"you are the mr Timi of the other day , isn't it?"
Benita's mom was surprised to see me again.

It was the next day after Aisha came to pull me out of the office.

"yes, I happen to be the same mr Timi " I answered with a soft smile to lighten the mood.

" how is it possible you became a friend of my daughter? " she asked with a serious face.

" mumcy chill.... They are just friends, simple friends " dread guy whose name I found out to be Dotun answered.

" well, it seems, you know odd " Mrs Modupe stated.

" well believe me madam, I wouldn't do anything to hurt your daughter, she's a great friend and that's basically all " hell, that's not all.

Did I mention I love her accent?

" Okay, well your presence seems to have done a lot to help her get herself,I appreciate that " she smiled at me before heading away.

" you dey fear?" Dotun laughed.

"how I go fear? "

" no fear, nothing go sup " he touched my shoulder.

I had no fear, he was talking trash.

Mrs Modupe was kind enough to get the help to get me something to eat, I didn't want to at first but she insisted.
I was able to get Benny out of the room to eat on the dinning, she didn't want to so I had to feed her, after that, I ate mine.

It saddened me to see her this sad, she said no word but just focused her eyes on no particular thing for a very long time.

"it's creepy"
I turned to the direction of the voice. It was her baby brother.

"Tife, how are you?" I asked him.

"I'm fine but she isn't "

" she'll be fine " I smiled at him.
He nodded and smiled back as he sat on a chair.

He blushed then asked me "do you want to marry my sister?"

I had not laughed in hours but his innocence made me laugh.

He got shy because of my laughter. Benny always told me my laughter was intimidating.

"would you want me to marry your sister? " I sounded stupid.

" yes " it was his turn to laugh.

" you didn't go to school today? " I wanted to change the subject.

" I didn't "

" wouldn't that affect you? You're in what class again? "

" I'm in Jss3" he smiled feeling proud.

"wow, you're a big boy already " I laughed.

" I know right, you're the only one who sees that " he joined me laughing.

Progress!
Benita's younger brother likes me... Progress.
I'd have to work harder though.

" would you like me to take you out or something? "

His eyes lightened up in excitement.
" you wouldn't mind, would you ?

I laughed, I actually would mind, I'd rather love to be with Benita the whole day but okay.
"I wouldn't mind "

He made to hug me but laughed it away as he excused himself to change. I smiled.

" so um Benny, I would be going out with your younger brother... You'll manage without me, would you? " I asked her even when I knew she wouldn't answer.

She didn't.

" alright then, I'll get you something when I get back" I assured her.
I carried her back to Ben's room. She wouldn't stay anywhere else apart from there. If you dare take her away, she'd bring down the building with her screaming.
Another extra bed was placed besides Ben. And as I placed her on it, she took Ben's hand in hers and closed her eyes.

Twins!

I quickly placed a light kiss on her head before walking away to meet Tife.
The younger boy filled with excitement pulled my hand.
I followed him to my car and after we got in, I drove off.

I first took him to get some new transformer games and then we went to an arcade. I watched him play a lot of virtual reality games, he was filled with happiness....but soon he'll go back home to meet his sister's frustrating state.

From the arcade I went to get him some new sneakers. He pointed at hoodies that he liked and I also got him lots of them.
He kept on darting everywhere and there, I smiled as I watched him but the smile was decorated with sadness, if only his sister would regain herself.

Making Tife happy was more like making Benita happy and I was glad I was doing this.

In his face, I could see Benita's face.

I took him to the cinema to watch this superhero movie, I wasn't interested in it, I just wanted to make him happy. It mattered.

We ended up going to KFC and after stuffing ourselves with hamburgers, we were back in the car heading home.

"Thank you so much uncle Timi " the smallish boy hugged me as we got down from the car.
I smiled at him and pat his hair, he hurried inside with the things he got, I could hear him screaming

" brother Dotun, brother Dotun, come and check out this new game! "

Progress, I repeat!

I went to check on Benita, she was awake as her eyes studied the green bulb, honestly this thing is terribly creepy.

" Benny love, here I got you burger, remember how you like eating it "

She smiled.
Did she just smile? Did she just smile.....

AISHA'S POV

Why was Williams bothering me about Olivia ? Not the best time fam!

