Max's POV

I could not help grimacing in pain while the nurse was spraying the wound wash on the left side of my forehead where I had suffered a wide gash.

The nurse dabbed at it gently with a dry dressing before applying some antibiotic ointment on it. Then he covered it with a dry dressing. Over the dressing he wrapped a stretch bandage around my head to avoid using a tape that would stick to my hair.

Even as the nurse was tending to my wound, my mind kept going back to Tul.

I was desperate to find out if he made it to this island. We had gotten separated in the chaos and I had lost consciousness just after being lowered to the life raft.

When I regained consciousness on the shore the rain was pelting on my face and I could barely see. I was drifting in and out of consciousness.

The next time that I regained consciousness, the rain had died down a little bit.

When I tried to sit up, I felt my head spinning with so much pain on the left side of my forehead.

I felt blood on my finger when I pressed my hand to my spinning head.

From a distance I saw some guys who looked like they were the cruise ship's staff busy with some activity under a makeshift shelter.

I slowly and painfully made my way to the shelter hoping to be able to get some attention to my heavily bleeding forehead.

The nurse tending to my wound was very gentle with his treatment. I studied his face. He was very good looking, but my mind kept going back to Tul.

I thanked the nurse after he finished tending to my wound.

"Have you had anything to eat yet?" he asked.

I shook my head and regretted it. The movement made my headache worse. I held on to the nurse's arm tightly while waiting for the pain to go away.

"I suggest you go get something to eat from over there where our sous chef White is handing out biscuits, and then come back and I will give you a couple of pain pills," said the nurse, "It would not be good for you to take the pills on an empty stomach."

"Thanks," I said, getting up slowly, "I'll be back."

"Okay, I'll be right here waiting for you," the nurse replied.

As I was walking towards the end of the line of passengers who were waiting for food to be handed to them, I saw someone from afar, near the edge of the water, stirring and trying to sit up. He was wearing a shirt which I instantly recognized. My heart jumped to my throat. I forgot all about food. I forgot all about my headache.

I ran to him.

I knelt beside him. He looked at me in utter disbelief. I knew that his brain was trying to process the reality that I was kneeling at his side.

Then we hugged each other tight, our tears flowing nonstop.

We were together again. I was together with him! He was Together with Me!

Tul looked at my bandaged head.

"What happened to you?" he asked.

"I really don't remember," I replied, "I must have hit my head on something sharp. I did not even know that I had a wound until I touched my head and saw blood on my hand."

"How about you," I asked, examining him all over his body "did you get hurt anywhere?"

"Not as far as I know," he replied, "I just felt so exhausted when I reached the shore and fell unconscious on the sand."

"Let's go fall in line over there for something to eat," I suggested, helping him up.

We hugged each other tightly once more before making our way to the end of the line.

Third Person POV

By the end of the day, the makeshift shelter had expanded, thanks to the many able bodied volunteers.

Also, close to the end of the day, the second group of volunteers were making their way back from their exploration of the island.

Each volunteer from the second group had some kind of wild fruit and some kind of edible vegetation inside their plastic bags and Nai, the leader of the group instructed the volunteers to bring their bags over to the cruise ship staff who was an expert at confirming whether what they had brought back was edible or not.

It was starting to rain again. Everyone huddled under the makeshift shelter. Only one side of the shelter had a wall constructed so far, so the accompanying wind was blowing the rain to the unwalled part of the shelter.

Each survivor was provided a blanket. Thankfully and miraculously the cruise ship staff were able to gather enough number of blankets for every single one.

The staff had chosen a spot on the island that was heavily covered with grass to build the makeshift shelter so at least when the survivors lay on the grass, it felt like they were lying on a carpeted floor.

White brought over a blanket to Captain who was shivering. White wrapped the blanket around Captain and kept his arm around him as well.

Captain smiled gratefully at White and lay his head on White's shoulder. The gesture was enough to warm White's whole being.

"This blanket has a big tear in it!" Plan complained loudly.

Mean had just received his blanket from one of the cruise ship staff and heard the voice. It sounded very, very, very familiar to him. He looked in the direction of the familiar voice and dropped his blanket. He almost fainted.

"Plan!"

"Mean? ...... Meeeaaannn!!! Oh my god, Mean!"

"Ouch! Watch where you're going!" Bas complained as Mean bumped hard into him, making him fall to the ground. His head would have surely hit the ground if Joss had not cushioned his fall.

"It's okay," Joss whispered, "you're not hurt. I'll watch over you throughout the night."

"That's so kind of you," Bas whispered back, "I'm really grateful."

Joss took Bas' blanket and wrapped it around him as they sat closely side by side on the grass under the makeshift shelter.

"If you wish, you can lie down and use my lap as your pillow," Joss offered.

"Thank you, I will," Bas replied, "I still feel so exhausted."

Joss gently caressed Bas' head, tracing the hairline across his forehead. He kept doing so until Bas fell asleep on his lap.

In the meantime, the other members of the ship's crew were going around the shore helping exhausted passengers to get to the makeshift shelter.

One of the passengers kept asking the staff who was guiding him to the shelter if he happened to see a young man around twenty but who looked more like seventeen who answered to the name of Bas.

"I'm afraid I haven't come across anyone by that name," the staff replied.

"If ever by some miracle you come across him, would you please tell him that someone by the name of Godt is looking for him?" the exhausted passenger pleaded to the staff.

"I will certainly do that," the staff replied.

Suddenly, Godt looked intently at the staff's face.

"I remember you! You are the cruise ship's security officer!"

"Why yes, I am!" the security officer replied, "I am actually looking for a particular passenger as well. If you happen to come across someone named Tytan, please tell him I am looking for him."

"I will do so," Godt promised.

Also, I have decided to disregard the friendly criticism thrown my way, that this fan fic has turned more into a photo gallery of our boys rather than a proper story. I want readers to be able to visualize the faces of the characters in the story. Readers have the option to disregard the photos if they want to. Thank you, Anne
