Okay so my cousin has said this and I have seen memes about this, etc. Steve becomes likable/the best character, etc. 

EXCUSE ME BUT HOW?! 

I honestly cannot see how he becomes likable. 

After the way he treated Nancy and bullied Jonathan I personally don't think I'll ever be able to like Steve. Be neutral towards him? Maybe. Like him? No. 

For me Steve is such a wish-washy character with being nice and mean and for that reason I don't like him or trust him.

I'm also curious to know why everyone starts suddenly loving him in season three. Of course I don't know but here are some guessed I have:
1. He becomes (and stays) nice.

2. He becomes iconic/a meme/funny.

3. He becomes totally great and ends up helping a lot of others/being a hero.

Those are my ideas for why he becomes "likable" and we'll see if any of those are right.

I'll update this when I see season three so I can let you guys know whether or not I still dislike him.

Update: now after watching season two I can understand how he becomes more likeable. He's definitely not as bad as he was and he's not as easy to hate anymore.
Currently I don't mind him.

I have watched the first 5 episodes of season 3 and I totally understand how Steve becomes likable. He's such a meme and honestly quite relatable now and he's great. I totally lied when I said I wouldn't like him.
