Catherine's POV:

When I saw them beating each other to death I couldn't do anything but to cry, cry in fear either one would get hurt. I loved both of them, one as a brother, and the other one as a lover. I accidentally fell in love with him, I didn't mean to but I did. And the fact that he stood up for me, that he fought for me made me love him even more even though I shouldn't feel this way towards him.

Earlier That Week...

I step out of the school and I let out a sigh of annoyance as I spot someone I truly dislike coming my way.

"Catherine, sweetie so when are we going on that date you promise me?" Jason one of the jocks at school asks.

"Never, I don't know when I told you that we were going on a date but guess what sweetie we aren't." I respond.

He grabs my wrist roughly causes it to hurt and states, "You promised me a da-"

"Let my sister go and you will avoid a trip to the hospital." Ryder's voice states.

"You think you scare me but you don't." Jason responds.

"He said let her go." Came the familiar voice that belonged to Blake.

"When is your new friend going to come out, Ashley isn't it. Maybe you can set up a date for us two and I can have her all to myself." Anderson, Jason's best friends states as they both completely ignore Blake's warning.

The next thing I know Ryder throws a right hook at Anderson and they start fighting. Blake twists Jason's other hand causing him to let go of my wrist and I quickly move out of Blake's way as he and Jason start fighting as well. Everyone coming out of the school surrounds the four boys as I try to break them apart. I feel a few tears start to fall down my face as I fear either one of them will get hurt. Thankfully Ashley and out and broke off the fight, I really admired her for being brave enough to do so.

While I am applying some maker on Blake to cover up his Black eye I catch him staring at me.

"Do I have something on my face?" I ask as I blend out all the powders.

He lets out a sigh and answers, "I am sorry for scaring you like that. It's just that guy really got me pissed off."

"It's seemed like Anderson also pissed off Ryder, I am starting to think my brother likes Ash." I state as add a little more powder.

"You know I agree with you." Blake responds as he winces.

"Sorry." I state as I try to apply the powder gently.

"No it's okay." Blake responds with an assuring smile which causes me to smile back.

"I wonder what Jessica is going to say about this black eye of yours." I state.

"She isn't going to say anything because we aren't dating anymore." Blake replies and I could feel my heart doing a bunch of flips.

I try my hardest to contain my smile, I felt bad for Jessica but I am so happy to hear the Blake is single even if he won't ever like me back.

"Really, and why is that?" I question.

"We were just not working anymore." Blake answers.

"Oh, well I am sure you will find the girl just for you soon." I reply.

"Thanks Cat," he responds and I am taken aback by the nickname. "Is it alright if I call you that?"

"Yeah it is." I respond with smile. "All done the black eye is gone."

"Thank you so much I owe you one." Blake answers before we make our way down the stairs.

The kiss he gave me before he left made my heart burn up and my stomach start to do flip flops. Why, can't I get you out of my mind Blake?

Blake's POV:

Why was I telling her that I broke up with Jessica? I mean it's not like she cared, did she? I was two years older than her, and she is or used to be my sisters enemy! I can't have feelings for her, but I do. I couldn't ignore that. I had feelings for Catherine Benson.

I pull my car up onto the lake house, it was big and elegant. Bigger than my house, and my house was a mini mansion! I climb out of my car and head into the house ready to see both my sister and Catherine. I had to tell her, and I was going to do it this weekend. I walk into the house and everyone is there except Ashley and Mathew.

"Hey where is Ash?" I ask as I walk into the house.

"I don't know, wasn't she with you Ryder?" Amber asks.

"Yeah but she stayed outside after I came in." Ryder answers.

"She's probably out exploring, I am sure she will call us if she needs anything." Parker states.

Although the I wanted to believe them I could. I go back outside and decide to call her. I hear her phone ring coming from inside Ryder's car, great she left her phone behind.

"She's going to be okay." Catherine's voice states and I turn around to stand her there. "Ashley is one of the bravest, toughest girls I have ever seen and if anyone can survive in the wild it's her."

Catherine walks over to me and wraps me in her warm arms and it just felt so right.

"Thank you, I really needed that." I state as we pull away from the warm hug.

I was already missing her embrace.

"Catherine I need to tell you something." I state as I cup her face in my hands.

Her dark brown eyes stare into my blue ones with a questioning look.

"What is it?" She asks, her eyes told me the answer already.

Catherine did like me, and it was time I told her how I felt!

"I like you and I am starting to fall for you." I state and her eyes look surprised but happy.

She smiles up brightly at me and replies, "Blake I like you too."

That's all she needed to say before I connected our lips. Our lips moved in a sync mode and they fit perfectly together. I grabbed her waist and brought her closer to me. This is what I have wanted to do since the moment I first laid eyes on her. She wrapped her hands around my neck and deepened the kiss.

Catherine's POV:

The kiss sent sparkles all over my body and fireworks went off in my stomach. I could feel the butterflies rising and my heart jumped in joy. Blake Carter likes me, me Catherine! We pull away from the sweet kiss and grin like idiots.

"So what is next?" I ask as I look up at his blue eyes that always captivated me.

"Catherine Benson would you do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend?" Blake asks.

This has to be a dream, someone please pinch me to make sure this is real. I wanted to squeal like the high school girl I was but decided to control myself.

"Yes I would love to." I answer as I go in for another sweet kiss.

Blake smiles and kisses me back as he pushes a few strands of my hair behind my ears.

I suddenly pull away and ask, "What are you parents going to say, what will Ashley say, and oh god Ryder will he be mad?!"

"Who cares, I am pretty sure Ryder and Ashley will understand and my parents we will deal with them later." Blake replies.

"Blake I really like you and I want the whole world that you and I are dating but can we keep this a secret for now. I just want to find the right time to tell everyone." I ask biting my lip in worry that he will get mad.

"Whatever you want my princess." He responds. "Now let me kiss my beautiful girlfriend."

I giggle before we go in for another kiss. Huh, girlfriend I like the ring to that. Catherine, Blake's girlfriend. Sound good to me.
