Eddie sees Richie everywhere.

He see him when Henry hits him, calls him names. He sees him when he stumbles into the bathroom with a bloody nose. Eddie sees him when he passes out after a heavy blow to the head. Sees him in class laughing with his friends.

Richie seems to be looking at Eddie too, with his chestnut brown eyes always following him after a beating or after class. Staring at him across from the cafeteria.

Eddie feels as if his brains going to explode, with all the death wishes, with all the hate. He hates Henry, he hates school, he hates life, he hates that he likes Richie so much, but most of all he hates himself.

Eddie just wants to stop seeing Richie.
