Hey guys, it's Riley here. All this week I have 7 exams. Two per day until Thursday, in which I have only one. On Friday, however, I will be on summer vacation. What this update is basically saying is that I probably won't be adding the next chapter until this weekend. Getting my grades up is my top priority right now and I don't need any distractions. This is my last chance to get them up before 8th grade this year, or else I will have to repeat 7th grade (Dun Dun Dunnnn!!!!!!!). Anywho, I have something big planned for the next chapter so that's something to look forward to. But to get you through the week, I've decided to add a snip bit of the next chapter in this page as a little sneak peak.

So here you go, enjoy this excerpt from Chapter 7: Amongst The Insane.

{Y/N's POV}
Agh... My head... Wha- Where am I? I could've sworn I fell asleep in my bed...
I look around and feel something cold beneath my hands. All I could see was darkness and all I could feel was a floor, although I couldn't see one. I tried to stand up, but something was attached to my wrists. I put my hand in front of my face but once again, all I could see was blackness. I used my other hand to feel my wrist and observe what was holding me down.
Chains...? Why are there chain cuffs on my wrists? Wait... What's that?
As I looked around, I saw a faint light behind me. As I stared at it more, I could see it was a torch and that someone was holding it. Whoever it was, they were getting closer. I tried calling to them, but no sound would escape my throat. I tried again to call to the stranger. Still no noise.
What the hell is going on here?! Where am I and why am I-
Suddenly, reality struck me.
I'm dreaming... This is all just a dream. None of this is real. Heh, I'll probably wake up any second now.
I waited and the person drew closer. I sat patiently and watched him.
Okay... They're getting really close now. Y/N... Wake up now.
The person's details slowly came into slight clarity. I could see it was a man with black hair and he was wearing a mask. After a few minutes of him walking towards me, I could make out an object in his other hand as it reflected the light coming off of the torch. It was a dagger. I closed my eyes and tried to wake myself up, for this was turning into a nightmare. When I opened my eyes, he was face to face with me. Startled, I let out a piercing shriek. Still no sound came out of my mouth. He lowered the torch to his face and instantly, I recognized who he was.
Z-Zane? Zane! Help me, please! What's going on? Why can't I move?!
I froze in his icy glare. He took a few steps back and raised his dagger a bit. After a brief pause, he brought it down swiftly into my skull.
