"I have to say, this is a great improvement but it would be better if you'd let him come to the hospital" the doctor said to my mom.

Mom had been crying since Ben woke up, it was more like tears of joy but Dotun said it was just unnecessary.

I was so happy that Ben had finally opened his eyes. He could only smile weakly at us and said just few words.
Dotun said if he had the chance he would have taught the doctor a lesson for telling us there was an high chance of memory loss.

Williams informed us that he'd have to go back to Abuja since Ben was recovering and Dotun told me he was glad because Williams seemed to be 'bossing' around.

"but he's the eldest na " I frowned at him but he only pushed me away.

I had strangely totally recovered from my strange illness or whatever it was. My mom told me it was because Ben had recovered.

She felt sad that all of us would soon go back leaving only she and Tife behind.

Three days after Ben's recovery.
We were seated in the hospital's room, Dotun, Ben and I.

"Guy, I'm just so happy that you've recovered " Dotun said to Ben.

" ehya " Ben dryly answered.

" no guy, I'm serious, there is this hot babe I secured for you "

" guy, talk true " Ben's eyes stuck on his bandaged head lit up.
Didn't he just just recover from a coma?

"I swear, the babe's ass is mad bro" Dotun answered with a smile.

"how many weeks would it take before I leave this bed? " Ben asked with a frown.

" have you guys like forgotten I'm here " I rolled my eyes.

" you.. I don't have time for you yet, shey you're dating that guy and you didn't tell me about it " Dotun smirked at me

" oh God, since you already know, there's no need talking about it " I laughed.
" anyways, Ben I'll have to go back to school soon, hurry up and get well quick "

It was so nice to be back to school, exam was like some weeks from now, I was so glad that my first year in school would be over soon.

" I can't wait to see those choir mistresses " Debra squealed as we parked the car.

I was also eager to see them again, Aisha didn't show anything though, she only kept on talking about Josh.

" Bless the name of the Lord , Anu come and see.. They are back " Rona screamed as she opened the door for us.

"why is she screaming?" Aisha asked me.

Debra was enveloped in a big hug. Rona practically choked her.
"I've missed you so much "

Anu came out, smiling in all her glory.
She gave me this warm short hug and then smiled at Aisha.

" you girls didn't tell us you'd come today " she says to me.

" yeah, we wanted to surprise you both " I answered.

We walked in dragging our bags behind.

Aisha was stuck in Rona's arm, I could hear grumbling.
" can you just leave me alone "

" I've missed you so much, I had always prayed that God would keep you all safe, you especially " Rona rambled.

It was quite obvious that Rona was fond of Aisha and it seemed the same for Aisha only that Aisha preferred to keep it hidden.

" it's not like we spent a year there" Aisha answered dryly as she tore herself away from Rona.

"how's your brother " she asked me.

" he's fine " I smiled at her.

" you should say 'he's fine, all glory to God' " she corrected.

"oh God, we are back to this" Debra face palmed.

The next day, we went for classes and I had to repeatedly apologise to my friends for making them skip school but they waved it off. Debra particularly reminded me that she had always wanted to be a drop out.

I had not seen Olivia since I got back but I had come across Jenny on two occasions, she just gave me this dangerous smile before walking away.

I was going to the library this particular afternoon.

"Benita "
Someone yelled.

I turned back, it was Nk, it felt like it's been ages I last saw her.

" Nk, what's up? " I smiled wildly as she walked towards me.

"I'm fine, how have you been? It's been long as I last saw you" she grinned.

"yeah, I know right, how are you? " it was a good thing she was no longer angry at me.

" I'm fine and ohh, I heard about you and Michael or is Timi.... Anyway, I heard you both are official" she smirked.

"yeahhh and Nk I'm really sorry if you're uncomfortable with that " It was a good thing I apologised right?

" it's nothing, I've moved on and I swear you guys are really cute together " she smiled. Her smile looked teasing, oh well.

We talked for a while before I finally decided to leave for the library, I had a lot of reading to do since I had missed a lot.

Anu had asked me to go shopping with her because there was this crusade she wanted to attend.
Of course, Rona was like 'vanity upon vanity' because she claimed there was no need to buy new clothes.