" so when exactly would Olivia come to see her friend? aren't you girls like best friends forever? "

" school work really tied her down " Debra answered for me.

" school work didn't tie you both? " he frowned.

" well...... "

" I hope you girls are not as mischievous as you were back in high school? " he cut me short.

" we've changed " Debra laughed.

" I'll take your word for that " he nodded with a smile.

We watched as the doctor checked Ben and Benita.

" she'd recover soon but I'm afraid Ben's state is very critical " the middle aged doctor said to Williams.

"Oh God, okay, thank you Doctor Kolapo but please I need you to keep on assuring my mom that Ben would be fine " Williams pleaded.

" well, that would be unprofessional but for the fact I have known your family for a very long time, I'll do as you said " he answered.

Williams took the man's hands in his in appreciation as he led him out.

" she's dead " Debra shake her head.

" shut up! " I growled.

" Where's Timi? " she asked.

" he went out with Dotun some hours ago, he should be back soon "

She nodded and we talked about school work and the fact that we missed Rona and Anu.
An hour later, Timi came back with Dotun and Tife.

As expected, Tife came to check on his siblings. He was on his uniform, bag pack and still held his lunch bag. He looked adorable.

"Hello Aisha and Deb " he smiled.

We smiled back at him asking how school went.

" she didn't turn normal ? " he asked us.

" for crying out loud, she's normal " I frowned.

He looked at the twins, sadness written all over his face. Debra stood up and walked over to him.
" they'll be fine, come here, let's get you to shower then we'll go through your assignment together "
She pulled him out of the room and I was glad she did.
Just immediately they left, Timi walked in with a nylon in hand.

" Hey " he said quietly.

" Hey " I replied in the same tone.
I just disliked him, he was so full of himself.

He sat down facing Benita, he totally ignored me... Excuse me, I am not invisible!

I am not like an attention seeker but acting like I am not seated in the same room with him is RUDE!

I let my phone fall to the floor, I kicked the phone in his direction, he looked down at it, turned to face me and then turned back to Benita.

"Hello! The least you should do is help me pass my phone " I rolled my eyes at him.

" it's not a must, is it? " he asked without looking at me.

" you are so rude " I answered.

He chuckled" Okay "

" did you just okay me? " I asked him.

He laughed and turned to me " does that even make sense? "

Well, it did.

He picked the phone and passed it on to me. "are you okay now?"

Well, I didn't expect him to give me the phone, I wanted him to ignore me the more so my hatred for him would increase. This is confusion!

We were both quiet for some seconds. Okay this is stupid.
"Thank you " I muttered.

" you're welcome " he chuckled again.

Silence..........

" I miss her " he said as quiet as possible.

Was he trying to start a conversation with me?

" well, me too " I finally answered.

" you know, she used to say a lot about you... "

" really? Things like.... "

" like what a sweet and great friend you are " he nodded.

" awwwn "

" though I don't see what she sees... You are far from sweet " he frowned.

" I don't know if you've forgotten but I can hear you " I reminded.

Silence..
More Silence.....

" you don't like the fact we are together? " he asked as he faced me.

" truthfully, I don't like you and I don't like the fact the person I hate is dating my best friend but anyways, I think you're manageable than Fisayo " I smiled.

" I'll take that as a compliment" he arched his brow.

"you wish " I rolled my eyes.

" what about Olivia? "

" what about her? "

" yeah?"

"if you're trying to ask what we chose to do since she's pregnant.. To be very honest with you, I have no idea, if she chooses to keep the baby, it's really not my business " I shrugged.

" Good " he answered before turning to face Benita.
He's just so disgusting!

Fisayo came to the house on Saturday . It was a big mistake.

Benny was getting herself already, she smiled often and she ate on her own. To be honest, all thanks to Timi even though I would never say it.

About Fisayo, Tife was the one who came to tell me. I was in the room with Benny, helping her brush her hair.
Debra was with Dotun and Timi, doing God knows what.

"Fisayo just parked his car downstairs " Tife hurriedly say to me.

" what? "

" exactly what I said too " he shrugged. I dropped the brush and followed Tife out of the room.
Debra was playing cards with Dotun while Timi watched them. Excuse me, weren't they supposed to be bothered that Ben is in a coma and Benny is in some sort of shock.
I shook my head in disgust as I ran downstairs.

