No one knew what to do. They all just stared at the shadow in the lake, unable to move as he stared back at them.

Time seemed to fly because nighttime fell upon them fast. The darkness made the group feel more unnerved... not to mention they couldnt make out Noahs body, just a faint patch of darkness in the water.

Katie shivered and suggested that they should make their way back to camp before it got totally dark out. With everyone agreeing, they started their way back.

No one mentioned Noah, even though that was the only thing running through their minds, everyone felt someone watching them. Gwen, the one who was leading the way, paused.

(dialogue)

"Why'd we stop.?" Eva asked sternly, but with an obvious shake in her voice. Gwen took a short pause before answering. "I swore i heard something..." She whispered. Eva scoffed. "If you heard something you wouldnt stop in the middle of a trail." Eva said but kept her voice low.

Gwen was about to say something when Izzy hushed them. "Guys...!," she whisper-yelled. "I heard something!" she paused again, listening to every distant sound as everyone else either looked at her or at each other.

Leshawna was about to say something when they heard the distant but clear sound of a stick breaking.