Luckily for me, Timi was around and I asked him to accompany me.

"where exactly are we going to?" he asked.

"Tim's Lake mall " Anu answered.

" why can't we go somewhere else? " Timi frowned.

" I haven't been there before and their things are of good quality " she answered.

Timi smiles " you can say that again pumpkin "

He drove us both to the shopping mall and all through, Anu remained quiet.
He severally whispered to me that Anu is dumb because she was just too quiet.
At a point, she heard him and strongly disagreed telling us that God didn't make her dumb.

We finally got to the mall.

"is it really necessary I follow you girls inside? " he asked me.

" durh, you can't stay out all by yourself... " I answered removing some particles on his hair.

" I can, I'm not like Tife, I can stay here on my own " he pouted.

" are we seriously doing this? " I frowned at him.

" I just don't want to go inside " he continued.

" Hello! " Anu waved at us.
" Timi, it would be nice if you'll come in with us " she smiled.

" Fine! " he shrugged. I gave him this deadly look, why did he listen to her and not listen to me? Oh well..

We got into the mall and while Anu walked happily ahead, I decided to start..

" so sudden, you like her already already "

He looked at me in total confusion, jaws dropped, he asked " like who? Rona.. No, why would I? "

no need to correct him" yes, Rona, you like her because you listened to her when she asked you to come in with us "

" Jesus! Does it mean I like her? " he shook his head.

" date her if you want " I smirked, I was joking but I just wanted to enjoy the confused look on his face.

" she's cute anyways " he shrugged as he walked ahead of me to Anu, placing his hand on her shoulder.
Okay, this is not a joke anymore, I quickened my steps and when he turned back to me, he gave me his famous intimidating laughter before wrapping his arms around my waist, laughing in my neck.

" not funny Timi not funny " I scowled

Timi waited, while I helped Anu find some pretty outfits.

He got fed up, the look on his face didn't hide it at all. He kept on glancing at his wrist watch and then tapping his feet impatiently.

Several times, he'd question me with his eyes 'when are we going?' and then I'll smile at him sticking my tongue out.
He mouthed some few words at me...

I could swear it was 'secondary school student'.

"Benita" I heard my name.

Who here knows my name, I turned to look at the person, it was Nk. Oh, she came shopping too, how nice!

Ironically speaking.

"what are you doing here? " she smiled.

You know, people come to fish and fly in a shopping mall, I don't know if you know but that's what I actually came here to do!

" um shopping, just like you came here to do " I rolled my eyes but smiled.

" ohhh "she laughed
" I'll like you to meet Samuel, my boyfriend "

How come I didn't notice him?

Wow! What a wow, wow in a good way though.

Samuel is a tall huge guy, I didn't like his bald head, but he was cute anyway.

" heyy, nice to meet you Samuel, I'm Benita " I smiled at him.

He brought out his hand for a shake and miraculously, Timi's saw us.
Immediately, he stood up and walked towards us as he could see me putting my hand forward for an hand shake.

" wow, who do we have here? " Timi wrapped his hand around my waist.

" ohh Timi baby, what a surprise Nk is also shopping here " I smiled at him.

" oh nice " he answered dryly. I elbowed him.
" nice to see you again Nkechi and um?.. "

" Samuel " the guy answered.

" yes and Samuel " he smirked.

" I have an idea, why don't we go over to one table there and just chill " Nk's eyes lightened up.

" that wouldn't be necessary, we should be on our way " Timi quickly answered as he searched around for Anu.

" Uhh that's sad, honestly, it would be nice if we could just hang out " Nk pouted.
" to catch up on some things " she added.

Well, it wouldn't be bad, would it? What could possibly go wrong?

" sweetie, it wouldn't be bad " I whispered in his ears.

He gritted his teeth and strongly disagreed.
" No " he didn't even try to keep his voice low.

" Uhh, you're the still the same vicious old tiger " Nk said slowly.

He still disagreed but these days, ladies always have their ways, don't they?

Some minutes later, we were seated with a full table of ice cream and chips. Well and wine as Timi said he was way too old to be taking ice cream.

" Timi, it's really nice to see you and Benita together " Nk started.

" yeah it really is nice " he reluctantly answered.