Fisayo was getting down from his car, a friend of his came along.
I hurried to meet them.
"what are you doing here? "

" I um came here to see Benny "

" no you did not come here to see her, if you know what's best for you, leave here ! " I growled. I didn't want the rest to know he was around.

" brother Fisayo please go, I know all what you did to my sister " Tife says as he stepped behind me.

" Bolu, how are you? I got you some new sneakers, it's in the car, you can.....

"he does not want anything from you. Tife, I would personally take you shopping this evening to get you dope shoes " I cut him short.

" and again, if you know what's best for you Fisayo, just leave here, you already caused a lot to Benny, get out now " I was running out of patience.

" Aisha, let me explain.... Just....

"no be that bastard be that? Na him oh! "

I turned back to see Dotun running towards us. Timi and Debra followed behind.

" I told you to leave , didn't I? " I faced palm my self. I so much loved drama but hated violence, I could smell it. Dotun's violence.

" bro, let's talk this thing man to man " Fisayo urged as he stepped forward.

" man to man based on how? Guy, I no be man, I be men... You don already price and I swear, you go pay! " Dotun roared as he finally caught up with Fisayo.
He threw a strong punch at him and that sent Fisayo crashing against his car.

" Timi do something " I rushed to pull him but the idiot smirked at me as he sat down on one of Mrs Modupe's car watching the whole scene .
It was a good thing, Williams and his mother had both gone out.

Asking Debra for help would be as useless as trying to breathe underwater as she was helping Dotun pin Fisayo's leg to the ground.

Fisayo's friend got upset and tried to settle the fight but Dotun attacked him.
The guy got angry and roughly pushed Dotun on the chest, it sent him stumbling and eventually he fell.

I could hear Tife gasp.

"please, please you guys should stop " I begged.

" what rubbish is this na? Why you dey fight me? " Fisayo's friend yelled.

" oga shut up, we no kuku know you before " Debra answered.

" Fisayo which kind package be this one na? Imagine, see this useless girl dey shout for my head! " he barked.

" abeg abeg Ayuba chill, If we fight now, everything go spoil, I no want make we fight " Fisayo begged his friend, Ayuba.

Dotun who was on the ground finally got up feeling disgusted that he was thrown down. He rushed inside the house in anger.

" bros bros, Timi right? please help me understand, I didn't mean for.......

"man chill, I no dey hear wetin you dey talk... " Timi cut Fisayo.

" bro based on say you're a guy just hear me out....

"forget guy or whatever, man, you impregnated her best friend, you fucked up na, you....

BOOM!
BOOM!

I almost fell down as the deafening sound practically deafened me.

"oh my God, Dotun please " I cried.

Dotun brought out a pistol aiming at Ayuba.

Timi finally got down, hurried towards Dotun.
" no man, no no no, give me this thing! "
He tried collecting the gun.

" he push me, you no see... This motherfucker push me for ground "Dotun yelled as he struggled to push Timi away from collecting his gun.

" the guy push me, una no see am? ' he asked again.

"I saw it " Debra answered. She was making it worse!

" you see, even Debra see am ." he screamed.

Timi succeeded in taking the gun from Dotun but Dotun wasn't done, he paced the whole compound talking to someone on phone, more like yelling at whoever was at the receiving end.

The gateman was panicking where he was.

"Fisayo just go " I cried.

" I'm not going anywhere till I see my Benny " he disagreed.

" oga rephrase your sentence, she's not your Benny.... Ogun O ni pa wa oh " Timi warned.

" what exactly is he doing? He is not the only one who knows how to call people " Ayuba frowned as he brought out his phone to talk to somebody too.

" what's- what's going on here? "

I turned back, it was Benny. She looked confused and frightened.

" Benny, go back inside " I say as I rushed towards her.

" I saw her coming out and I tried to stop her but she kept on screaming " Mercy who had also come outside said to me.

" Benny my darling " Fisayo cried as he made to move towards her.
At that moment, we could hear banging on the gate.

" Jubril open that stupid gate or I sack you " Dotun yelled.

The gateman hurriedly opened the gate and different scary guys trooped into the Modupe's compound.
They were about ten in total, each had either a dagger, cutlass and the likes.

