Aight, so I strongly believe that they were definitely in love and it was more then just Hamilton having an 'adolescent crush on his friend'.

I think that they both might've tried to act on their emotions once or twice but it never led to much only because of sodomy and both of them having a difficult time expressing feelings when everyone around them told them that what they were feeling, was 'wrong'.

I also think John Laurens definitely had more of a difficult time then Hamilton did when it came to expressing his love because John grew up in a household where he was being held to a high standard even at a young age, and was the 'favorite son' of Henry Laurens.

Hamilton, on the other hand, grew up where that kind of thing wasn't as important, though sodomy was still around him, he didn't have much time really thinking about his sexuality and things like that until he was a bit older.