" so tell me, what exactly is the thing that makes this particular relationship special? " she continued.

" really Nk? " I asked.

" well, I would want to know what's really special... Wait, wait... I mean in it in an innocence way, don't eat me " she answered.
" you can call it relationship tips " she smiled.

" there is nothing to know Nkechi " I answered for Timi, I was already regretting choosing to hang out here.

" oh common Benny, don't be silly "she smiled.
" alright Timi, you're the man, you guys are so cute together, tell me more about it "

Timi frowned "well, I know, I mean, it's the best relationship I have been in so far " he answered. Why did he say that?
" you know I have always loved girls who are not too clingy and aggressive " this time he faced her directly.

I chewed in a mouthful of chips.

"it's a common fact that there are heart breakers all around, it's just depends on if the available ladies are foolish enough to fall into their traps " Timi pushed away his chips.

" wow! You don't mean to tell me the heart breakers around haven't changed from their ways, wow... I feel so sorry for the ladies victim " she dabbed the bit of ice cream on her lips and smiled at me.

" why don't you both let us in?.... We are lost here, aren't we,? Benita? " Samuel chuckled.

well, I wasn't entirely lost, why did I agree to chilling here again? Remind me somebody, anybody?

I fake laughed and tried to change the topic.
"it looks like it's going to rain soon"

"I hope it doesn't, my clothes are outside " Anu replied. Bless her for trying to helping me.

"I'm so happy and would be willing to let the whole world know that I am in love with a beautiful angel here, did I forget to tell you she is the wisest I have dated so far " Timi smiled as he pulled me closer for a kiss. It was a quick kiss on the lips unlike Nk who kissed her man on the cheek.

It wasn't hidden that there was something going on.

"so um Timi, are you also a student of Atlantic University? " Samuel asked, wanting to start a proper conversation.

"well, some years ago, I finished from Covenant University, that answers your question" he smiled and raised his wine glass to his lips.

" I assume you are still a student, aren't you?" the question seemed simple but please, Timi is my boyfriend, there was mockery behind his tone.

"um yeah, I am a finalist, I would be rounding up my four years course - psychology " Samuel answered proudly.

" that's nice, well you should focus more on coming out with a first class or something and not on unnecessary things " Timi answered and why exactly is he giving attitudes?

Samuel looked offended "Excuse me and who exactly are you to tell me what to do? For all I know you could be a regular employee. Doesn't give you any reason to speak to me this way."

I don't even like where this is going.

"it would interest you to know that this estate, where you are comfortably seated on is carefully under my care.... you can call me... What's the word again? Oh yeah, the owner of this large and beautiful estate " Timi answered calmly.

" you are nothing but a son of a bitch, common Samuel, let's go " Nk growled as she stood up to leave along with a defeated Samuel.

" what was that for? You were just being rude " I practically yelled.

" I didn't tell you, Nkechi hasn't gotten over the fact that I picked you over her, she has been sending me crazy messages saying I made a mistake by leaving her "

He cut me short "didn't you see she was trying to make me feel bad by indirectly condemning me saying Samuel is better than I am"

"you should avoid her, she's just too clingy and really aggressive " he added before taking the last content from his glass.

He seemed upset as he immediately stood up to leave, I turned to Anu for help, she smiled at me" God is with you! "

He didn't say much in the car and after he dropped us in the hostel, he hurriedly gave me a light kiss before driving off.

" why is he even angry?" I asked aloud.

Anu who was struggling to carry all the things she just bought, answered
"maybe because you were the one who forced him to talk with Nk and Samuel"

"soo? Was it wrong of me? "

" well, it was somehow sha like considering the fact they once dated " she shrugged before heading up the stairs. I followed behind.

The girls noticed I was bothered and when I didn't want to tell them what was wrong, Anu did the talking.

Rona laughed her heart at me.

" what's your problem? It's not even funny " I growled.

" if you were in a relationship with God, you won't be passing through all these unnecessary heart break, my dear, God wouldn't break your heart " she laughed.

" Wait... This is not an heart break, oh God, Rona "

" Benita, there's no point trying to argue with Rona, you won't even win.... Just call Timi and sort out things with him " Debra advised.