" no nah, you push pirate for ground! "Dotun yelled at Ayuba and Fisayo. This was getting out of hand even Timi looked disturbed.

Debra looked amused.

" guy guy, this is too far, withdraw abeg.. " Timi pleaded with Dotun.

" no nah, because of this bastard here, my sister entered shock, as in, I sure say na you even cause Ben accident...you want to kill the twins shey? . First, you use something to hit Kehinde on the jaw, I no too shout, then later on you nkor give her best friend belle giving her broken heart, now, you and this thing enter my papa compound, come push me for ground... Blood go shed" he yelled.

The scary looking guys made to encircle Ayuba and Fisayo.
Knowing Dotun, he wouldn't stop until he was satisfied, he said blood will shed and I was so sure it would happen.

I quickly grabbed a dagger from one of the guys and ran to stand near Fisayo and his friend. I had to do something.

"I swear Dotun, if you don't tell your friends to stop, I'll kill myself! " I cried pointing the dagger to my belly.

Hell, I wouldn't even try it! I had a lot to do on Earth that wouldn't even make me consider ending my life. It was just a mere dramatic bluff.

" Aisha you don't have to do this! " Fisayo sighed.

" shut the fuck up, you caused this " I growled back at him.

" Aisha? ... Drop it " Debra started gently.

I guess she knew I'll definitely not kill myself.

" I won't ' I argued stubbornly.

"Aisha please... okay fine, I'll stop them. Guys, guys.. Part two go come another day, for now, withdraw! " Dotun ordered.

The guys stopped moving as they started grumbling.

" you for let me commot their eyes "

" we for use them do suya "

" na God save una two "

Timi was already with Benita, holding her in his arms. He didn't seem to be bothered with the whole scene. Benita was all that mattered to him.

" the battle line has just be drawn " Dotun growled before walking into the house.
His guys filled with disappointment started leaving the compound, each one glaring at Fisayo and Ayuba.

I dropped the dagger almost crying. Tife came to my side and held my hand." are you crying?" he asked.

"I'm not " I gathered myself.
Debra studied me for a while, she placed her arm around me without saying a word. That was her way of telling me 'it'll be alright '. She knows how much I hated violence.

We walked towards Benny and Timi.
" how's she? "Debra asked.

" she's scared" Timi answered.

Fisayo was already walking towards our small gathering "is there anything I can do to help?"

"you can die " Debra shrugged.

" Deborah please, you girls should give me one last chance " he pleaded.

" you think it's easy? Do you know what she's passing through and here you are selfishly asking for another chance... You heard Debra, why don't you just die! " I was beyond angry.

" please Timi, bro talk to them "he turned to Timi.

Timi looked beyond shocked as Fisayo addressed him. He grabbed the nearest chair and let Benny sit on it before turning to Fisayo.

" let me get something straight, she clearly doesn't need you, she wants me. I'm not the type to fight over a girl but Benny's case here is different. I don't know if you know but we are official already, there's no point trying to take what you clearly can't... So My guy, stop bothering yourself "

" are you still here? "

I looked up, it was Dotun, he was at the balcony upstairs.

" you no dey hear word! " he grumbled.
He pointed another gun at Fisayo.
Didn't Timi just seize one from him. I looked at Timi's pocket, the first gun was neatly tucked in there!

Lord knows how many guns Dotun had. This is illegal, isn't it?
If the police should get hold of him, he'll be in serious trouble.

"take your eyes off my sister and get out! " he roared.

Fisayo raised his hands above him, he finally surrendered." fine, I'll leave "

" safe journey" Debra added.

"guy you, you! " Ayuba pointed at Dotun.

" just go, both of you " Debra hissed.

" we go still jam outside " Ayuba says to Debra.

BOOM! It was followed by the shattering of glass.

Dotun shot Fisayo's windscreen. It was destroyed already.

" Fisayo, you too soft, you too soft " Ayuba complained wanting to react

" let's go " Fisayo answered as he forced his friend to get in.
They both got in, the gateman hurriedly opened the gate for them. They drove out.

" brother Dotun would have killed him if you weren't here " Tife says still holding my hand.

" I know.... I know " I squeezed his hand lightly.

Debra nodded because it was true!
