louder and louder until the people making the noise were stood right in front of us.

"Jacob! What in the world are you doing here?" I questioned.
"You stole her from me!" Jacob yelled.
"Oy, you better have a good reason for-" Thomas was cut off by the swinging fist of Jacob coming straight at him. He ducked and punched him in his eye. Jacob pounced at me knocking me in the river, without a second thought Thomas jumped in after me and pulled me out. I was shivering so Thomas gave me his coat, stood up and punched Jacob so hard in the nose he ran away almost crying.

**the next day**
I woke up to someone knocking at the door... as i approached and opened the door there stood Thomas with chocolates and flowers.
"Hope this makes up for the worst first date ever!" He says with a smirk.
"Worst date ever? No it was amazing i loved it." He walked into my dorm and i kissed him.
"Thomas, i have to go." I say with a whimpering voice.
"Go? Go where?" He asks
"Leave, go - get out of this place, ive heard of a place in Florida and thats where im headding. Theres a hotel ive booked and my ferry leaves at 1 this afternoon. Im sorry." I kiss him again.
"Honey, no is this because of Jacob. You cant handle it anymore?" He pulls me into a hug as he knows he's correct.
"1pm? Ill be there. I promise. Im coming with you."

**1pm at the ferry**
I can see Thomas in the distance running towards me and the he lifts me off my feet and spins me around.
"Babe i know what you need. Im taking you on holiday." He says ... and then kisses me. Hes probally right. I wasnt that sure about going to Florida anyway.
"Where are we going?" I ask
"A little island in Scotland. Where i grew up." He says. Its a new journey for us even if it is for a little while.