I did as she said and was thinking he wouldn't pick my call. He did.

I told him I was sorry for what I did even though I didn't know what I did.

He only explained to me.
" Baby.... Look, this is the thing, I understand you are trying to turn to a new leaf and become nice to everybody... Nk is clearly not over me but you still wanted me to chill with her, there are some things that you are to ignore like there are some things you are to leave the way they are. I'm even so sure that if Olive or whatever, calls you to come and dine with her, even with all what she has done to you, you'll still go and meet her "

" what was that even supposed to mean? You know what, fine, I've heard you and all the same, I have every reason to get angry at you.... You didn't even tell me you owned Sunshine estate and even Tim's lake mall, I had no idea ".

" well, I didn't consider it as big deal to let you know " he answered.

" neither did you consider it as a big deal to let me know that Nk still sends you messages, uh "

" Benita, are you seriously doing this? "

He was quiet for a while before finally speaking up" so technically, you are angry because I got angry and then you got angrier because you feel you are the only one that is meant to get angry? "

" whatever that means, yes... You have no right to get angry for what I did because it was so trivial "

" yeah, say hi to Emeka for me " with that, I dropped the phone.

" mad ohhhh " Debra laughed.

" well, it's normal to have disagreements in a relationship but..... With God, there can never be one " of course, it was Rona.

"that's a wow" Aisha smiled sitting up straight. She would probably start liking Timi as a friend now that she realised he's the owner of one of the biggest mall
around.

"and you mentioned something about Nk not yet over him? " Debra asked.

"yes na"

There was silence.

"do you remember how we threatened girls that flocked round Jude back then in high school? " Debra's eyes lightened up.

Aisha laughed as she and Debra talked about how life was interesting then.
I only thought about Timi, he had no right to get angry because looking at it, I didn't even know what I did.

I was already thinking that now that we are officially together, life would be more of an 'happily ever after'.

"I don't care anymore! " I rolled my eyes.

The girls turned to me "you don't care that we beat up Omolara back then?" Debra asked a bit confused. They were having their own talk and I had to interrupt them with my thought.

"I'm not going to beg Timi " I stated.

They all stared at me closely before Aisha decided to talk " I don't know if you know but Timi is a very fine guy and there are many girls after him, if you like, don't beg him..."

"she shouldn't beg him. Women don't have to do the begging all the time" aunty Feminism spoke up.

"she made a wrong move by trying to make him talk with Nk when he clearly didn't want to "Aisha raised her voice.

"it's not even worth getting angry for and since when did you start taking his side? " Debra asked.

Yeah, that's true... When?

" well, he's a nice guy " Aisha shrugged.

" because he owns an estate? " Debra asked.

"no.. Well, partially... He's a nice guy, you just don't know, he once helped me when a guy hit me" she explained.

"I don't even care! I'm off to the salon" I announced before picking my purse to leave.

At the salon, while my hair was being washed. I noticed a lady barking orders at people.

As I raised up my head, I looked closely at her, it was Ifeoma.... Timi's ex.

I totally ignored her, it's been long I even saw her.

Is she like a close friend to the owner of this salon because she was really bossing around.

After I got my hair dried, I picked up my keys and purse to leave, grateful she didn't see me.

Just as I was close to the door, I heard it.
"young lady! "

I acted like I didn't hear her.

" Hey, tap that lady over there " I could hear her say.

Just as I pushed the door opened, I got tapped "someone's calling you".

I heard the clicking of heels heading towards me. Sighing, I turned to face her.

"Hello, how are you? It's been a while I saw you " she smiled at me.

Yeah, don't smile, thank you.

" yeah, I guess... Good evening " I didn't know what to say.

" Good evening sweetheart. You look amazing " she grinned.

" Thanks, you too " I answered shortly glancing at my wrist watch.

" it seems you're in a hurry " she started as she brought out something from her bag.

" so um, I'm sure you know Timi's birthday is the day after tomorrow, and my big cute baby let me throw a birthday party for him... So here, it's more like an I.V card, I'll be more than glad to see you there " she put the paper in my hand and walked away.

I didn't even know about it!

Wow! I have been a terrible girlfriend, how on Earth have I not bothered to find out more about his birthday?
