"Please just give me time to explain." My so called father said to us, " i didn't mean to leave you both at such a young age." He began to stutter ... Jake and i could both tell he was starting to get emotional we both look at each other at the same time.

"Say what you have to say and then we leave." I said in a angry but sturn voice.
"You think you can leave one day and then come back like almost 16 years later expecting us to welcome you back with open arms? No way-Lily wont remember you as she was like 2 maby younger when you left but i do." Jake said. Our 'father' put his head towards the floor and then sat down on Runa's sofa.
"Im sorry - but its not what you think. Please just give me a couple of hours of you time for me to explain." Jake and i agreed. " around 14 years ago when that group of went around poisoning people, many familys got seperated as did ours. I tried looking for you for years and then one day my boss got in contact and asked me into work - i am a doctor and it was very unusual for my boss to just ring me like that. As i arrived he told me that i had to go to england for 5 years to find a cure for all this madness. During these five years i did a sideline job of attempting to find you again - i got a call on November the 5th 2013 saying your mother had been killed but they wouldnt tell me where they took you two to stay. But now ive finally found you - im so sorry it took all this time ... i never ment to leave." I saw tears in my fathers eyes. Jake tried to take it all in but he needed some time to think so i asked Runa if Jake and i could go for a walk and come back in half an hour or so - she agreed sort of! Before we left our 'father' went back into the kitchen with Runa leaving his bag on the floor - here was my chance i took a quick look and found a bundle of cards. I took them all.

We walked into the local town and went for a coffee - conversation was hard to start up so i went first.
"Jake, what are we ment to do? Hes our father." I said.
"Lily i have a bad feeling about him-we need to do some digging before we know for sure hes our father." I showed the cards to Jake and we took half a pile each - there were some really strange things and it was Jake who found the right card. It was a folded up copy of my father all his details and everything but ... one thing that baffled us both was the name written at the bottom it wasnt english.

"Jake we should go to the library and do some research." He aggreed. The name was in Bulgarian and read 'Джейсън Сарес' but in english it said 'Jason Sarez.' We then went on to do some reseach and turned out to be a name of  a company in Bulgaria. Who was this man? - on the back of one of the cards it was a login for  familytree.com and we found it ... what we descovered would change our lives forever.

Mason Brooks married to Jessica Brooks 1987-2001 ... remarried to Fiona Brooks 2003-present day.
Children: Jake Brooks, Lily Brooks, Tyler Brooks and Sofia Brooks.

After reading this Jake and i looked at each other and he pulled me into a hug. This man walks back into our lives making up some story when all along he actually left my mother and married someone else ... plus having kids😑

"Jake i cant stay here. Please can we go back to school now ... i cant face seeing him." I asked.
"Sure! I cant bare to see he either."
And with that we hopped back onto a bus all the way to school!

** My dorm **
Things had changed and not for the good reasons. My room had totally be turned upside down ... every inch trashed, but this wasn't like Jacob. It looked like who ever had done this had been searching for something ... but what. I yelled for Jacob but no reply - it was only 3pm and they should have been back from the field trip by now, so i yelled again

Silence ....

Silence ....

Still no reply. I headed to Thomas's dorm and see if he wad back and oh yes he was ... so where was Jacob. Thomas let me in so i could call him off his phone as i'd ran out of credit. No answer - voicemail!!

I turned the corner and headed for the sports hall as it was right next to the cafè. What i saw was dreadful -----
"Jacob?" I yelped. There he was kissing another girl! I ran for it ... heading back to Thomas's dorm. I didnt knock, i just stormed in and he knew not to say a word ... but just hug me! This may have not been the best choice as Rose walked in! She took one look, spun around and walked out with tears in her eyes. Thomas has this guilty look on his face ...

But then we both started laughing. I did feel bad afterward though.😏🙄

Im so sorry i havent updated in AGES!!🙂 been super busy. But hope u like this extra long chapter. Lov ya 💕💕 This chapter is not fully about starting a new life but she takes on the pressure of dumping her bf and her father in one day!
